Four times. I just installed it on my hard drive, hoping that would help. Not so much.

Seems to do it when I am on the tab where you can see how much ground you have gained or lost since the last week. Now avoiding that screen. So far so good. Saving often.
Seems to keep locking on the same guy, who I'm in a recruiting battle for and who is 80% locked. Last edited by Kodos : 08-19-2013 at 09:46 PM. |

I flip to that tab all of the time as I re-allocate points based off that screen. No problems there for me. |

Yes, but only after I add guys to be board later in the season. Then go back and look at them on the recruiting detail. once you cycle the week it stops crashing.

Here is an alternate slider set I came up with based on the theory that the games plays smoother (more animations) when related sliders equal 100 and none related are done in increments of 25.
My play style: This is important as I never control a player on defense. I call the D, make coverage/line/LB adjustments and let the CPU play. Because of that I did no testing controlling a defensive player whatsoever. The theory Keeping individual sliders in multiples of 25 (very few exceptions) and related sliders adding up to 100 between Off/Def and Hum/CPU helps with animations (more) and makes game play smoother and more challenging. Some examples of related or cooperative sliders by theory are. QB accuracy/pass coverage, run blocking/run defense, RB ability / tackling and pass blocking / holding. Alternate AA sliders based on these theories as of 09/12/13 Skill: All-American Speed: Normal (slow was sluggish with these) Threshold: 50 8 minute quarters Sliders (Hum/CPU) QBA: 5/5 PB: 70/70 WR: 40/45 (only exception) RBA: 45/65 RB: 20/75 PC: 95/95 Int: 25/25 RDef: 25/80 Tack: 35/55 FGP: 50/45 (adds up to 75 for both use and CPU) FGA: 25/30 PP: 60/60 PA: 40/40 Penalties Offsides and False start: 100 Holding: 30 (partnered with pass block) Off PI: 100 Def PI: 0 Clipping: 50 Int grounding: 50 RP: 50 RK: 0 Tested several offline dynasty games and this has produced upsets, blowouts and nail biters, with pretty good stats. My original Sliders for AA - As of August 30th Skill: All-American Speed: Normal or Slow Threshold: 28 8 minute quarters Sliders (Hum/CPU) QBA: 5/10 PB: 60/65 WR: 40/45 RBA: 40/65 RB: 20/45 PC: 70/70 Int: 30/30 RDef: 40/80 Tack: 35/35 FGP: 55/50 FGA: 50/40 PP: 50/50 PA: 45/35 Penalties Offsides and False start: 90 Holding: 40 Off and Def PI: 0 Clipping: 51 Int grounding: 60 RP: 52 RK: 0 Others at default Last edited by BYU 14 : 09-12-2013 at 04:31 PM. |

had two of the craziest, most fun games in ncaa2014...
beat BSU 71-68 (FINALLY) in the MWC championship as SJSU... Crazy stuff back and forth. 1st game next season: beat #1 South Carolina at South Carolina 63-55 in 4 OT. including my starting QB getting crushed in the 3rd quarter and down by 17 in the 3rd. Tied it up on a last minute FG... in the 3rd OT, hit a streaking WR in the hands and he dropped the sure TD for the win. |

Just curious if anyone else is unable to get coordinators xp points in dynasty mode. My HC, OC and DC all started at zero and I have played ~30 games. My HC is at level 23, OC was at level 12-13 before getting a HC job after season 2 but my DC is at level 7 and does not seem to get points. We aren't always great on defense but he doesn't seem to get points - Did I miss a setting?
Thanks in advance. |

I've seen coordinators promote during a season but at the same time the points seem to stop (or virtually stop) for the coordinators for long stretches. Not sure whether maybe there's a limit on them gaining one level per season or if there's a hidden attribute cap or what. Then again, I haven't had any OC/DC last more than 2 seasons before leaving so I'm perpetually starting from scratch with them.

That sounds like what I am seeing also. It was nice when Mike Riley got fired at Oregon State and became my OC at a level 23! My DC just gained a level during a bye week, not sure how that happened... |

Just saw on operation sports that NCAA football is cancelled with no plans to fire it up again. Can't say that I'm surprised. Hope you like NCAA 14.

I'm using BYUs original sliders and still getting the best results to date, with minor tweaks.
Just finished my first season with UNC going 10-3. Losses to Miami in OT, beaten bad by Va Tech and South Carolina. Basically beat the teams I should have and lost to the teams I should have based on ratings. Year 2 could be brutal with 5 games against Top 15 teams - ND, FSU, Miami, Clemson, and Va Tech. I won't have a high powered offense to keep up with and under performing defense! Last year I had a great QB that helped cover up our deficiencies. |

I have some to my second set I will post later, they have better animations and are pretty realistic. The original set is loses some of the animations, but is pretty solid stat wise, minus the penalties. I would say try both an exhibition game and see what you like best. |

Again, My play style is I never control a player on defense. I call the D, make coverage/line/LB adjustments and let the CPU play. Because of that I did no testing controlling a defensive player whatsoever
Here are my final version 2 sliders Skill: All-American Speed: Normal Threshold: 0 8 minute quarters Sliders (Hum/CPU) QBA: 5/5 PB: 25/50 WR: 35/35 RBA: 50/50 RB: 0/75 PC: 100/100 Int: 25/25 RDef: 25/75 Tack: 35/35 FGP: 50/50 FGA: 25/50 PP: 75/75 PA: 25/50 KOP: 50/50 Penalties - All on 50 (this takes away the effect on gameplay and it is pure sliders, with the 0 threshold coming into play - These are more challenging against the tougher teams and make the evenly matched games more variable, some close, some with bigger margins due to mistakes. I also get more fumbles with this set) Here are my originals (final version) Skill: All-American Speed: Normal or Slow Threshold: 28 8 minute quarters Sliders (Hum/CPU) QBA: 5/10 PB: 60/65 WR: 40/45 RBA: 45/65 RB: 20/45 PC: 70/70 Int: 30/30 RDef: 20/80 Tack: 35/35 FGP: 55/50 FGA: 50/40 PP: 50/50 PA: 45/35 Penalties Offsides and False start: 85 Holding: 40 Off and Def PI: 0 Clipping: 51 Int grounding: 60 RP: 52 RK: 0 |

I'm now 4-1 after a heartbreak loss to Vanderbilt last night. Quite the game though.. fumbled twice in the red zone and couldn't score on a 4th a goal from the 1/2 yard line earlier in the game.
Was up 31-27 with about 1:30 left in the game and Vandy marches 60+ yards to bring up the last play of the game. They complete a pass to the TE as I dive for the ball.. they win 34-27 as the clock expires. I just sat there with the controller in my hands and a blank look at the screen. Nothing feels scripted in this game.. I blew it many times over. Next up is #5 Georgia.. oh boy. |

If I wanted to get back into NCAA Football (on PS3), are there features or whatever that really make 14 a lot better than 13 or 12, etc? Honestly the last time I played NCAA was 04 on the GameCube and I loved the part about creating your own school and having to recruit yearly. Gave my team a different feel year-to-year. Last Madden I played was 08 on the Wii... so I've been away from EA football games for awhile.
The reason I ask is that (as you may all know) older sports games go for dirt cheap, so if I can go and buy 13 or 12 for more than half the price of 14... why not. |

well 14 will be the last for ps3, since theres ps4 coming out.
so, buy the ncaa 12 or 13 for cheap as hell and be happy. I mean, its at least an 8-9 year update for ya. 10 bucks, maybe less.

I don't know about pass interference, but I've been playing with RK at 0, and I'm noticing a lot more near-blocked kicks. I've still never seen a block, but they've been closer than I've seen them before adjusting it.

Having the PI set at 0 made the defenders and receivers more aggressive going for the ball as there was basically no risk of a penalty. The version you posted was version 1, the second version below provides better animations and boosting the PC to 100 makes up for leaving PI at 50. Quote:

I've heard the talk, too, but I think it's further away than people realize. EA would be out of their minds if they put any work towards the title without having finalization of all the court cases. Only after the cases are resolved would they attempt to restart the studio. I think all the talk about having a release next year (and possibly the year after) is wishful thinking.

I don't think they can - the past games were for PS3 and the 360. It's not as simple as putting on a fresh layer of paint.
