Wow. Sometimes your riverboat is a sinking canoe instead. Bet they would like to have that one back.

There was seemingly two dozen plays that ended by a quarterback stumbling to the ground untouched.

What the hell happened with that run where the RB or QB slipped on his own, wasn't touched, fell on the 1st down line and scrambled forward another yard before he was touched? I totally get that the refs might have thought he was touched, but he landed a yard beyond where they actually marked the ball so how they could just let that entire play stand? The spot was wrong and marking him down by touching was wrong.

What a cluster that was!

I was entertained until I realized some time during the 4th quarter that my fantasy opponent had McLaurin.

I said the exact same thing last night when I saw this replay in real time. I suppose they didn't have a down-the-line angle? He moved before the entire line, but at the same exact time as the ball snap.

Dalton tweaked his ankle after a great start, Fields show.

edit: Knee tweak, and he looks okay.

double edit: Looked a little rough on his series back, and is now questionable to return.

And Baker Mayfield shows why it might not be the best idea for the QB to "be a football player" on an interception. Looks like it pretty serious shoulder injury.

EDIT: Well he's back in so I guess not

Imagine having Christian McCaffery in your backfield and kicking a 20 yard field goal early in the second quarter against the Saints.

So I see Tyrod Taylor is hurt for Houston-do they trade with themselves to get DeShaun Watson now?

I’m hearing reports that the chargers team doctor was spotted going into the locker room at the half.

I'm not an expert by any means, but I'd strongly suggest the Bengals overhaul their O-Line before Joe Burrow becomes David Carr.

Fields coulda pretty much sewn up the QB position going forward if his receivers didn't drop two perfect passes.

Until he threw that really bad pick.

The Falcons are hopeless.

For the past couple seasons I've been thinking they are playing below their talent. I'm beginning to think everyone is just so much better than them.

Hopefully he was on the Dolphins' side of the field or at least was wearing sunscreen.

Presumably (guest of some family friends that are season ticket holders)

His major takeaway afterwards has been what an enormous c.f. post-game traffic is, thanks in part to the ongoing construction of the F1 course.

Using Omar's 'A Hunting I will Go' whistle to introduce the Ravens was a nice touch.

It’s possible the Ravens are still really good at identifying defensive talent. For somebody who was considered physically talented but raw Oweh looks pretty damn good.

No way to tell, but if the Ravens had just collapsed and folded up the tent after a couple bad interceptions last night, it feels like the window might have closed for that franchise. Already whispers around town that they have doubts about sinking $200m into Lamar... if they started 0-2, finished 8-9, and looked like the Greg Roman offense had run its course... who knows?

I don’t know if it’s just me, but the first couple of weeks haven’t had that sloppy feel that we tend to associate with the first couple of weeks of the NFL season. I haven’t heard a lot of talking heads explain that “with limits on OTAs, a lot of coaches use the first couple of games as an extended preseason.”

Yep a lot of "Jekyll and Hyde" teams between week 1 and 2. Not sure which is the "real" team

Nothing personal against Davis Mills. I hope he has a long successful career. However, I need him and any other quarterback the Texans decide to bring in to suffer a high ankle sprain.

So Carson Wentz has not one sprained ankle, but two. And this is after missing the preseason due to foot surgery.

Nice trade there Ballard.

With a whole game and not-quite-a-half to judge, this Lions offense looks better than expected & the defense looks as soft as ever (though they might actually be better without Okudah).

I can't imagine he would have any interest in doing it because of his half a billion in the bank and the numerous other projects he seems to enjoy doing but I would love to see Peyton Manning coach a NFL team.

Nice trade there Ballard.

He's played his ass off despite the injury and shitty o-line play. Looks like a good trade to me.
