I just read that entire page and still don't understand what the hell it is talking about. I get that somehow that little division guy is imaginary though, so the cartoon at least kind of makes sense now.

It dates back to a fighting videogame from the mid 90s, "Killer Instinct" - Killer Instinct - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Within that particular game, you had the ability to link up combos of moves (20+ hits, etc..etc..). However, the victim of your combos have their own special moves to break the combo up - hence, the "Combo Breaker".
