You should get an activation key in your order confirmation that you use on Steam by going to the Games tab at the top of Steam and then selecting Activate a Game on Steam.

If it's a preorder you probably won't get the activation code until the game unlocks on Steam in your region.

So it downloads with GMG's downloader and then you use Steam to activate it?

Do the patches come from Steam then? OR do you just pay for the key and then once you input that into Steam, it downloads from Steam.

Thank you.

For products that activate on Steam they just buy a bunch of keys from the publisher. You'll get a key and need to activate it on Steam, you won't use their Capsule program at all.

For you and anyone else playing Dark Souls, there's someone working on a resolution fix for the game (it's only designed to render at 1024x720, then it upscales to whatever resolution you use). It's still a work in progress as the message text doesn't display with it currently, so you should play through the early parts where it tells you the controls before using it.

I think the reviews I read suggeset it's not. Any dissenting opinion would be great though.

I think it is worth $10. I am not a big fan of rts games, but this one has pretty cool gameplay and a neat way to view the map and such with slick controls. It is not an easy game by any means but if your looking for something in the cold war, I think you might get some enjoyment out of it, especially for only $10.

Good to hear! I was really bummed when it didn't get great reviews to justify buying it at full price, but $10 of enjoyment isn't exactly a high-hurdle...

Yep, I would agree.....for $10, you could do a lot worse. Just have to take the game for what it is an RTS that will have increased difficulty as the game progresses. I still stand by worth $10, I believe I purchased when it was $25 or so and I still think that was a good deal.

Awesome - I remember strongly considering Just Cause 2 at full price...that alone makes it a great pack. You didn't miss a digit in that price?

I just bought it. It is indeed $9.99. I had a couple of games in the pack already, but I couldn't pass that up.

Crusader Kings II 75% off on Steam, plus the older CK2 DLC is 75% off on Steam, as a celebration of the newest expansion, Legacy of Rome, releasing.

Means CK2 is $10 for as long as the sale runs, which I don't know how long that is.

Gonna pick up Sword of Islam and Legacy of Rome, though.

Edit: Sword of Islam is $2.50 with the 75% off, Legacy of Rome is $4.99 release price.

There's also the African portraits DLC for $2, plus some other cosmetic DLC like unit sprites and music for SoI/LoR for those interested.

Yeah I already have the base game, so I picked up SoI at the discounted price, then went ahead and also got LoR, the African portraits pack, the Dynasty Shields II, and the Ruler Designer.

Came out to $16.45, so for $1.45 more than full-price for Sword of Islam and Legacy of Rome, which I planned to get anyway, I got the African portraits pack, the Ruler Designer, and the second collection of dynasty shields. Good deal AFAIC.

Not sure how it compares to the other two, but it's a pretty simple strategy game without a whole lot of depth. Only area it really gets by is theme and figured there'd be some interest this time of year.

Tempted to buy The longest journey from GOG's. It's 5.99. I played it years ago and enjoyed it but damn I have to many games to play.
Ya know I wish GOG's would pick up Links LS golf. God I miss that one.

It shows up in the search dropdown as 3.74, but not in my cart. WTF?

It was a daily deal that ended at 1 pm eastern today, though sometimes the price glitches and still shows on the specials list even though the deal is over.

It was mostly in the first episode so they cleaned most of that up in the following episodes. You can also use a controller if you'd like.

It ran without any problems for me and it I don't think the system requirements are that high.

And I second CleBrownsfan's recommendation, it's one of the best games you'll play this year.

I will say though that in a lot of ways it's more of an interactive visual novel than a game. If you're hoping for action you'll be disappointed as there isn't any outside of a few quick time events. And there are puzzles, but they're secondary and take a back seat to the interactions between the characters. The story and characters are more than enough to carry the game in my eyes though.

I bought Orcs Must Die 2 (huge fan of the first and have been waiting for a sale) and the Walking Dead. Actually bought two copies of OMD2, so me and my kids can play co-op.

And yes they sure are getting hammered.

Would you consider the prices of this sale good at all? Is that a good price for Walking Dead?

$15 is a good price. Granted, if you wait another 6 months you'll likely be able to get it for $10. Still, $15 for one of the best games of the year is a good deal.
