Weren't the Texans suppose to tank this year? They're going to be leading the division in a few seconds.

Didn't expect the Bills to lose at home, I might have picked them to be my AFC rep in the Super Bowl.

So early bets on Washington trading for Watson now?

6 players or first round picks. Unless that price changes I can’t see any team trading for him.

Me either, but we are not NFL owners/GM's, so who knows?

Heh according to Cardinals social media, Chandler Jones is on track to get 108.5 sacks this season.

That was an enormous win for the Steelers. Getting a road win and it being over the Bills is huge. I’m not sure any of the questions about Ben’s efficiency and arm strength or the offensive line were answered, but at least the receivers didn’t have a ton of drops. I think the AFC North may come down to who stays healthy this season.

I think I am just going to root for the Browns this year. I see another terrible Falcons' year coming at me like a run-away train. Cleveland had fun elements to pull for.

Ben was looking like a bottom 3 QB and like he was absolutely cooked, then I looked up and they were beating one of the better teams in the league.

Jerry Jeudy with an ankle injury, got carted off. Glad Denver's got some WR depth.

I wonder what the record is for fewest yards passing in a 5 passing TD game?

Agreed. It seemed like the Steelers receivers were really well covered and most of the catches (and really most of the passes in general) were contested. Really, the only exceptions I can think of were a few screen-type passes and one downfield to the rookie TE. I’m not sure if that is because Buffalo has good DBs, Pittsburgh’s receivers couldn’t get separation or its line didn’t give Ben much time, or if it was Ben making bad reads and/or forcing it. A few times he and receivers were thinking different routes (and announcers blamed the receivers) and at least twice he threw behind the rookie RB Harris (and announcers blamed Harris for not turning his head quickly enough).

Just a lot of TBD with the Steelers offense, but reason for optimism because I think Buffalo is at least an above average team (and possibly one of the top few in the AFC).

Yep. Good on them for not giving up, but it's not often you'll get away with giving up 31 points in the first half.

Going for it twice on 4th down against one of the best defenses in the league totally makes sense when your QB is.... Andy Dalton?

While I kinda get it ... 4th and 15? Really?

Pretty much sums up how Nagy feels about the defense right now.

Next edit - Case in point.

The Lions played like the Lions. There have been a ton of games over the last ten years, where they get blown out, rally during garbage time to pull close, only to fall short at the end. Happened a ton with Stafford at the helm.

The defense was terrible. The running game looked solid. Between Goff not wanting to throw downfield and the Lions having no real talent at wideout, expect a ton of underneath stuff to Hockenson and the running backs.

Okudah out for the season with a torn Achilles. While he's still very young, this could be it for his career. It's really hard to come back from this injury and especially so for cornerbacks. What a difference a single draft position makes. If the Lions had the second pick overall last year they could have had Chase Young. I never really liked this pick, Quinntricia were awful.

The Lions had no depth or talent at cornerback and have even less now. Rodgers and the Packers should rebound nicely next Monday night.

Stafford had the best quarterback rating of his career last night in his first game with the Rams. It shows you what strong talent, a great scheme, and a top notch defense will do for a QB.

Very high on Stafford to the Rams, but that said they were playing the Bears last night. Let's see him against a real team before we call this one good

I took the Rams in the survivor pool we're doing at work. Behind SF over Detroit, that seemed like the easiest call of the weekend. In Andy Dalton I trust!

Agreed, at least they are reminiscent of the old whites\yellow sleeves of the past. IE the best looking whites ever made. IMHO of course. First time I saw this year's new style in an online pic I thought they had gone back to traditional style font on the numbers (though later saw they had not). I was disappointed that didn't happen.

The only thing I don't like is the horn being split into two pieces. Make it solid and it's good. I think the wraparound tip just didn't fit the new style helmets well so, in the end, that change is ok IMHO.

I love the way the yellow horns show up on tv and the way the blue pops. At least from distance the horns appear to be solid

Having said that my son found a site online that said the Rams would be wearing the "dirty laundry" 9 times this year. I hope not but God knows the powers that be will never admit how horrible they are.

The Raiders need to get a hypnotist or something to convince Carr it’s the last two minutes of the game all the time. Seems like such a mediocre QB most of the time but has some of the best 4th quarter comeback numbers. Just doesn’t make a ton of sense.

Part of it is that Grueen tends to be very conservative most of the game.

The end of this quarter is brutal. Jones has an amazing run called back by a BS penalty. Then they run ultra conservative plays on first and second down. Kick a field goal on 4th and goal from the 3, then give up a TD. So should be up 14-7 instead go into the half down 14-10. This is why the Giants lose so much.

In other news the Giants need to run with Jones way more. Use him like the Bills use Allen.
