Yep. When he left the ground, the ball has to hit another player or the backboard/rim for him to be able to touch it again.

Kansas certainly has nothing to feel bad about there. That KY team will go down as one of the best ever, and one of the most well rounded teams of all time.

Kansas did a great job of getting the lead that low, and at least made what looked like what going to be a blowout an entertaining game.

Probably the most underrated part of this victory - the local NBC station just preempted Jay Leno. It's a WIN/WIN!

I think the fan base of pretty much every NCAA football/basketball champion these days has to have at least one eye in the rearview mirror.

I wonder if the first thing Anthony Davis does when he gets NBA money is get that unibrow taken care of. He reminds me of Super Greg.

No, it should be to pay an attorney to secure the trademark so he can start making money off his freakin' likeness that others are cashing in on right now and he can't.

UK celebration at 3:30 tomorrow at Rupp. Looks like I'm either going home at 2pm or staying downtown until 8pm. Shit.

Laying in bed with the laptop blaring some Lexington police scanner. We got couch burning, flag burning, and just now a house fire. Sounds like a joyous time.

I would be interested in seeing this year's Kentucky team against the 1990 UNLV Runnin' Rebels.

Has to be flatout one of the most talented teams of all time. Kansas did well to get back in it and make it a good ending, but damn, what can you do against that many future pros.

After this tourney, I finally "get" the hype around Kidd-Gilchrist, who has just never jumped out at me before. His ability to get to the basket and finish is freakish.

As for Davis, well, dude is a freak of nature (and looks the part...) and a lock for the #1. He's definitely going to need to add around 15-20lbs of muscle though, and I wonder how that's going to effect his game. I have no idea what sort of pro he'll make, maybe like a rich man's Marcus Camby?

Davis couldn´t make anything, but sure as hell was still impressive. One thing that has impressed me is his passing, he´s had like nearly as many assisst this tournament than the rest of the games combined.

Davis reminds me of Patrick Ewing without the bad knees. I hope he becomes what Ewing could have been without those knees.

I stayed up too late listening to the police scanner. Was even better in conjunction with the local news people, who were on the main strip near campus (Limestone) and kept saying there were no fires, etc., while the scanner was all ablaze, so to speak. Ha!

Got to work a little while ago and the parking lot is pretty well trashed - garbage everywhere, garbage cans thrown down stairwells, confetti/streamers everywhere...and oh yeah, 2 crashed cars just sitting across several parking spaces next to each other. I can't tell if they were playing bumper cars in the parking lot and just got left there after they smashed each other, or if they craashed elsewhere (and maybe separately?) and parked there for the night.

Should be an interesting day to be downtown.

Looking at those 2 cars again, it appears a drunk driver hit both of them while they were parked in the lot to go celebrate. One of them is a 725i BMW, too. Gotta be stupid to drive that downtown to party.

So for the little bit I got to watch last night, every single free throw had guys jumping into the lane long before the ball reached the basket. Every single one. What was that emphasis on lane violations again?

Which guys are you referring to? The guys on the blocks (free throw line to baseline) can go in when the ball is released. The shooter, and the guys behind the 3 point line, can't go in until the ball reaches the basket.

I have no clue either, but I like the Camby comparison. 'Never Nervous' Pervis Ellison maybe?

Sorry your guys didn't win, SI. I was rooting for them.

Given Calipari's other trips to the Final Four have been vacated, I think it is only a matter of time before this is the 1st national championship that gets vacated.

Short of a Miami-esque level scandal where their hands are all but forced, there is no way the NCAA ever vacates a title. Or, wait? Was USC forced to vacate?

If they do, it will be a real bummer that we lost to no one last night. No one was one heck of a team.

Truth be told, I do think it's safe to say that the Lawrence PD looked the other way on public urination and alcohol possession offenses that night, tho.

I remember when no one had UNC on the ropes, but a non existent sophomore accidentally called a time out.

Mario Chalmers hit one heck of a clutch shot against no one, too. I could have sworn there was a hand in his face, tho, but I must be mis-remembering.

Just to be clear here no one was losing by 2 at the time The time out did make it easier to close it out though yes.

The guy who was shot had his foot amputated. And to top off a pretty crappy day for him, he's apparently got outstanding felony warrants in another state. So he won't be running from the law anymore...

Ba dum-bum.
