heady (and propably life saving, think if he grabs that he´s getting hammered) reaction by the punter. Way to start a game Arkansas !

The one time ULM doesn't go for it on 4th down and it bites them in the ass. Still, to go on the road to Arkansas and Auburn and perform like they did was pretty impressive. The game against Baylor at home on Friday should be great TV.

Toussaint's first 12 carries of the season went for 18 yards. He tied that with his last two. Hopefully he gets going. I want to blame the OL, but Robinson puts up numbers so it can't be all on the OL.

Michigan's D still needs work. Four straight plays of 10+ yards gained before they decide giving up a TD would be bad. 14-3 Michigan.

I know that the Terps aren't on anybody's watchlist this year, but I wasn't as upset with the loss as you'd think. With a true freshman QB, it's going to be a rough year...but it could have been a lot worse today. Funnily, I had switched away from the game for a bit..as soon as I turned it back, they turned the ball over. So I switched away again and then next update I got was that they had scored a TD to bring it back to within 3. Of course, it didn't stay...but it was better than I expected.

I know Michigan will win big, but Robinson threw another pick and it was a pick 6. For somebody who will end up starting for 2+ seasons, having 4 picks in 2.5 games is bad. Hopefully with Michigan up big they will sub in Gardner or at least use running plays with the backs. They could use the work.

It was also a poor decision. He threw flat-footed to the outside while staring down his receiver.

Then, a few plays later, he pulls off a highlight-reel 36-yard touchdown scramble (you'll see it near the top a few times on Sportscenter tonight). That's what you get with Robinson: feast and famine on a continual basis. On days he's more feast than famine, he's the most dynamic player in the country.

Today, against their easiest opponent this season, they have about 450 in total offense in the first half - almost 300 in the air. Denard would break the school passing record, but I'm sure they'll go to a ground attack in the 3rd, then put in all the subs in the 4th.

The problem is he's shown zero growth as a passer. I still doesn't see this team beating MSU and OSU is a toss up. For all of the hype he is given, he may never beat MSU and end up with zero Big Ten titles. That's not the legacy you want as somebody who has started for Michigan as much as he has.

Speaking of subs, Saban can put his foot off the gas now.

Arkansas is having its pride raped. I think 'Bama has played every healthy back they have.

With Bellomy going in for Michigan, it further cements Michigan sticking a fork into the RR style QB next year as Gardner looks to be nothing but a WR at this point.

I hear you. Funny thing is Goo is a friend of mine, I'll be at his wedding in a couple weeks. And he's a good fan.

So was anyone else following this UNC-Louisville game? Louisville was up 36-7 at one point, and UNC stormed back, narrowing the score to 39-34 and even recovered a fumbled kickoff with about 4 mins left. They ended up missing the 4th and goal play, and UL for some reason didn't just take a knee when they could have, instead running plays which worked for the most part except their LG might have destroyed his knee on a meaningless run.

I could not understand the end of game clock management by UNC, and the commentators were praising it so maybe I missed something.

UNC's 3rd and goal play ended with nearly 2:30 on the clock. UNC runs it all the way down...literally standing around...to 1:49 and takes their last timeout prior to 4th down. They miss the conversion, UL takes over. They end up taking the last knee to make it 4th down with 23 seconds left. If they had that extra timeout, they would have had an extra 40 seconds on the clock and could have had the ball back in theory. Not to mention they could have ran their own 4th down play quicker and had even more time.

The 7 point lead Tennessee just took on Florida is their largest lead against the Gators since the 3rd quarter of the 2006 game.

If Wilson is out, and he should be, I would like your odds against a John L. Smith team in disarray.

And a classic fucking series of downs right there.

Patterson bizarrely only makes a one-hand effort on a very catchable ball - for no apparent reason - that falls incomplete. Bray then sails one into the bench. And the 3rd down completion goes for 9 yards, right where the low football IQ receiver ran his route.

Sequences like that are why I watch relative little football any more, at least when it involves a team I have a considerable rooting interest in.

edit to add: picked dead last in the east at media days, had only 1 member of the first three all-conference teams (that's 82 slots).

I know I'm late on this but while it's still on my mind ... 2 key plays in today's GT-UVA game, almost certainly lost amidst the flurry of home runs.

1) 1st play of 2nd quarter
1st and 10 at GT 15 Orwin Smith rush for 9 yards, fumbled, recovered by GTech at the GTech 24.

The drive would continue another 5 minutes, 9 plays & 76 yards culminating in a TD that pushed the lead to 28-7.

2) next to last play of the first half
2nd and Goal at UVA 8 Tevin Washington rush for 7 yards, fumbled, recovered by GTech at the Virg 1.

A timeout & 1 play later, a 1 yd TD run pushes the lead to 35-7 on the final play of the half.

My goodness, Badgers offense sucks. USU gets the benefit of no offensive pass interference call but it probably would not have matter anyway. 14-3 USU.

Time to bench the whole OL for a series to light a fire under their asses.

Bray 4th quarter - 1/8 for 8 yards. Perhaps the most overrated QB in the nation. Defense non-existent, but that's not really anything new or surprising.

Sub par talent + no coaching whatsoever <> a good football situation.

MSU looks rather pedestrian against its first opponent with a pulse. OSU has to be kicking itself for not be eligible to win the conference this year.

Kentucky goes up 7 in OT thanks in part to a late hit out of bounds by WKU. Kentucky gives it to WKU at the 2.5 thanks to a ticky-tack roughing the passerl. WKU punch it in, go for two and a trickeration play wins it.
