i think it was kinda weird - we had good seer+good hoplite in our village

i think those divisions were almost designed to try to cancel out those villages so there'd be a final battle in hades to win the whole thing?

I would think so and that's fair really. Should either side not have held serve in the starting city that was to their advantage, then they don't deserve to win the whole game

no offense taken, but it doesn't make it any less frustrating knowing I basically wasted 3 days with the deck so stacked against us.

IMO a mod should keep things balanced, things in our city were clearly far from balanced.

Now we are going to spend the next 3 cycles lynching Hoops, Heinze and Norm.

I suppose it is a good idea to send me back up there, I hadn't mentioned it because the game really comes down to the vote tomorrow.. there's clearly one wolf left in Sparta otherwise the game would be over (and there's definitely not 0 left because there was a night kill). If they get it right, there's no point for me to go back to Sparta because the battle will be here. If they get it wrong, then the wolves are going to win.

if heinz came down first thing into hades as i see on my page 2 (in the 80's) and said he thinks that danny is one of the wolves in sparta than i wonder if perhaps that is not the case...or if it was deliberate wolfy misdirection by a known wolf

While the wolves get an auto-win if they get to parity (as just happened in Athens), the villagers don't, and don't even get told when all the wolves in a city have been eliminated.

In other words, it's possible that there are no wolves left in Sparta.

I agree with you. The game is obviously stacked so Sparta villagers win. If they can't pull it off then so be it.

Here's something I don;t get. Why is the bad BG in teh same city as the bad historian. The only thing the bad BG does is block the good seer. When in a city with the bad seer, its a useless ability?

As I'm not sure how I met my end in Athens, I don't know if this has been publicly confirmed - will have been included in Pass's 'end of Day 3' post if I was lynched, but there's no way of proving this if I was night-kill.

That's a good question, I asked him earlier conditionally what would happen if my city was destroyed while I was in Hades, and he said you can't go back to the other city, but I wonder if we'd get a second life here.

I didn't notice before that you were the Athenian Phoenix, haven't gone through this thread, but it looks like neither of us are gonna use our powers.

Lathum, don't overthink things. I'm not a wolf, and I was showing it up there before the wolves killed me, and I have been showing it down here since being killed.

Remember what I said about the numbers two days ago. The game already had some strong advantages for the wolves, in that they could communicate across city lines. You already know TheNorm and hoops are wolves. You know that Athens and Sparta were at most within one of each other with number of wolves. You know heinz is a wolf. You know there's still a wolf in Sparta. And the EHist is dead.

If I or Abe are wolves, that would be five wolves and a wolf sympathizer out of 19 players. Nuts to that. I said on Sunday we started with 4 wolves and the EHist, and that hasn't changed.

actually i think dubb has a decent chance of realizing that NTN has to be good and danny is bad - i made the point in the thread explicitly that NTN couldn't be bad because while barkeep was absent from the game the wolves still got their night kill in.

and there's also less to go on with NTN as far as history in the game and danny made some moves that hopefully raise dubb's eyebrows.
