I guess the bright side is that it wasn't that opera singer from Ottawa.

I was telling people at work today- most of them know I went to Kansas- I don’t have high expectations tonight for us as they're favored and it's a really tough matchup. But I’m not going to be all tired tomorrow because I wanted to watch a Kentucky coronation. Anything can happen in one game.

I see Withey being projected as a mid second rounder, but there's no way a dude with elite shot blocking skills should last that long. I'd be excited if the Cavs could grab him late in the first.

I'm home alone. If I mute the TV about 11:45, I wonder if I'll be able to hear the couches burning 15 miles from downtown Lexington.

UK got a little sloppy there at the end of the half. KU still has a couple runs left. But UK has done a great job this year of answering those runs nearly every time. And a 14 point head start doesn't hurt.

The only hope is to have the same insane defensive intensity KU had in the second half against Mizzou which starts the offense. However, while Mizzou was very good, Kentucky is just hands down the best team in the country.

Still, if we can just whittle it down a few points at a time, I like us close and late. It's just hard to see how we get it there.

They need to start calling some fouls or this game is quickly going to turn unwatchable. I hate that shit when they do nothing but hack underneath and nothing called.

UK has been playing a passive offense since about 4 minutes left in the 1st half as if they've got an 18 point lead and there's 4 minutes left in the game. They've lost their intensity.

Damn, that steal hurts KU. Not sure why UK is forcing Davis to score, though. really bogging down the offense.

Is it just me or are the refs calling a very loose game tonight? I haven't watched basketball for years but it seems that a lot of plays that would have been called just aren't. Has the game changed like that all around? Just looser and rougher?

Totally self-inflicted by UK. They turned it off at the end of the 1st half and can't get going again. No off-screen jumpers, no 3s, just run the clock down, dribble in, and take an off-balance shot.

KU might set a record for most missed dunk opportunities.

It's gotta be frustrating to be out there getting fouled by both teams constantly up and down the court and nothing getting called.

But then there's like some random BS foul thrown in. Jones, Johnson, and Releford have all had that tonight. If you're underneath, hack away. But gotta have some random tacky foul to break up all rhythm.

Here we go. UK can't coast to victory here. They've been playing this like it's the Baylor game.

Kentucky was just too much of a beast of a team. Congrats to them and their fans.

Can't be more proud of Kansas this year, tho. We didn't expect to be here and there was still a chance out there to win it all.

Yeah, nice comeback to at least make it interesting. But that was more of a talented but young team backing into a win because their opponent couldn't overcome the talent gap mroe than a great team going out and winning it like they should have.
