Sure. Give him a timeout as he falls and loses the ball.

Looks like /the/ OSU will be moving on. Wouldn't want to confuse them with another OSU that lost today.

Im worried about Grand Canyon. They are big. Garza can struggle against big guys. And if he only gets 16 and Bohannon and Weiskamp are off, We will lose.

Well that's the thing. They're the only team that beat Michigan for example prior to Michigan going on their COVID hiatus. By that logic you'd be left questioning anybody aside from Illinois, and then you'd go back to the BIG title game and be like 'yeah, don't trust them either'.

You could question anybody but Gonzaga in that way, and the last time an undefeated team went into the tournament, Kentucky lost in the Final Four.

A flying start to my bracket on day 1, 10-1 (only missing tOSU, like everybody else).

Naturally North Texas and I'm sure a host of others are gonna come along and wreck me by the time the night is over

Iowa has 3 in the finals and 2nd place PSU can top out at 124.5. Iowa has 109. and 4 in the medal round.

If the BB team loses Im still extremely excited. Iowa is a wrestling school after all.

It's hilarious to me that Buddy Boheim was born my senior year at Syracuse, when Jim Boheim was already an old man. Now he's old enough to drink and is also the team's best player

I believe Rutgers really tried to lose that game. But, thankfully, so did Clemson. Does Pikeill seriously have no plays? Most of the second half was basically: Iso and shoot threes that almost never hit.

Is it really more unpredictable than other sports though? The Clippers started this year by winning road games against the Lakers and Nuggets and then coming home to lose by 51 to the Mavs. In my opinion NBA basketball is the most unpredictable sport(regular season).

In baseball we will see random situations where the best pitcher in the league will get shelled by one of the worst teams.

In the NFL every week see head shaking upsets.

I do think the 3 point line does create more variance and the teams that arent afraid to launch 3s against better teams(Oral Roberts) will create more situations where they are in positions to upset larger schools.

I would say baseball is more unpredictable than the NBA. I don't think there's any difference in teams in the NBA that is remotely comparable to Illinois-Oral Roberts.. It's orders of magnitudes larger. Great for them on winning their first tournament game in half a century, not at all saying it's a bad thing they won, but the gap just isn't the same.

Maybe not, however that point guard from Oral Roberts could easily start on a top tier B1G team. Motivation and momentum I am sure played a large part as well. Ohio State probably wasnt prepared to play their best game after a long week last week and maybe overlooked Oral Roberts. Once OR got the momentum, Ohio St just couldnt get it turned back around.

I bet $100 on them at 70-1 a couple weeks ago to win the tournament. Bracket opened up beautifully for them with tOSU and Perdue going down. If they get to the elite 8 I can guarantee a profit.

FYI. On a tourny like this futures are wasted money. Just take the ML for 6 straight games letting that 100 ride and you will come out way better than 70-1.

Damn, you shoulda asked me

That team showed a lot of ... mental/emotional instability for weeks leading up to the tournament. They were too ... fragile, that's why I had them as one of the easiest 1st round outs of the whole tournament.

Oddly, it was the older players rather than the younger ones who seemed to have the most problems adjusting as the team evolved.

I am looking to be in a spot I can hedge. Doing a roll over parlay doesn't allow that.

GTown isn't playing well, but even if they were it's hard to compete with a team making threes like this.

This Eastern Washington team is the most Eastern Washington looking group I could imagine.

Tanner Groves looks like the guy that shows up to the YMCA in flannel, warms up for 5 minutes, then kicks your ass up and down the court.

If they weren't playing aganst KU, I'd be rooting for Eastern Washington. A pair of brothers: one who looks like a lumberjack and the other Napoleon Dynamite. They need an undersized overskilled PG to complete the March fun story trifecta.

Yeah, that would imply I spend more than 2 minutes on a bracket.

Never been a huge college basketball guy, we do a freebie bracket for bragging rights at work every year, so not like I lost anything.

First COVID cancellation. VCU has to forfeit.

We got our first no contest.

Oregon vs. VCU has been declared a no-contest due to COVID protocols with VCU, per the NCAA. Oregon advances to the second round.
