Meh, Google is impersonal, while hearing from someone directly is a lot more fun. Which, thank you that was informative and a good read, btw. I had no idea about this Kit Kat situation with multiple flavors.

Glad it was helpful. I think it's kind of one of those "IYKYK" deals. It's a prominent enough thing around my house for years that finding KitKats (and several other candies/sweets) was one of the very first things on Will's to-do list when he got to Japan.

Shit, I'd try them. I've been going through cough drops like mad, first from an occasional dry throat likely thanks to BP meds, then for the last two weeks from a lingering cold. Why not savory ones? (Granted, I've also contemplated human salt licks in the past.)

Jungle Jim's had several different Kit Kat flavors in various different country/region sections. I bought dark chocolate strawberry. My daughter bought a chunky Drumstick Kit Kat and that shit was GOOOOOD.

Finally got my hands on Pepsi Wild Cherry and Cream Zero. I like it, but at the same time, it reminds me why I don't drink Pepsi. It's missing that Coke bite and has an overwhelming sweetness/aftertaste you don't get with Coke. But the flavoring helps to mask the generic Pepsi crapiness.

dola, we have a few Graeters near us (younger son found them and is a huge fan) and I have to say, as a long-time ice cream aficionado, it's terrific ice cream. But, like, the normal flavors.

There is one that moved down the street from my Mom's place in the Chicago suburbs. The place is always packed and the ice cream is incredible. Scared to look at the calories on it. Also seen them selling pints at the grocery store although not sure it's the same as you get at their stores. |

We've been to the ones in Northbrook and Winnetka. Both locations are across from parks and next to train stations. The site selection, never mind the ice cream, is chef's kiss....

I had a second Pepsi Cherry and Cream today. At the end of the day, it's Pepsi. For the life of me, I don't understand Pepsi drinkers. I'll drink this 12 pack, but I doubt I'd ever buy it again. It tastes like Diet Coke with more sweetener, none of the bite, and all of the aftertaste.

had a Lemon and Strawberry Milano-there is also coconut. Both smelled like their respective fruit. I like the white chocolate base a little more than the regular base. I think I like the Lemon a little bit more, but will need to do some further testing (smile)

Canada Dry Fruit Splash Zero Cherry Ginger Ale ... a mouthful. Kroger currently has 12-packs for $5 (up to 5) with their digital coupon.
Pretty decent. Could taste the ginger and the cherry. A little kick, not too weak like some others Last edited by Edward64 : 01-31-2025 at 05:46 PM. |

Yeah we like that one.
Back to the Skyline/Graeters ice cream. Daughter and BF bought it and said it's good. Apparently Kroger has the pints 2 for $12. I'll be buying one.

Also, for those who loved the crappy flavor of Diet Coke and don't realize Coke Zero exists, Coke is bringing back Diet Cherry Coke. I guess that kind of drink appeals to the same people who like Pepsi.

Something in age I guess, or maybe they have tweaked flavors, but I can't tell the difference between Diet Coke and Coke Zero anymore. Actually it is probably just I haven't drank non-diet drinks in so long that I have lost the ability to be affected by the after-taste. Diet Pepsi is still crap.

IMO Diet Coke has "that" aftertaste. Coke Zero doesn't.
It's been a while (and may be imagining things) but Coke Zero reminds me of New Coke. |

To me, Coke Zero tastes like a less heavily sweetened regular Coke. Diet Coke tastes like a lite version of Coke with a terrible aftertaste.

For you that like to try new food flavors ...
Son's Christmas present was from Universal Yums in below link. Basically, a monthly package of different candy/snacks from around the world. Attention Required! | Cloudflare This month's was notable. From Spain and it contained fried egg chips/crisps. If you like fried eggs, I highly recommend you pay the premium and buy one to try (e.g. from Amazon and use free shipping with your Prime). Found below in my Costco. I've had the fresh stuff when I was in Asia but never the dried version, so tried it.
I suspect many of you have heard of the "stinky fruit", hotels won't let you bring it inside, and even Andrew Zimmern couldn't handle it. But if you get a chance, suggest you gamble $10 and try it. Should try anything at least once, and this fruit is really unique. Gummies are wrapped (like 5 x 6), so don't need to eat it all at once, bag has a ziplock, and I put it into another ziplock. All to control the smell. When eating, suggest you eat outside. Quote:

It is excellent. I thought it was a limited edition they brought back from 2023 or last year thst I wasn't all that fond of, but that was Dark Berry. They clearly i.proved on that with Blackberry. Dr.Pepper has been hitting HRs with their flavors. Strawberry and Coconut are both great additions as well.

I enjoy it.
My wife found the Coke Orange Cream at Meijer but for $8.50 a 12 pack. I told her not to bother since Kroger has buy 2, get 3 free and I was headed there tonight. And guess what? No Orange Cream. Looks like i might be waiting until we come back from the cruise to try it.

Found the Orange Cream Zero at a CVS on Ft. Lauderdale beach. Good stuff. Like a Creamsicle flavoring.

Sprite Cherry coming out in August.
Not sure why we need that when they've still got Sprite Chill which is cherry-lime. Also don't forget, Thin Mint Frosty comes out next week!

Not a new flavor per se, but something anyone who likes ice-cream should try at least once.
We were initiated by SIL in Dallas and found one close by us Just a moment... tonight and it was fantastic. This is a Korean dessert called "bingsoo" or "bingsu" (search on bingsoo/bingsu near me). This is "snow ice" vs shaved ice. Whereas you crunch on the shaved ice, the snow ice is like a frost (?) and melts in your mouth. Lots of different toppings & flavors to try (mango, strawberry, green tea etc.) Highly recommended. (The snow ice is under all the mango) Last edited by Edward64 : 02-27-2025 at 07:34 PM. |
