Local grocery store started selling these mini honeycrisp apples in a bag which are great. Honeycrisp is the best apple in existence but they are big. The smaller ones are perfect for snacking.

I also feel bad for people who don't know honeycrisp exists and just buy the red delicious.

Are you talking about the Pink Lady? That's my second choice. Grab it when Honeycrisp apples aren't on sale.

I prefer a pink lady over a honeycrisp. But I love them both,

Fujis are usually a go to when honeycrisps and pink ladies are not in stock.

Just bit into a refrigerated, gigantic honeycrisp... and I may have awoken a neighbor. These things are awesome.

If you don't see Pink Lady apples, you might see them labeled as Pink Cripps or Cripps Pink apples in some places still.

Still SweeTango at #1 for me, followed by honeycrisp and pink lady (opal is decent too, an improved version of a golden delicious).

A store around here had a sale on SweeTango apples about a month ago, probably due to it being harvest time for them. I bought enough that I just finished them off today (some help from the kids too).

I always end up buying a bunch of pleb style apples when I'm picking up some expensive ones. That way I can maybe hide their existence in the fridge. Nothing like a growing teenager eating 6 bucks worth of apples without knowing they should appreciate them better.

After having tried them, I dig SweeTangos as well, but Honeycrisp still holds the top spot for me. Fuji during the off season..

I wish they could figure out how to get the resilience of a Fuji into the Honeycrisp/SweeTango's repertoire. That's the only negative with those two kinds of apple.

I swear I have had a Fuji sitting on the shelf in the kitchen for a couple months and it is still as firm as it was when I bought it.

I'm hoping Arctic Apples eventually put a Honeycrisp version on the shelves.

I regularly buy Gala. I've had Honeycrisp and they are good but I'm not willing to pay $3-4 a pound.

Gala and Fuji are the ones my kids like so they get bought the most often. I prefer the Fuji to the Gala personally.

Not apples, but grapes - just saw an add for MoonDrop Grapes. What the hell are those? They look like black/purple vienna sausages.

Mrs. A bought some huge beautiful honeycrisps the other day.

I brought one into work for my morning snack.

Took a bite, and it is flavorless trash.

Honestly ruined my morning. I was SO looking forward to an amazing apple.

I just "discovered" Honeycrisp apples about 1-2 years ago. I had no idea they were a thing. They are amazing. All other apples pale in comparison.

I bought some beautiful, delicious, organic apples from Costco the other day and also brought a few to work. They look so yummy. I grab one, take a bite and it's fucking soft. WTF?! I was expecting to hear a nice crisp with apple juice trickling down my chin. Instead I get mush and grain. YUCK. Totally ruined my morning, too.

I finally managed to track down some Cosmic Crisps at Whole Foods. I bought two to try and... they are as advertised. A sweet, crisp, juicy amazing apple. The two I had were perfect and were as good, if not better, than Honey Crisp.

I never thought I'd see the day.

Thought I had mentioned them here recently when I had my first, but guess not. They are Crisp as advertised
