Wait, I thought Missouri was after Howland. Now the story goes that Howland's agent approached Missouri?

Let's not get ridiculous here. The fog of war usually clears after the hire is made. Most of the information regarding how the hire went down is out there on Mizzou sites for public consumption.

Mizzou approached Marshall's agent and Anderson's agent. Howland's agent made the initial contact on his behalf. From what has been posted, it's pretty clear that's a common trend for Howland. He's basically contacting anyone who will listen via his agent.

This is a convenient stance for Mizzou to take after they've made their hire.

Look, I'm not saying Howland wasn't the one to reach out to Mizzou - I have no idea - but let's not kid ourselves here that schools and coaches don't spin these stories in their favor. Nobody likes to feel like the rejected one.
