314.3 BTW. Not just the 1,000 calorie days, but it all starts to taste the same after a while. I'm delaying my next order a couple weeks, and working in some low fat dishes in with the other stuff.

I think it really depends on what you're looking for. The key with Nutrisystem and why I like it is that it teaches me portion control. My biggest problem was never eating the "wrong" kinds of food, but eating too much of "all" kinds of food. Nutrisystem gives you food that is not always the healthiest, but gives you a portion size that fits in with what a normal person would eat. The biggest and best supplement is that Nutrisystem forces me to count calories. The website has an online calorie counter that comes with the program and is user-friendly and intuitive. I never sat back and realized how many calories come with certain things until I started really counting calories. Also, Nutrisystem gives you great flexibility on how and where you want to use those calories. For example, I am allowed to have two snacks a day. Now, I can have two Chocolate-Peanut Butter bars for those snacks if I want to, and still fit within the plan. However, counting calories through the website has taught me that for the 1 chocolate-peanut bar I could have (1 bar = 170 calories), I can have 170 raspberries instead (1 calories a piece). Now, I don't go on eating 170 raspberries, but it teaches you that healthier foods are more satisfying and less calories. Yet, if I "really" want to have that chocolate peanut butter bar, I can do so. After a month, I have a better feel for the difference between "hungry" and "want to eat". Also, you MUST get the salads, fruit, and other veggies that supplement the Nutrisystem food. And, you MUST exercise. I think this diet can kill people who rely on just the meals or do not add exercise. Bottom Line: I like it because it fits with my needs on how to make a life change, but it might not be for everybody. Last edited by RedKingGold : 07-15-2008 at 08:49 PM. |

Dance Dance Revolution.
I'll soon be getting Wii Fit to provide some change in my workouts And down to 289.4. Just got my new shipment yesterday, and spent the morning sorting out a month's worth of food. A lot of it, is planning ahead, to keep from providing chances where I want to heat For example.. I'm working 2 pm-10 PM currently at work. I have to remember to pick everything (Lunch, Dinner, lunchsnack, dinnersnack) +others stuff (veggies, etcetera). There's been days where I forget one or more things, and it's so tempting to just hit Wendy's on the way home (I have a hankering for their spicy chicken fillet), because my stomach is growling at me, and when I get home, I don't want to go hunting for food in the middle of the night (folks around me are sleeping)

Great work, Foz. Glad to hear that you are still at it after several months.
Is there enough variety in the food to keep you from getting sick of it? |

Wii Fit is decent, and I've tried it a few times, but I never felt I got much of a workout with it. I didn't try most of the exercises, so maybe I picked the wrong ones, but some did seem poorly designed. For instance, the push ups. You are supposed to put your hands on the Wii board, and simply do push ups. The problem is the board is way too narrow and you don't get anywhere near proper push up form (your hands are too far in). But there were a few exercises that seemed simple and a waste of time, but I was surprised at how I felt afterwards. Anyway, keep up the good work Foz. |

Nice progress, Foz. In contrast, my one-day dynasty was a bit less impressive. I plan to improve soon though!
