thanks hoops, and thanks to everyone else for even noticing that i have been gone...what lathum said is essentially correct...a combination of no time and no tolerance for asshattery pulled me away, but the fact that the crew in this game looks pretty much the same as it did during the golden age of FOFC WW was too much of a hook to ignore.

and i fully expect at least 2 day one votes (dubb and alan), for nostalgia if nothing else!

Okay, with a lot of people already signed up (although the more the merrier), I'm thinking I'll do the roles late Saturday or early Sunday, with a 2 PM Central Monday Day 1 deadline. Thoughts?

The return of players like saldana and cartman got me thinking. I miss Tyrith and tanglewood as WW players. I'm glad you are playing MartinD!

Came over from another board, USFLTecmo invited me--so you can either thank him or tell him off for me being here.

I'm familiar with werewolf, we've played it a few times over the last couple of years at the board I came from. I'm intrigued by this one and think it'll be a lot of fun...

Thanks for the welcome!

GO BLUE! Although I think I might be the only Michigan fan here. Schmidty is MSU, and Abe is Eastern Michigan/Wayne State, and probably WVU over either of the Michigan BCS schools.

Yup!

I'm at Wayne State right now, but my allegiance will always be WVU!

Love seeing you back here and in a game, saldana. I am hoping your steady presence will be mollifying influence on the always spirited but oft erratic Mr. Lathum.

As for Alan, well, he's checking the thread, but he ain't gotten in the game yet. Your move, Alan!

Why don't you guys resume your annual public service of beating Ohio State's brains out in November and leave the rest of us Big 10 teams alone?

I think this year's senior class has heard tails of when Michigan last beat Ohio State, I doubt they believe it actually happened though based on what they have seen.

All roles should be out. If you haven't received a PM, please let me know.

Reminders:
PLEASE CHECK YOUR PM'S BEFORE GOING INTO CITY THREADS
Each city needs to vote for an Ephor on Day 1, in a PM to me. Failure to vote for an Ephor results in a one-vote penalty, the same as not voting for a lynch.

I changed the title of this thread to signups, announcements, and chatter. I don't mind chatter in this thread, but please keep it non-game-related.

Okay, renaming the thread again to Signups, Announcements, Questions, Initial City Info (but chatter is still okay). I'm leaving it up to the asker if they want to ask a question in their own city thread or in here -- just use good judgment whether or not you think it's the kind of question everyone would want to know or just your city, or maybe just yourself, in which case, PM me. Also, I included 'initial city info' since some people have asked what city they're in, so hopefully anyone else coming in will know to look for it in this thread.

Or maybe one and a half -- ooh, burn on Sparta! Anyway, it's been a little weird for me too, especially since I'm subscribed to all the threads. I think once we get Day 1 done, the storylines of each city will diverge a little as different things happen (though I do think the cities already have different personalities as it is), and that might make it easier to follow. On the other hand, once people move to Hades, adding a third thread to follow might make things more difficult (but hey, if we've been reading two, it can't be much harder to add a third).

You find out the role, just like any other game. There's some exceptions, that are laid out in the rules.

Read the rules 3-4 times already... and it says that if the wolves send someone to Hades they will be reveled as a villager, but it does not say (unless i missed it 4 time) if a wolf would be revealed as a wolf once lynched....

No, I understand -- I could have done a better job of making that clearer, but I also don't like to make my rules post too long, since I find that when I see a long rules post, I'm more likely to just skim it.
