Here come Wolverines - from 11 to 4 in a hurry. Wisky better get their guys with 4 fouls back in ASAP.

That should do it. Very nice win for Wisky, although I wish they would win this type of game in the NCAA tourney instead of B1G.

Oh boy. Wisconsin and Indiana tomorrow. Wisconsin beat em at Indiana and Indiana hasn't beaten Wisconsin in ages. Are they finally due? Tune in tomorrow! Good luck kodos and other IU fans.

Michigan BB reminds me of the RR's days at Michigan. If Michigan can't kill you with offense, they simply can't win. Michigan scores 59 total points. Wisconsin scores 51 in a half.

Good opportunity for IU to get some more work in against a physical team.

Tennessee can't shoot a lick, ensure that they'll be seeded behind Bama, if they make the tournament at all.

Honestly, they're an NIT squad at best afaic, at least in a normal year. But this doesn't look like a normal year so who knows.

Very nice and solid win by NC State over Virginia today. Especially so because Virginia's a team that gives talented head-case teams like State fits because they specialize in getting under the opponent's skin with all the hand-checking and banging the refs will let them get away with, not to mention frustrating a finesse team that wants to run (very much what State is) by grinding them into a half-court game.

I can't say whether UVa is tournament worthy because while they have good wins, those losses they have are just putrid. My hunch is that they aren't because the conference tournaments so far haven't produced much in the way of bid thieves, but usually there will be a small clutch of those every year.

I agree with this. The 08-09 season is the best example, where they returned 4 starters from a 2nd round tourney team, were ranked 17th at the start of the season, and couldn't even make it back to the tourney.

Just finished watching UW lose to Oregon. Easily the most frustrated I have been all year. Oregon played horrible and we should have won but never put them away when we had a chance and turned the ball over way o many times,

The PAC 12 officiating was also on display in all their glory.

It's nice that every other person/outlet doing a bracketology at least mentions UMass and says they have a chance with 1-2 more wins, but ESPN and Lunardi won't. I'm sure it has nothing to do with our low ranking in the BPI, a.k.a. ESPN's 2nd-dumbest attempt (after QBR) to replace admittedly flawed stats (RPI/QB Rating) with a worse, ESPN-branded version.

One top 50 win this season, #58 in the RPI, in the 80s in Pomeroy Rankings, 6th in the A-10, in ESPN's bubble watch the teams they list who could still make the tournament from the A-10/other "non-BCS" conferences all have RPI's in the 30s. Seems like a stretch to blame bias in an ESPN-branded rating here... I don't care either way about UMass, and haven't followed them at all so maybe I'm missing something, but I would bet that even wins over Temple and VCU this weekend wouldn't be enough.

When this team limited its turnovers it could play with most teams. They just didn't do it often. Right now I'd have to list the switch to the high post offense as a major failure as the team seems just as lost running it as they did the motion offense and it feels like the turnovers were worse this year than previous years. What kills me is the offense at the end of the WSU game. The strategy seemed to be let the shotclock run down to 5 and then have Gaddy put up a long three. If they insist on that then at least let it be Suggs or Wilcox with the ball.

Romar has already said he would turn down a CBI invite so it is NIT or bust. With the RPI at 89, I think they are probably out so that leaves them hoping for Aaron Gordon. Rumors have Wilcox 50/50 on leaving. If he wants to go in the 2nd round then he should go. That would be pretty frustrating though since his shooting could've made a difference the year he redshirted. They had no outside shooting that year.

Also, love seeing Kentucky getting clubbed like seals. Hope that will tilt them to "first 4 out" or lower status.

Iowa up by 10 at half time. We are playing in desperation mode. And we are taking it to Sparty.

Iowa just needs to do what it does worst, hold onto a lead. I think a win over Sparty gets them in. It would be good for this team to get to the tournament since it's such a young team. They'll be a real contender next year.

There was a foul on the three point shot moreso than the two pointer that MSU got on the other end.

Iowa will be better next year. They should have taken the ball out of Clemons hands after he kept turning the ball over. Reffing was bad in this game. They missed a shot clock violation, Marble did a textbook pump fake getting the defender to jump into him and nothing was called and then that block at the end by White that was called a foul.

26/5/6 and 2 steals from Chaz to lead us to the win. Now we get to deal with VCU's press - at least it's not @ VCU this time.

Why judge A-10 and "power conference" teams by different standards - especially considering the A-10 is better than the SEC by pretty much any metric? I do think we need a win over VCU, I don't even think that guarantees it (and I'd rather make it a moot point by winning 2 games,) but I think our resume is at least comparable to those Last 4 in/Last 4 out he had and worthy of being in the discussion - and every other prominent bracket person/site seems to at least mention us.

UMass: 2 top 50 wins, RPI low 50's?, only 2 sub-100 RPI losses (both 135-145 range) (would move to 3 and mid-low 40's with a win vs. VCU/loss to Butler or St. Louis in the final)

Kentucky: 2 Top 50 wins, RPI 48
Boise St: 4 Top 50 wins, RPI 43
LaSalle: 2 Top 50 wins, RPI 41 (H2H loss at home vs. UMass)
MTSU: 0 Top 50 wins, RPI 32 (only 1 top 100 win)
Virginia: 4 Top 50 wins, RPI 64, (7 sub-100 losses - 1 to #318)
Alabama: 0 Top 50 wins, RPI 61 (1 sub-200 RPI loss)
Tennessee: 2 Top 50 wins, RPI 53 (H2H win vs. UMass)
Ole Miss: 1 Top 50 wins, RPI 55 (2 losses to 200+ RPI teams)

They also have Arizona State, Maryland and Iowa in there on their bubble watch, with RPI's in the 72-84 range.

EDIT - add a 2nd top 50 win for Ole Miss as well. PS - My first time getting a look at UNLV tonight, and they're looking good (although CSU is hanging around). Fun team.

Anthony Bennett and Katin Rheinhardt are killing it right now for UNLV. Bennett hit three 3 pointers close together and I think White Mamba has three 3 pointers of his own. Both with 13 points and UNLV up 37-26 as of ESPN's shitty Gamecast.

Really kicking myself for not going but wanted to responsible and work on my thesis.

Geez, I thought Mizzou had figured out all the bizarre ways to lose late in a game. Then our senior forward just throws away the ball when the shot clock is off and MU has the last shot. Unbelievable and especially frustrating given that the bracket was busted when UK went down.

I'd like to publicly apologize to the rest of the college basketball world for my team allowing Henderson to be relevant in any form. They've got a grand total of two 'money' wins, both against Mizzou. If Mizzou takes care of business, we don't have this schmuck going to the NCAA tourney.

He's still clueless in that post, as was shown by all the people who pointed it out to him in the responses. Mizzou is still in the tournament. Worse yet, he didn't even have the balls to leave the tweet up. If you're going to make a statement like that in a public forum, at least leave it up for everyone to see.

42-36 UNLV at half. Rheinhardt hits his 4th three pointer with 33 seconds in the half to give us breathing room and leads with 16 points. AB still with 13, but he also has 3 fouls.
