Coastal Carolina gets to be the only college football game on TV tonight on ESPN. They will be allowed to have 5000 fans there

It won't reach that point until they have to start rescheduling or just cancelling SEC games.

We'll see if TV demands are going to override testing protocols. Apparently the Baylor/Houston game is off mainly due to contact tracing issues, not that anyone on Baylor has actually tested positive. So when you see this...

Coastal was never threatened too seriously here lead 21-9 at the half, and won 43-21. Woot!

B1G schedule is out. And I love Iowas. It looks like it will come down to Wisconsin visiting Iowa to see who wins the West.

And the B1G keeps crapping on Nebraska. Their first 4 games are at tOSU, Wisconsin, at NW, and Penn State. They could go 1-7 this year. HAHAHAHA.

So Navy has a player named Fagot.

It almost seems like a potential trap to get an announcer fired if they don't pronounce the name properly.

Blame the SEC. the ACC decided to have one non conference game so in state rivalries like USC - Clemson and GT - UGA could be played. Then the SEC went conference only.

Nope. It makes way more sense to schedule an additional conference game in this situation. They'd be playing teams with similar testing capabilities if nothing else.

ACC is playing 11 games (10 conference) vs SEC 10.

The CBA just seems completely against scheduling this type of game since I can't see any benefit at all.

Sorry, cost benefit analysis. I'm assuming each game carries risk of exposure given the additional personnel required. Makes you wonder how often chain gangs, refs, and everyone else on the sidelines are tested. I've seen photographers on the sideline still, that surprised me.

Pretty well written / readable piece on the pickle that Southern Miss finds themselves in.

Every announcers nightmare. And there's always at least one on the roster that you see and think "uh oh ..."

So much for the Sun Belt rise to power-both top 25 teams lost this week to not Big-12 teams. I would laugh if Coastal now got some votes after going 2-0.

They open Sun Belt play next week at home against Arkansas State.

Edit: I was wrong about this-one came back and won in overtime against Ga Southern.

GA vs AR next week, line is 24.5 which sounds generous to me.

It'll be painful but looking forward to seeing what Sam Pittman has done so far.

Probably hard to make the line higher than that given the QB uncertainty in Athens.

Yeah, looks like D'Wan Mathis is going to start, which is a shock. They do seem to be really impressed with him, though.

Auburn - Kentucky has been fun so far. The refs totally robbed Kentucky of a touchdown at the end of the half, or this would be a different game.

Possibly too early take on Collins / GT taken from online but I agree with:

Maybe he’ll turn things around with enough time, but I haven’t seen anything from him that makes me think he will. Sure he can recruit, but we’ve been so undisciplined and unprepared with him, with stupid mistakes all over the place.

Good thing for him he’s still got 5 more years on his contract.

Other than maybe NC St I don’t see another win on the schedule.

That Region's commercial is really sweet with that poor mentally challenged girl with all the Gator stuff and her dad with the UGA stuff that still loves her.

With the exception of Brent Key, the staff choices are what already destroyed my inclination toward any hope. I'm not a fan of a of coterie 3rd and 4th tier coaches when trying to build a P5 program. You might develop one or two at a time, but when it's 90% of the staff, how much development is really going to occur?

Hopefully this is the start of a trend today and KU can go down to Waco and stun Baylor
