Cool. I figured as much. We have a few people who tend to leave some time on the clock.

We're up to #5 in the Nation with 15 four star commits:
4* RB Bill Henderson (30/253) A- Speed, B+ Juke, A+ Acceleraiton. Henderson is a home run threat type RB. He won't always pound it between the tackles but in space he will be lethal. Hopefully we can line him up all over the field and see what he has for us. 4* T David Davis (19/252) A+ awareness, B blocking across the board. Davis is our third 4* OT, and he is another good one. One of these guys will probably move to the inside, which is fine with me. This is shaping up to be an excellent OL recruiting class for us. |

We'll see DeTox. If you get him then I'm actually converting one of my FS signings to SS.

Not sure how many guys we have left, but we'll definitely have to wait until sometime tomorrow to advance to week 5 of recruiting. |

Alright, we are in Week 5 of recruiting now. Indiana grabs four 3* guys and is now the 24th best class. RFL teams occupy the top 5 recruiting slots.

We get a 3* QB commit. Sitting solid with the #5 class, not bad. Not too many guys left I really want. I focus all of my time on those guys, and that's it for me.

Georgia Tech lands a few more 3* players, including the scrambling QB we want, he doesn't really look that great but as an option team we will take what we can get this year.
9 4*, 9 3* guys now, giving us the #6 class in the nation. |

Done. Looks like we'll finish with the #11 class in the nation, solid. Didn't realize we had such a huge class coming in though. 25 players. Probably be cutting some of these guys.

Okay, we're on to Position Changes. This should be a pretty quick stage, as there's not much to do. Macro, do you have any position changes you want to make? Not sure how to handle this.

A small, but quality, class for us. We only had a handful of players leaving, so I didn't want to have to cut.

I don't have to worry about him (unless it's a bowl game). I look forward to seeing how he pans out. The good news is we picked up a handful of athletes and a ton of speed. Last edited by Galaxy : 10-26-2008 at 08:42 PM. |

2008 Georgia Tech Recruiting Class
4* QB Shaun McCaleb - 80 4* HB Hakin Veach - 76 4* G Bryan Watkins - 76 4* CB David Riley - 74 4* DE Lamarr Carpenter - 74 4* DE Bob King - 74 3* DT Elgin Edwards - 73 4* DE Marques Morris - 73 4* HB Jason Russell - 73 4* C Aaron Dawson - 72 3* CB Jake Moore - 72 3* TE David Sanders - 71 3* WR Pat Whaley - 70 3* DE Tony Perry - 70 3* MLB Don Griffin - 69 3* ATH Victor Dailey - 69 3* QB Roderick Pickens - 68 3* DE Wayne Larsen - 67 3* T Brent Givens - 65 (JUCO) 3* CB Antonio Sims - 65 Overall I'd hoped for better given the # of 4* guys coming in and the overall ranking of my class, but, given that I didn't join the league til week 6 or so, I cannot complain too much. Thank the CPU filling my board for the # of DE's on the list, and for my top recruit, Shaun McCaleb. He'll never see the field unless I decide to stop running the option. QB Pickens has a speed of 78 and may be useful. Both of my HB recruits, Veach and Russell, have 94 speed and will redshirt this year and start in the wing formations across from each other for 4 years most likely. ATH victor dailey is the first ATH I've seen that best converts into an O-lineman. Thank god for that, b/c I severely underrecruited at tackle. |

Done.
Pretty worthless class, ratings wise. The WR's and RB's I got are VERY slow, basically the kiss of death in this game. Ouch. |

That's one thing I focused a lot on. Sometimes going for a 4-star recruit, with a lot more speed, is better than a slower 5-star recruit. 3-star skilled position recruits can be an excellent value, if they have speed to burn. |

Thank god we signed the top corner, strong safety, and a converted athlete who may be one of the top free safeties (82) in the country. Last edited by Galaxy : 10-27-2008 at 12:03 PM. |

Just finished swapping some people around. Here are the peope that are left.
EF27 Fozzie Macro Karl Pump-a-lot *** Important Note - Even after I was done with all of my position changes, in the headquarters it still said not complete for me. I had to manually set my status to "Ready to Advance". There may be some other people who had the same thing happen.

Man, the "Athlete" that I signed doesn't even belong in Division 1. He is 6'1" and 190 lbs. Speed rating is 80. 80? WTF. Where can this guy play? I really can't get over how bad this class was compared to the freshmen that I inherited.

I had one ATH who was slated to be my second FB, but he only really translated into a QB. So now we have like 8 or 9 QBs.

It seems like the athletes don't project to where the physical attributes and the ratings indicate during the recruiting phase. It worked out nicely for us this year, but I think I'm going to be a little more careful with athletes. One of our athletes, Chad Collins, will play at left end (his best position at a 77 overall rating) and could be a force with his 89 speed. Last edited by Galaxy : 10-27-2008 at 04:25 PM. |

Some of the changes seem to make little sense. Our QBs seemed to change to DEs better than they do to receivers or safeties, which seems really odd to me.

I hate how athletes lose their speed, if you move them to certain positions like FB.. oh well, I'm done this stage.
