Although at a different level, this is the same problem happening on BF4. They promised 64 player battles. The lobbies for 64 player battles were regularly littered with 12-16 players in each lobby rather than the matchmaking services properly combining the games into the large battles that were promised. VERY frustrating. |

Agree, this game is absolutely fantastic and the fact that this was produced by a one man team makes it all the more impressive. The game has been glitch free so far and the gameplay is simple, but addicting. The only thing I'm not real crazy about is how the trading system works, but I wouldn't be surprised if that gets modified in an update.

Does anybody have any experience with the developer SpiderWeb? They make RPGs such as Geneforge, Avadon, and Avernum. I have Avernum: Escape from the Pit and I had some fun with it a few years back. Put about 30 hours into it. I saw that Avadon 2: The Corruption is on sale for $2 and some change on steam and was wondering if anybody has any experience with the Avadon series.

If you liked Avernum you'll like Avadon. They are very similar games.
I've had a lot of fun with Avadon 2, although I am at a spot that I can't get past.

Avadon and Avernum are great games. You will get plenty of hours of game time. Which reminds me I should finish them. To much in my back load.

Was watching a friend play Plague, Inc last night. Early access Steam game. Looks rather amusing, though he says its a bit overpriced ($15) for what it is.

I've been playing Hexcells over the last few days and it's right up with SpaceChem for my favorite puzzle games. I finished the first game in about 2 or 3 hours and I'm about 8 hours into Hexcells Plus with about half of that time being spent on the last 6 or so picked with 3 that I still need to finish.

I'm also about 40 hours in to Bravely Default and pretty much everything I'd want in a Final Fantasy game. I have done quite a bit of grinding but the game definitely makes grinding easier than any other JRPG I've played.

Anyone getting Earth Defense Force 2025? Sounds like it's a better version of 2017 which is great.

Finished Hexcells Plus last night, anyone who likes puzzle games should pick both games up, you can get both games for $5 on Steam.. Also got my key for the Berlin campaign of Shadowrun Returns so I'm going to try to finish Bravely Default before it comes out on Thursday. After that I think it will finally be time for me to pick up Banished.

I'm interested in it, but I think I'm going to wait to see if it comes to PC and if it doesn't I'll end up picking it up on PS3 down the road. Last edited by mckerney : 02-23-2014 at 09:20 AM. |

I think the Xbox One version is going to run in CGA, while the PS4 version is the first 4K game to come out.

Sounds like you were missing a piece in your Xbox One box. Mine came with that one. edit: in all seriousness, if you want to run the old video game systems from the 70s and 80s on modern TVs, you have to pick up a RF demodulator. They usually output composite audio/video (red/white and yellow).

More bad news for XboxNone. Although it will play the original Pong, it has to upscale from 720p to 1080i and runs at 30ish fps. Not the glorious native 1080p that PS4 runs it in.

How many more times is this going to happen? Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare servers are down. Rather than using the Azure servers as they should have done, they decided that the game should run on EA/Origin servers. I'm sure some people will try to stick this on MS just because it's a timed exclusive, but this is all EA. First SimCity, then BF4, now PVZ: GW.
Respawn has to be thanking its lucky stars that their game is on the Azure servers. Last edited by Mizzou B-ball fan : 02-25-2014 at 10:42 PM. |

Friend of mine got me the friend invite for the Elder Scrolls Beta. He took the day off (nice to be the head of his own law firm I guess) and has been texting me about it all afternoon. This last hour of work is going slow....
