I've found it really hard to get into any sports the last year, except MMA, which for many reasons I've watched more of, but work has lined up so that I can take it easy Thursday and Friday, so I'll give it another chance.

It was nice how relatively normal the selection show felt. So, go Syracuse, go on one of your weird tournament runs where your team is limited but your opponents act like they've never seen a zone defense before and throw up lots of horrible shots.

What little I read suggested he was in an area he was not allowed to be in, but that's as far as I got.

The video shows the guard trying to keep in back and the kid keeps trying to get around him and eventually does, so the guard grabs him. and that was a soft chokehold, it was just to pull him away. no win for the guard and the kid should have listened. He also released the hold once he had turned him away from the players and gotten him off the court.

Of course twitter verse is going after the guard and largely giving the guy who was taking pictures in a space he was not supposed to be in a pass. no story here and nobody was hurt.

Indiana fires basketball coach Archie Miller after four seasons, zero NCAA Tournament appearances - CBSSports.com

Unsurprisingly, Indiana fired Archie Miller today. I had high hopes for him when he was hired, but he never lived up to expectations. No idea who will replace him. The Indiana board I frequent is down due to high traffic, I'm sure.

Maybe this time will be different. Until proven otherwise, I'll just assume the Curse of Bobby Knight remains...

After a disappointing loss to App State in the Sun Belt semis, Coastal still gets to play in a postseason tournament-the 8 team CBI starting next Monday. All games at Daytona Beach Florida.

This was our big chance to Tampa Bay the NCAA tournament, too.

I don't have big hopes. We'll probably try to lure Pitino away from Iona and call it a win.

But I'd donate my left nut to get Beard from Texas Tech. His teams play the motion offense that makes me nostalgic for my childhood.

I have the perfect replacement: Steve Alford.

Bring him home, Indiana. That would be awesome.

John Beilein seems like the perfect fit for Indiana, if they can live with his age (68). He may only has 5-7 good years left, but I think he would get them back into the top tier of the Big Ten within 2-3.

Chris Beard would be a home run hire, but he already makes a ton of money and has proven he can win at Texas Tech. I’m not sure I see him leaving the security he has there.

I don't know, rehabilitating Hoosiers basketball could be a pretty big draw.

Pretty good formula there. Or going 0-7 against Purdue over 4 years.

Minnesota and Indiana proving the "grass isnt always greener."

I really wasnt a fan of the Gophers getting rid of Tubby and I wasnt overly unimpressed by the job Crean had done at Indiana.

Pitino did have some bad luck at Minnesota. Or maybe he wasnt a tough enough on discipline as his teams had numerous off the court issues.

Id probably agree however I think the fans in the stands cheering for the underdogs played a huge influence in the "upsets". Being that 25 percent capacity is all that is being allowed Im kind of thinking the opposite.

I took all of my money out of the Iowa basketball stock with an eye towards the NFL draft next month. I'm still doing research but I'm liking the outlook on several Iowa prospects. I'm just waiting for tarcone to release his prospectus before I pull the trigger.

Yeah, I don't think it's likely. But it would be foolish to underrate the appeal of being the guy to rehabilitate such a storied program.

In tarcone's defense just about everyone around here turns into a giant homer during the NFL draft.

It is obvious that Sam Ehlinger will be the first QB taken in the draft.

I don't want to get my hopes up in the IU coaching search, but folks are making that hard to avoid. But BS rumors are usually BS.

The first one is Brad Stevens, the second one is bullshit.

But dear god, people on the interwebs are getting my hopes up. Usually followed by them getting dashed on the rocks of despair.

I'm kind of excited about the Minnesota opening as I have a fair amount of faith in our AD (Coyle). He got Fleck when he seemed to be the hottest property after bringing WMU to the Cotton Bowl. I would be pretty happy with Craig Smith (Utah St), but I feel like he might have a wild card up his sleeve.

I learned years later that that happened here in Boise of all places.

You never know what will happen when you can get to an NCAA tournament game.

They haven't come to Boise very often, though, there were originally supposed to be there right now. Oh well.

Is this the same Ohio State team that almost won the BIG tournament? Unpredictability is the greatest strength of college basketball, but also its greatest weakness IMO.

They are pretty good, but they finished 5th in the B1G which is about right. Michigan is slumping and that is why OSU got them.
