Hicks figured it's easier scoring against the guys in blue there.

Yeah, lets no go there. Too depressing.

If they did a do-over of last years draft, how high would Jackson go? Top 5?

Yes top 5 I believe. He is as big of a weapon as anyone in the game right now.

Come on guys. Lions fans do read this thread. Let's not talk about guys who should have been taken but weren't.

I'd say the top 5 of a redraft would go:

1. Ryan Clady
2. Chris Johnson
3. Ray Rice
4. Matt Ryan
5. Jake Long
6. DeSean Jackson

This is honestly an exhibition from Jackson. He's reaching Devin Hester in 2006-2007 territory for me.

Hmm - Matt Ryan below Rice and Johnson? Both great players, but if you believe a running game is really an offshoot of the offensive line, I'd argue you go with the franchise QB higher.

I am not sold on Matt Ryan being a franchise QB personally but he's been solid enough and at a need position. Rice is probably too high I am just still having nightmares from earlier today.

Chris Johnson right now is the best player in the NFL.

Good list. I think Id put Johnson ahead of Clady and Id sneak Jackson in ahead of Long. Id probably put Ryan ahead of Rice as well.

Me neither, but with this offense it might not matter

Weaver is quickly becoming one of my favorite players.

A very entertaining game and the Eagles end up in 1st place - a perfect night of football

Any team worth their salt can pick the Giants' secondary apart. No way they win a single playoff game. I doubt they'll make it into the playoffs at all.

I admit the Desean Jackson is a talented guy, but I wish he could score without being a douchebag. My favorite showboating moment of his was of course spiking the ball before reaching the endzone last season.

Having 2 NFL-caliber safeties helps as well.

Surprised this isn't getting any play, but the Saints are the first 13-0 NFC team ever. Yes EVER, the Saints have a better record at this point than the '85 Chicago Bears and every other NFC team ever to take a field. But strangely enough, I haven't seen anyone in the national media mention this yet. As a Saints fan I am not offended by this, I just find it kind of weird.

Sure does. Pretty good sign of how bad you are at safety when you have to start a CB who should probably be on IR at the position.

Having 2 13-0 teams probably reduces the coverage and pressure on both. Plus the Saints have little historical or recent success so there isn't a large base of people rooting against them like the Steelers/Colts/Pats/Cowboys/Eagles/Giants inspire.

Also they aren't one of the teams in which ESPN sucks their dicks. If this was Dallas, it'd be getting 10 minutes every night on SportsCenter.

If it were Dallas enough people might actually care enough for it to be worth at least 5 minutes.

Instead, it's the Saints and other than Drew Brees & Reggie Bush I doubt 95% of viewers could name a player on the team unless they happen to play fantasy football. And if they were 12-1 instead of 13-0 and/or if the Colts weren't also 13-0 and a possible matchup of unbeatens wasn't in play then I doubt there'd be even as much coverage as there is now. You cover what people care about and I don't get any sense at all that the Saints fit that description very well.

The Chiefs had someone purchase 300 upper level tickets to get rid of the possible blackout. The person who bought them turned around and donated the tickets to a local National Guard unit.

Only one problem. All 300 went unused as none of the soldiers wanted to use the FREE tickets. Ouch.

Well I'm an Eagles fan, so I must confess I knew from his stint with the G-men. But he does seem to get some face time for being a brash talking TE.

Way to completely not show up, Bengals. I fully expect a similar beatdown vs. the Chargers next week.

I really feel that the pregame coverage was working hard to sell this game.
