I see a lot of similarities with the Saints last year. You aren't tanking. But you are realistic. You are not going to win a lot of games. You use this year to eat dead cap and see what the young guys have. It's basically a season-long shakeout voyage to figure out where to put resources starting in 2027. |

Of course, it is the Browns, so the Universe would never make it that easy. What'll happen is that Watson will start and play at an MVP level for 6 weeks and then get a season-ending injury, confusing the heck out of any future planning. I'd look for a couple of guys that you might be able to flip at the deadline for mid-round picks. Van Noy or Jordan would be good possibilities.
Their top 51 cap is better than I realized now. They should look at extending Ward and/or Delpit.
