It appears GT is putting up the expected fight. Suprised we haven't gotten any snark from Jon on that subject.

You should have seen Mizzou’s Badie facemask against the Hog

That 3rd and 19 is going to be looked at as the biggest play of the game and the reason tOSU wins

4 of 5 on third down I think and also the 4th-down conversion. Multiple chances to nearly seal it with a stop. Still, I didn't expect to keep the top offense in the nation to only one TD through three quarters. Biggest key so far has been the four long touchdown drives. Michigan needs a fifth, because I wouldn't bet on OSU not scoring again.

What am I missing? Why did they not go for two there?

Keep the "one-score" pressure on Michigan?

They haven't called that DPI against Michigan on 2 opportunities. Michigan deserves the win obviously. It feels like OSU is getting beat by Jim Tressel's ghost.

The OSU defense just hasn't been good enough all year.

At this point, if Michigan blows this lead, it would be worse than if they had just gotten beaten like everyone expected.

I don't see them blowing it though. OSU can't stop the run. There's no scheme to figure out. It's just old-school win the trenches.

Georgia Tech was out scored 110-0 to close the season. Jesus.

Edit: sorry, that has been corrected to 100-0. Much better /sarcasm

Incredible. After rampant fieldgoalitis most of the year, five trips and five TDs. After Walker put up 5 on us in East Lansing, Haskins has 4.

I'm now officially excited - no insult intended to the OSU fans on the board. Just don't give up anything cheap or do anything oppressively stupid ... like, say, that infamous punt against MSU a few years back ... and there shouldn't be enough time left.

Who knows, maybe this will deserve to be called a rivalry again, as opposed to 'annual beatdown and crushing of hopes game'.

I'm not remotely sure that's a sign they "quit" ... they're just that bad.

Virtually no P5 talent, not much D1 talent, and zero coaching.

Iowa-Michigan in the B1G title game would be amazing (for me). Michigan would be coming in with the Big Game Hangover, Iowa always give Michigan a good game, and we get a longer week to prepare.

Michigan probably needs 2-3 first downs to run the clock down. I don't know if Ohio State can stop them.

Kicking the XP there just makes no sense whatsoever. One of my biggest pet peeves in football for a long time. Down 15 late in the 4th, you should always go for two on the first TD.

As I said before, it's trying to use the history of the rivalry against Michigan "You haven't beat us in five tries, and we're here within one score. Make one mistake and we're gonna be tied and you're going to blow it".

Except this Michigan team is like "Ok, stop our run. You can't? We win."

I'd take that over playing Wisconsin again, just because we already did. If it is the Badgers though and it probably will be, they're not the same team they were at the start of the year.

110 was correct. BC scored the last 10 points of their game vs GT before 55-0 ND and 45-0 uga games.

Good thing the GT AD has already said Collins is coming back despite having the money to make a change if he wanted to

I think the last time I saw this was 1995, when Biakabutuka had over 300 against the Pace/George/Glenn/Springs/etc. Buckeyes. They were more talented then as well, but just ran the ball down their throats all game.

Lately it's been more like 'Nice defense you have there. Excuse us while we rip it to shreds before halftime'.

Stansbury is as capable an AD as Collins is an HC.

That's actually pretty close to what I thought the final score would be. Just, in the other direction.

Definitely. Let's see here ...

1. Georgia
2. Cincinnati
3. Alabama anyways, people will whine but they'll do it.
4. Oklahoma or Oklahoma State. If carnage there, Notre Dame.

Georgia beats Alabama for a second time in the final after they win their semis easily. Pandemonium results ....

This gives Iowa a big opportunity if they can survive and advance to the Big Championship game.

I guess I'll end the season right back here. Day will clear the defensive coaching staff and will come back loaded next year. I was really hoping that loss wouldn't be to Michigan though.

My nearly 80 year old uncle called me from Michigan to celebrate the win because he was pretty sure he would be dead before UM beat OSU again.

Very nice to get a win there again. Got just enough pressure on Stroud (it will be a shame to lose Hutchinson and Ojabo this spring - they've been incredible all season) to stay ahead of them. Haskins was amazing - ball security and finding those holes and squaring up. I haven't seen that consistently from a Michigan back in a while.

It will be difficult to beat Wisconsin twice - the Badgers are definitely a different team now. Not to write off Minnesota at home, but that's not a good match-up for them.

Well, they've done one thing so far: they've put themselves in the position of losing the SEC title game and still making it to the playoff.

Now as for how likely I think Bama pulling the first upset is, my FB post covers it

Quote:
In unexpected news, the GHSA has announced changes to their reclassification plans.

Georgia will now compete in the AFC South for the 2022 season.

Georgia Tech is expected to join the South Carolina HSL, after the GISA turned down the Jackets membership request, saying they had certain standards to uphold.

I think if Bama loses as I expect convincingly to Georgia and/or Cincy loses to Houston which is very possible Notre Dame gets in maybe even at the 3 spot.
