A quote from Jeff about next week's episode, which I'll place in a spoiler tag even though it doesn't directly give anything away.

Spoiler

Anyone want to guess what that's about?

The way they're going, by the end people will be jumping in the fire just the cool off.

It's interesting that after so much bad, things are really starting to gel. There are so many people that now think they have the game in their pocket and with the mixup...people are walking that "I'm f***ed"/"I've got this" line and even forming new groups or solidifying old ones.

Liking the Tai/Scott combo

The Peter/Aubry/Joe tension group will be fun.

Julia being on her own...pfffff... "the hardest thing was just being alone"
hell i'd party at that point...

Jason and Sydney in the middle ugh. I kinda want both of them to go.

I can't see a super idol happening yet...POSSIBLE a Jason/Scott/Tai 3-way with sydney being the fourth. But seriously they should not really trust syd but they no doubt will

Not Anna.

They could have at least kept her around for a few more episodes.

So I guess the "very rare occurrence" a Tribal was a player making a vote, then crossing it out at the last second? Feels like that must have happened before.

yeah i agree. I've seen people change their minds before. I guess I might not have seen them write the whole name down.
But definitely they have started then scribbled out. But it wasn't that big of a deal. Was more of an M Night Schmayalan twist.

Was hoping Peter would survive. He was funny to watch at least.
Was interested to see what he was going to do alliancewise.

Really brains have had it. Scott/Jason/Tai have control of this game.

Getting really annoyed with Tai and his whining.

I was really hoping that vote was going to end up a tie but for different reasons...

Scott and Tai switch to vote for Julia not knowing that Debbie and Joe decide to switch to vote for Peter and it ends up 3-3 but with EVERYONE surprised how that happened.

What? Why? I thought that was a terrific episode. Exciting tribal dynamics and a tense, surprising tribal council.

I don't understand how anybody would think that sabotaging your tribe is a good long term, winning strategy. You're basically alienating almost the entire jury.

Have to admit, Tai's full-fledged heel turn was something I did not see coming.

Also, wonder if the two bully dudes' whole tribal song and dance will turn out to be a million dollar mistake. They basically tipped their hand with the super idol, which the others presumably wouldn't have known about them having, and it turned out they didn't even need to.

Definitely an interesting episode. Not sure that was smart strategy by the girls though. Debbie was mistakenly loyal to Julia but she was also very loyal to the other girls as well. Would have been the perfect person to drop at 5 or 6. With 8 left, they now need Julia's vote so the next vote isn't 4-4 against the guys.

I wonder if the Hidden Immunity Idol rules stipulate that both halves of Super Idol have to be in the same person's possession prior to the votes being read.

But Julia wasn't going to vote out one of the guys. She only joined them to vote out Debbie. If they hadn't voted out Debbie, then Cydney would've gone home 4-3-2.

What I find interesting is that Tai has both idols now. He has no reason to give them to Scott or Jason. If the next vote ends up with Scott or Jason leaving, Tai could hold on to both idols and let them go home.

yeah the people in this season continue to puzzle me.
no one would get away with any of this in the past. no one would do the things they do in other seasons. In other seasons they would just keep debbie and forge on.

really not sure why cyd didn't get rid of jsaon instead of nick.
he's the one she's pissed at.

I have full faith that tai will tell everyone that he was the one that put out the fire the second time and brag about it.

now that he has both idols i don't think he'll give them back.
i don't know if he can unless it is at tribal.

I wonder if you can join them together spur of the moment or if you actually have to give them like they did before any votes.

That was the dumbest idol move ever I think tho. telling everyone who has the idols. I guess it could be a bullying tactic saying I have an idol don't vote me.

But really they gave their whole hand away.
Obviously they weren't 100% set otherwise they wouldn't have to whisper to each other.
or maybe it was just "continue with the plan"

debbie was such a loudmouth turd. she definitely deserved to go. You can't just demand who goes and get away with it without considering all the angles.

And WTF with Joe? He knew what was going down. And he chose not to tell debbie. as if the girls would just continue with the plan. He is not playing.

girls need him but it seems they can't trust him. He needs to shut up and do what they tell him

If they forged forward with Debbie, then Cydney would've gone home.

You're right. They didn't know it would've been Cydney. It could've been Aubry or Michele.

By playing their cards, they altered the voting so that they didn't need to play the super idol.

I'm guessing that the super idol needs to be in one's possession to play it.

Agree with this. Plenty of blindsides this season.

I mean, they were building up to it, but it was still a shock.

Didn't think Tai had it in him, but he couldn't give away his idol since he was tied for 2nd in votes. Loved seeing Scott go.

But only because he voted for Scott, right? So he'd pretty much cast his die already.

Partially agree. He didn't know the votes but Aubry already told him girls were voting for him.

I think he was really trying to cleanse his soul.

They really have to manipulate him with those idols now. ala Erik.
And that will be too easy.

Liking Joe's chances a lot more now. Hoping he makes a move.

OMG Scot's face....he went through the 5 stages of grief in about 10 seconds!

So Scot went home with an idol in his pocket, correct? So there's (currently) no more super idol in play?

I would definitely think they add one, as ice cream man took one home with him too. Tai will have to play his the next time he doesn't win immunity, I think. He's not close enough with the girl group to skate by with it.

Oh yeah, no doubt we'll get the now obligatory "guy decides to look for the idol and finds it in the first tree he looks at" scene in the next episode.

I can't believe Tai had the balls to do that. Really impressive play (and so, so much fun to watch). Perfect timing as it took out the other idol as well.

It really wasn't that impressive of play.. if he had given up his idol.. tai had 2 votes, aubry had 2 votes. Would have been a revote at that point, with all the scot voter's flocking to Tai.

Yeah, really not sure I'd want to be going up against the guy with the two disabled children. Going to be hard to play the "he was mean" card against a guy trying to do anything he can to win a million bucks to pay for his kids' therapy.

The comment at tribal...about how the immunity challenge leader kept changing frequently.

That's how I feel about how annoying people have been this season.

Finally Jason is less of an a$$ and Tai is talking sense. However Tai is SO naive in how he plays. At least that's what I've thought so far....or maybe Tai just has the balls to make commanding moves....of course that NEVER goes down well.

But really CYdney is now the most annoying player on the show. I know too many people like that is probably why. Jason at the end would get 1 vote...maybe 2 if Tai is on the jury. Although barreling thru the last 5 could have gotten him points but I didn't see it after his bullying attitude all game.

But Cydney is done making logical choices.
Tai doesn't really know what an alliance is either I think

I should probably stop analyzing these people and their decisions as if they are actually smart thinking people.

I mean Joe is just a stupid mess.

Am ready to give it to Tai really. Can see Aubry losing the entire thing because she's not playing ballsy enough...although maybe letting everyone else eat each other is a great move.

HOly cow MIchelle shut up...
