Correct. I figure today is as crapshoot as it gets, and if we're to err, I'd prefer to err on the side of someone who isn't contributing.

My impression is that we would duel anyone in the same location if possible. What you're saying happened does suggest that we have some control over it, although who knows what's that based on. I doubt that duels will only be wolves vs villagers as that would be pretty powerful for the villagers - maybe there was a night 1 amnesty. I think villagers should have in mind that none of us will get a major victory if the wolves win. We should be looking to eradicate the wolves first and foremost and then worry about the major victory after that. I'm only really going to get one more shot at posting here before deadline. Hopefully someone will say something super-incriminating and I'll be able to vote for them, as I hate random day one votes. |

I'm going to vote for one of the absentee players. So I'll start by
Voting Mrs. Schmidty She can be around during the day, where as the others haven't played for a bit or are more night time people. |

Not a huge fan of this line as people might have genuine reasons for going missing and if they have a role they won't be able to reveal that role if they're put under pressure. Also targeting non-shows is often the line of least resistance taken by wolves to get an easy lynch. |

That is my thinking too - I think we should be able to get something out of the people that have been around, at least more than those who haven't. It won't be much, we all know that, but no point in just throwing votes to people that aren't here, unless of course you don't care who dies (wolf)

So I'm better off going after someone who is contributing and would have to reveal if they had a role anyhow?
Sorry, I don't buy that line of thinking. I just don't see the net benefit of it. |

Additionally, in a game like this where villagers are going to off villagers, it's to the wolves advantage to just keep quiet for the onset to see how things shake out.
Hell our seer and our bodyguard could both go to the same city for a duel on Night one and we could lose one that way. |

Well, let's be honest, there hasn't really been a whole lot of contributing yet. I mean is there really a big difference between someone saying "checking in" and someone not posting at all? Yes they would have to reveal their role and thus save themselves and leaving the wolves and the bodyguard the decision of whether they're going to be targeted. As opposed to someone who forgot the start time or who has lost internet connection and would consequently not have that opportunity to reveal. Lathum's said non-contributors are going to lose their duels automatically, so if you're really worried about your list not showing up chances they should be killed in duels pretty quickly. |

He said people who didn't send an action would lose automatically, not non-contirbutors. There's a difference there. What I'm saying is, it's not exactly a bad wolf ploy here to keep pretty mum starting out, send whatever action they need to and let villagers off villagers for a few days and then re-assess. We've already seen that people are just going to naturally go to the same cities and if I'm interpreting things correctly, duels happen whether intentional or not. Heck, if you and I pick the same city tonight Narc we could be in a duel. The wolves have to be seeing that as being to their advantage and could/should be striving to just stay alive. |

Sorry I didn't check in, just didn't really feel the need. I just got home from my classes now so that's why I didn't contribute anything today. I resisted my urge last night and saw the cubbies play.

Not to attempt to implicate illini here, but his happening to show up within 4 minutes of getting heat for not checking in is prizzactly what I was getting at earlier.

Got zero time to say much. My usual ploy is to add my vote to someone else's to try and shake things up and avoid lots of single votes. For no other reason than that, and the usual "dangerous UTR player" business. This change won't be moved because I'm going to bed.
Vote NTNDeacon Incidentally I was also in SF. Didn't get a tingle which at first I thought might be significant but if Saldana was also there and didn't feel anything maybe it isn't. Or maybe it is and we just don't know why. |

Ah gotcha, is that how it'd work? I honestly don't know enough about the backstory here. Same principle applies, our BG and the unlynchable guy could meet up and BAM one dies. My general point here is that there are going to be more deaths than normal that are completely out of our control. That's a wolf advantage situation. |
