A chance for my guy to catch up to your guy in the QB stat-whoring category, although 12 TDs might be a big ask. (Macro might not like that! ) Last edited by Kodos : 03-07-2016 at 12:54 PM. |

I am LOVING how recruiting is going this cycle. All players we've signed are rated from 75-81, and we landed our QB of the future early. We just got a commitment from the best LB prospect we've ever had. We just need to finish strong to nab our best class ever.

Heh. Gilmore is only 8 yards behind our leading rusher. Of course, that is with one more game under his belt, but still... Joel Gray must be turning over in his grave.

I am iffy tonight right now, my woman informed me we have an appointment we have to be to (930 EST is 730 MST for me) for our business and I am hoping it doesn't go over, but it is up in SLC and with traffic, it can be a mess.

Macro and I had a game where neither team was able to stop the other's offense many times. Our run game was balancing our passing game nicely, while Macro was relying mostly on Gates's arm. In the end, turnovers helped turn the game in our favor, as 4 interceptions sank Buffalo's hopes of an upset on the road and we carried the day, 42-25. Good game, Macro, and good luck the rest of the way.

Got our game in and won despite being harassed by Nebraska all game long. Couldn't take a snap from under center without their DT just running through and pasting my QB. Really made us have to change our offense to get things going. Didn't really get flowing until late in the 4th. Defense on the other hand, they were mostly good. Had a couple drives where Nebraska could do no wrong, but mostly shut them down.

Hmmm... I went to do recruiting and it says I actually have a game this week against Oregon State. I will try to get it in as soon as possible, but due to my schedule, it might be as late as Monday.

My rushing attack was chunking up on avg 2-3 yards per carry against you and I couldn't get outside enough to break anything open, so I had to rely on Gates. It was a solid game, but 4 turnovers on my end hurt. The one I threw in the end zone where your safety ripped it out of my receivers hands pissed me off. Good game and good luck!

Yeah, I was surprised when our guy came away with that pass in the end zone. In general, it was a close game. Our more effective run attack allowed us to keep your defense off-balance a bit. Your rushing problems allowed us to drop more guys back into coverage, which helped create more interception opportunities. |

It took a TD with 14 seconds left to pull out the 21-14 victory.
This team is so inconsistent. |

The bad: Gilmore got hurt in the 4th preventing me from fully stat-whoring him.
The good: Before he got hurt, he had almost 200 yards rushing and over 400 yards passing. The bad: He threw one ugly pick. The good: Our defense dominated all game except for 2 broken plays. The bad: 1 of the broken plays led to their only TD of the game. The good: Our young next in line star QB, Rob Bell, got to play in the game. The big sophomore throws the best deep ball of any of my QB's and he connected on a perfect 40 yard pass to Culver. He also threw a TD to Culver on the next play. We win 84-10 over Oregon State. We are all set to advance. |

Just bought the XBone, does NCAA 14 work with it or will I still need my 360?

Still need your 360. There was a campaign to get NCAA 2014 on the list of games that could be played on XB One, but alas, no dice.

Well, a .500 team did take you to the wire. Of course, in The American, my crappy 3-win team took #2 Outer Banks down to the wire, but they still climbed to #1. I think the fact that we beat a top 10 team helped the voters decide to elevate us to #1. It won't matter unless we take care of business against USC in the Big Ten championship game.

Washington had about 90 talent across the board and they gave us a tough fight in the 1st quarter and actually took a 14-7 lead by the end of 1.
However, both our offense and defense woke up in the 2nd quarter and never looked back. We had 77 unanswered points to win 84-14. Gilmore had a great day with 0 interceptions, over 600 yards passing, almost 200 yards rushing, 8 passing TD's and 4 rushing TD's. Gilmore also broke the Passing TD in a season mark in this game. |

We got our game in against Mizzou and smoked em. Jim Fry had a kick and punt return for TDs and ran for 2 as well, and our passing game was strong. The Smiths were all very good.

Apparently my team responded to being dropped in the polls. It seemed like we could do no wrong on Offense.
Jones was a perfect 20 of 20 when I pulled him because I didnt want to see it end . 400+ yards 5TD plus he ran for right at another 200 and 3 TDs. Our Fr Handy was open all day catching over 350 yards of balls. As we spanked USF. Next. BTW recruiting is going very poorly for me this year. Cant remember a season where I have made so many tactical mistakes...we lost another 5 * we had led for basically all year. I scheduled a late visit just to hold off suitors and he committed on a visit last week to his #2. |

I was able to get my game in last night.
I had to reset up the 360 downstairs, the GF didn't want me to disappear upstairs to play. This was a game the computer was going to win no matter what. My guys bounced off his RB and QB a lot. We threw 3 picks, 2 in the end zone. Sigh...I had 7 recruits at this game too.

Ohio State gave us all we wanted in the first half. Their QB East was killing us both on the ground and in the air. In the second half, we turned the tide, and were able to grind out a 45-27 win in Columbus, despite Shuler throwing 3 picks in the game. Disaster averted.

Our game against A&M was a fun one for the defense, they racked up 8 sacks and generally made the A&M offense look bad. Our offense was decent but sloppy, but several chunk plays helped us score a lot of points and gave RB Tommy Collins a real nice stat line for the game. He averaged over 10 yards a carry with 4 scores.

Everything was clicking for us as we demolished #9 VT 77-13...however we paid a HEAVY price as our starting QB and dark horse Heisman candidate Jason Jones suffered a back injury that will end his season...
We will have to see what the Freshman Rankin can do next week. He had recently been seeing duty as a #5 WR just to get his hands on the ball as he is a dynamic playmaker but wasnt quite ready to unseat the Sr. Next. Man. Up. |

The positives of this game:
- Rob Bell got real game experience and really had some incredible numbers despite playing without star WR Culver. - Culver had 12 receptions for over 250 yards before he was hurt... - Gilmore had over 300 yards passing, 100 yards rushing, and 6 total TD's before he was hurt... - Young WR's stepped up including rarely used Bowers who had a 99 yard TD reception. The negatives: Gilmore didn't even play 3 quarters due to a concussion. At least, he will be back next week. He also threw a pick... The big horrific news is that Culver hurt his back and will likely miss the Conference Championship! Our other receivers will have to step up big time... Last bit of good news: We had a terrific week in recruiting. We sealed the deal on the #1 TE in the nation, #1 CB in the nation, and #1 G in the nation. To top it off, we also signed a few depth guys this week.

We beat Wisconsin 23-20, GW FG with 20 seconds left. Had to hold them.
We couldn't stop their rushing attack.
