I only played single player. The AI is pretty tough.

Personally, I wouldn't pay anywhere near what they're asking for it. I think it's about a $10 game.

Oh, and Eador: Genesis is on sale at GOG this weekend for a whopping $3. Anyone who doesn't get it at that price is a fool.

I had a blast with Frozen Synapse. It's a solid single player game and tough like Blackadar said. My MP record leaves something to be desired but it was still pretty fun. A lot of us around here have it. I gave our a bunch of keys a couple years ago and I know a lot of guys on the FOFC Steam page own it as well.

I think the game still comes with 2 keys so you can give a copy away to someone to play against or go in with someone. It does go on sale from time to time as well, and it always comes with 2 keys.

It's a pretty good but not quite great RPG. Its strength is its combat system and is best played with a game pad. The story isn't anything special, and at times the question really shows it was made by a team put together to make an MMO. Ignoring sidequests might be a good idea and I've read the combat gets too easy late in the game if you power level early on.

I give credit to Amalur for being the least immersive game I've ever played. On the other hand, I can't really call it a bad game...it's just like, forcefully boring. I can't play it for more than a half-hour at a time, no matter how hard I try. It shoves so much crap at you, every second of the game, but makes it so easy to process, that I don't end up giving a flying shit about any of it. 80% of my time in that game seems to be spent clicking through various prompts (conversation, lore, harvesting, crafting), as fast as I can, without processing any of it.

I considered getting it at that price, but I think I'll wait for Dark Arisen which is the new version of Dragon's Dogma coming out with an expansion that you can only get through buying it as a full game (no DLC for some reason).

At least Steam has a the feature that tells me "you already have everything in this package," so I don't waste even more of my money. Imagine if it didn't!

Yep, some of the best story telling in a game with well done combat. I was really glad to hear Supergiant sold 1.7 million copies in Total Biscuit's video in their next game Transistor, great to see it was a success for them.

THQ is going to get as much money as they can out of their games before they close the doors. I already have all of these, but it's a pretty awesome deal.

I'm pretty sure their doors are already closed and they're trying to get their creditors as much as they can.

Agree that it's a good deal.

This would mean a lot more if they hadn't already done a Humble Bundle rather recently.

Correct.

I'd heard that the console versions of the game were semi-buggy, though.

Here is my Darksiders key to anyone that wants it:
M9I5C-4XHGJ-D3CKE

I already own this game, so don't need the one from this bundle.

If there is anyone that doesn't have Europa Universalis 3 yet and think you might have some small minute chance that you want to try it out....

Gamefly is giving it away free until the 11th (or while supplies last)

http://www.gamefly.com/Download-Euro...icles/5000728/

You will need a Gamefly account to download it though and this won't activate in steam.. two catches that may turn off people, but figured I would post it for those interested.

Thanks for the heads up. I was able to snag a copy yesterday morning. It was back up to $20 by last evening.

Hey guys -

Drifter, who successfully funded their kickstarter - Drifter: A Space Trading Game by Celsius Game Studios — Kickstarter

just finished with their beta for kickstarter backers and the developer (who did Red Nova for iOS) has opened up pre-orders to "slacker backers" to back now, get the game upon completion, and play the beta now. $10

Celsius Game Studios - Pre-Order Drifter

Open-world, procedurally-generated space trading game.

I backed Limit Theory, which was similar, but for $10 I'm thinking I can't not pick this one up.

If you haven't played Telltale's The Walking Dead now is a perfect time to pick it up, the beat the average amount for it is currently under $4.

The Puzzle Agent games are favorites of mine as well.

I really liked LA Noire (I haven't played Max Payne). I think I bought LAN by itself for $10 on a Steam sale at one time. It definitely has that Rockstar vibe, but I really liked the atmosphere. So count me as not trying to talk you out of it

Max Payne is awesome. I beat it on the PC and xbox. Never quite finished the 2nd one though.

I've been waiting to see what they would do to progress the LA Noire idea. For a first pass, I thought the game was stellar. It did devolve into repetition, but it did show a lot of promise with what they could do in the future.

Not sure if it was clearly understood, but it was for MP 3 which I think has generally received less favorable reviews compared to 1 or 2. Regardless, I bought in. Just chucking it in the pile with all the other games I've not gotten around to but will someday.

Steam has Morrowind Game of the Year edition on sale for the next ten hours for $6.79, two thirds off the normal price. It's an old game now but definitely very good, and there are quite a few mods for the game still around.
