Recruiting results are up on the site. Wow. Didn't think I was gonna pull it out with Elton Burke...

... and I didn't. Congrats, CU. You definitely outmaneuvered me with Burke during the season. I had too many other guys to worry about for me to allot many points to him, so I put just enough on him so that if you didn't put any on him, I would edge you out.

I did manage to fill some other positions of need on signing day, so this class wasn't a total disaster for us.

Before deciding to give up on Burke, I did this little comparison. Decided I liked him, but he wasn't worth going all-in on since I still have Danny Clark in the fold. Burke's strength rating worried me a bit. Will be interested to see how he does for you.

I'll leave recruiting results up until later this afternoon or this evening.

In retrospect, I probably should have gone after that DT. Oh well. I also lost out on the LB that I wanted at the end by trying to split between two guys. Oh well. We still got a lot of talent that will be key for us.

I went into recruiting with 2 major needs.
I had nno HB with speed above 80 on the team and no back up plan at QB.

I zero'd in on Burke early but knew I had my work cut out for me. Was scared he would commit on your visit. I took him to the offseason and dumped 15,000. It cost me my back up/future stud QB/ATH Chad Johnson...who I lost despite a 3,500 point lead. But at lest we will have a half back next year.

All set with position changes. It is going to be real hard to keep Blalock on the bench this year, but Will Simmons is going to be the guy for a couple years.. So Blalock will get in where he fits in. Probably will see some time on special teams and in the secondary while he waits his chance.. I think he will play sparingly this year, redshirt next year, then we'll unleash him. By then he ought to be ready to go nuts. It'll be incredibly hard to wait that long.

I can see that we will end up cutting a lot of talented guys this year that will probably wish they had gone to a smaller school.

I think we're in good shape, the back end is full of veterans. Hopefully they can cover guys. I think the offense will be better this year, Will Simmons is a well rounded guy with a good arm and we have good speed and power options at RB.

Had to let my best OVR player go..a 99 RS SR K...but we just signed an 80 Fr..and the Sr was my only player from Alaska so it didnt hurt the pipeline as much.

USC did our cuts last night... very hard to cut a few guys as I had to lose a pipeline state... I had a choice between losing Louisiana or Illinois. I chose to cut Illinois loose.
