Old man complaint, games have gotten too complicated for the time I have free.

I'm about 2 hours into Cyberpunk and have literally done nothing that feels like I've advanced the story. It just feels like a long tutorial interspersed with cut scenes. Same with Destiny 2.

I think it's because I missed a generation that would have bridged the gap. I went from NES to Genesis to PS1 to Xbox to Xbox One. I feel like the 360/PS3 era was when games really started focusing on more controls and storylines and it's too big of a jump in complexity and time if you skipped a generation or two. If you started with the PS4 area, you're probably fine since thats what you know, but man, missing that gen feels like I missed a primer on how games were evolving.

Sports games are basically the same, so I mostly play those now so I don't feel dumb or bored.

End old man rant.

in Cyberpunk, that's definitely a design choice. I've seen estimates of anywhere from 45 mins (speedrunning basically) to 6 hours to get through the prologue-as-tutorial section.

But when the entire main story is only clocking 23-25 hours, well, they gotta do something to stretch it out I guess.

Dorfromanitk is a pretty cool...city-builder? Landscape-builder? Very laid back, you have a stack of hexagonal tiles, and each round you are presented with one random tile and have to attach it to your already laid out tiles. Tiles can have open space, trees, buildings, rivers, rails, or fields on them. Once you run out of tiles, you lose - but as you lay tiles, you'll get "quests" to make contiguous groups of things (connect 5 buildings, etc), and if you complete these you get more tiles in your stack.

It's got a free demo on Steam, and the full game releases next month.

When it rains it pours for CDPR. They were reportedly targeted by ransomware and then had the data obtained sold on the dark web. Included, apparently, the source code for their in house game engine they use as well as the source code for most of their games including Gwent, Witcher 3, and of course Cyberpunk.

Amy was surprised to find that she had made the first move kissing him. She had wanted to do that for so long wrapping her arms around his naked body. Was this all a dream? She wondered. She kissed him again. No, it was real. She reached down and tugged his dick as he rubbed her newly formed nipples and tightly shaved pussy.
https://livesex.bar/
Since they didn't know what to do they were given a set of instructions in a waterproof plastic folder. They read it and began to try the basic things described in the instructions. Those listed included fingering, dick sucking, foreplay, and a few other instructions. They moved over to the showers and made the water as hot as their foreplay was. Both of them knew they couldn't hold back any longer. They allowed themselves to go further.

Finally, Alex felt like she was ready. He asked just to be sure and wanted to know if all he was doing felt good. She said yes. Then it happened. He slid his dick inside her tight virgin pussy walls and she screamed at first and became aware of the pain of his big dick pushing inside her raw pussy.

""Owww ohhh ohhh oh!" she moaned out in surprise as he fucked her slowly at first to let her get used to him. As he got faster so did her moans of pleasure. Wave after wave of pleasure hit her as the water sprayed down over their exposed naked bodies.

Alex humped her fast from behind like a wild beast after bending her over.

"Oh oh my god yesssss yes yes yes oh yes Alex give it to me. I want you!"
https://livesex.bar/
"Ohhh yes ohhh ohhh ohhhh" Alex moaned out loudly and shot load after load that never seemed to end of cum deep into her unprotected virgin pussy. She thought it would never end. She felt full and knew that it had hit its target. She was going to be a mother and there were no doubts in her mind or regrets. After all, it was too late now to reconsider. There was only one thing left to sort out. She realized she had to tell him her feelings for him and see what happens. Here goes nothing... She thought nervously.

"Alex...I've kind of had a crush on you for a while now and I...umm want to know if you feel the same about me maybe?"

"Yeah I do actually. You are really sweet and very attractive to look at too"

"Oh my god really?!" She replied. A huge weight had been lifted off her mind and heart now that he had said that. "Good" She said with a smile as she kissed him. "You're mine now" They held each other naked under the shower and made out.
https://livesex.bar/
A month later the whole school knew she was pregnant. Alex stood hand in hand with her as they walked down the hallway as a couple. They were happy. They were in love. Five years later they were married. Their honeymoon is a story for another time.

Not sure if it applies to the Xbox (though it probably does), but I read something about Sony not even being confident of having enough consoles for the next holiday season. Think we are looking a 2022 then.

In a world where people are paying good money to buy NFT's (non-fungible tokens) of 10 second video clips of Logan Paul opening Pokemon cards I do not see video cards being readily available for quite some time.

Gotta say I picked up several good games on sale last holiday season that are still languishing in my Steam library. I've been on a project and it's pretty intense so personal time has been limited other than on weekends.

Haven't played much other than Civ 6 here and there, and that only to like mid-game.

I've really been itching to play some SimCity lately. What's the /best/ version to play? I don't need online only or a bunch of happy horse crap that got added into some of the later versions. Would it be 2K? 3K? And how do you play it on a modern PC? Emulation?

Depends on what you consider to be happy horse crap I would say. 3k would be my best recommendation. You don't need an emulator; GOG version for example works fine on modern PCs.

Thanks for the recs, JPhillips, sachmo71, and Brian Swartz. I'll figure something out in the next week or two. I'm leaning towards SC3K since I never really played it much and there were some nice additions (like the trash situation).

Cities: Skylines has a version on the Switch, which is really appealing in a "play in bed before falling asleep" sort of way. But the reviews are also pretty awful, as can be the case with ports like that.

SC3K *also* yanked a bunch of stuff that was in SC2K so they could re-sell it to players in the form of expansions.

So unless you're getting, like, SC3K complete, I'd steer clear.

Been playing Days Gone since it's one of the PS Plus games and it is really good. Not sure why it got such bad reviews.

Maybe the story is a little cheesy but being chased by like 50 zombies is cool.

My HOI4 time now stands at 233 hours.

Yeah, I'd say the whole GeForce Now thing has worked out reasonably well

(I still wish my internet was stable enough for me to play more aside of overnights but oh well. And I do wish that the platform was a little more forgiving on idling time)

As an XSX owner it's been quite fun playing MLB The Show 21. The new pinpoint pitching brings me back to the MLB 2k days and I love it.

I can't stop playing and will be up way to late tonight.
