Based on the Supreme Court ruling, the level of gerrymandering will make all of these things meaningless anyways.

Also, why on earth is defining the election regions a partisan duty? Shouldn't someone that has no say in the matter be doing it by population and region?

It would be the most democrat thing in the world for them to finally win Texas, flip the senate, then have Fetterman switch parties.

Texas is fool's gold. I don't but it will ever flip.

Likely not but if one guy could repel enough GOP voters it would be Paxton.

Seen this story popping up lately although these days it probably garners him more votes with conservatives.

Is Ohio so red now that the Democrats just gave up? It is hard for me to believe that the "Covid Czar" ran unopposed on the Dem side. If you have a chance to flip a red state, it would be this year. They couldn't find anybody else to challenge a pretty beatable Republican?

The bench is shallow and Acton isn't a bad candidate. She worked with Kasich and was well-received until MAGA decided anything short of letting everyone get COVID was communism. Vivek is the clear favorite, but he's going to have problems with turnout. He's been admirably open about his Hinduism, but watching videos where he says Jesus is a way to God but not the way to God is going to kill his evangelical turnout. If things get bad enough for the GOP and the evangelical vote sits it out, Acton can win.

They just don't really have any good candidates. They put their chips into center-right folks like Tim Ryan and people ended up choosing the Republican over Diet Republican which makes sense. Florida is kind of in the same boat.

Interested to see how much data centers play in local races. Now seen ads from both Republicans and Democrats in the area that are anti-data center.

This has the feel of a Beto-Cruz situation where Acton will lose by 2-3 points and the Dems will claim it as a moral win and will then dump a ton of money into the next race because they were so close last time.

sienna has a poll out today. In a generic Dem vs Republican for house races 50% would vote dem and 39% republican. 5 months ago it was a 5 point gap.

Really curious to see how things turn out.

Also Trump endorsing Paxton, obviously he felt Paxton was going to win but that kneecaps the GOP into at the very least spending a lot more money in TX and Paxton just may be too slimy for some people to turn out.

This must have sealed the endorsement.

And Kentucky now forever abandons it's so called, 'libertarian' mindset and is now fully on the juice for Dear Leader. It kills me that they like Rand and Massie for being so conservative with money, and demanding small government, but now, Massie is being voted out for not being enough of a total trump convert. He should have known better I guess. The rest of the R's do what they're told, and he felt he needed to stand by his libertarian stances. I'm so fucking sick of this race and all the bullshit. It's insane to me that people are gonna vote for the guy who is out there passing out money to his buddies, making millions in insider trading in the FIRST QUARTER, and opening a direct, untraceable pipeline from foreign countries directly into his pocket book.

It's partly Trump but it's also just like the Bowman race where it's a statement by Israel. Go against us and we'll drop tens of millions and primary you. They control Congress.

Massie could get revenge by running as an independent Presidential candidate in 2028. Probably hurts Republicans but who knows if it might hurt Dems more.

Kinda hope Massie and Kennedy burn all the bridges on the way out. Kennedy has already voted yes to advance the Iran War stoppage. Hope Massie names every name in the Epstein files on the floor of Congress.

It won't happen, but it would be a riot if Trump primaried enough sitting lawmakers that they turn on him and vote to impeach and remove him.

Yeah that would be a riot Lathum. Dems should put up a vote on impeachment every day and see who bites.

There are some polls showing Florida Senate race as close. Not sure if that's just a bad trap for Democrats or them putting it out there so the Republicans put resources into protecting the state (similar to Texas). I dont' think either flip but making them defend those states seems like a win for Dems.

Also pretty insane watching Susan Collins collapse when they put a candidate who will actually punch. How has she been in politics this long and this bad at giving answers?

Senator Collins responds to the scurrilous claim from Graham Platner that she sent him to "die in Iraq."

The fact that Democrats couldn't find anyone better than Platner, a Nazi lover who cheated on his wife, is pathetic. We shouldn't have to stoop to supporting pieces of shit to just have a chance.

I hope to someday vote for someone like Platner. Given the amount of assumed anonymous Reddit posts available, calling him a Nazi is just willful ignorance.

Speaking of casting votes, I'm increasingly happy I voted for Talarico. That's the toughest voting decision that I can even recall but Talarico hasn't shifted right as I feared.

I really doubt he's an actual Nazi. And they definitely could have found better candidates but there aren't a lot of zionists under the age of 60 these days and that's a prerequisite for Democratic leadership.

Listening to the guy who won his Iowa primary for the senate seat and some of the metrics he’s claiming are staggering. It’s amazing how these farmers continue to vote against their best interest because they are afraid some boy may compete on a girls swim meet.

The double standard we get from republicans drives me nuts. They clutch their pearls about Platner sexting while supporting a guy who has cheated on every wife he’s ever had and is on tape talking about grabbing woman’s pussys.

I prefer that over trying to find the perfect candidate. Dems need to fight dirty with the gop at this point and Platner is that kind of guy. There is a literal nazi running the government while the chief adulterer runs the White House.

Not having Nazi tattoos, pro Nazi Reddit history and not trying to cheat on your wife is pretty much the lowest bar imaginable for a political candidate and isn't event close to perfection. In response to every scandal his first instinct is to lie, why would you trust anything he says about what he currently believes?

If he can beat rubber stamp Susan Collins I'm good with it.

People change. I now I said a lot of dumb shit in my 20s.

If the dems are waiting for the perfect candidate to come along in every election they will keep losing.

What was the Nazi Reddit posts? I didn't see that. Feels like the Blackwater stuff would be the most disqualifying. The other stuff pales in comparison to what Collins has done (actually funded Nazis).
