An early interception return for 6 gave us an early boost in this one, and we made some mistakes of our own, but we were able to play the clock to our advantage and maximize our possessions and come out with a win in a game of "who has the ball last". The second half was just answer for answer all the way it felt like, both teams slugging their way to TD's by hook or by crook and we were just lucky to get the good side of the clock in the end. That was a 50/50 game all the way.

GG Kodos, Until we meet again.

I'm worried about players leaving us next year, Both our QB's could take off, among other high profile key pieces of this team.

Man. On that one touchdown pass to Thorne in the fourth quarter with my guy just about to smash your QB as he threw it... I thought I had the interception. I really did. I thought the interception animation was kicking in. But then it didn't. Good game, bud. I'll let you do the rundown. Congratulations, Julio. The quest for a title continues in Indiana... So disappointing.

Unfortunately, finals and my final project are taking longer than I thought they would. I probably won't get my game in until Monday. I can't wait to beat them!

We curb stomped Texas yesterday (I was home sick, was able to squeeze in a game).

I finished up my final early tonight and treated myself with my game when I got home. We played poorly on both sides of the ball but escaped with a 49-35 win over VT. I need to figure out my defense for next season. This team seriously underperformed our talent on that side of the ball.

Arrow Transfer Requests

UTSA has the only transfer request, a 71 OVR LG. I figure he could use one since he just lost a guard. It's already marked to accept the transfer, so I'm moving on to the next stage.

REESE, YOU ASSHOLE. You were going to start for 4 freakin' years, all I wanted you to do was sit for one. Rot in oblivion.

Edit: Starting next season, I want Memphis on my schedule until Reese graduates. I'm gonna make him watch his backups run all over them.

Also, whats up with the final rankings? Haha.. Does that mean I don't win the national championship? What if that happened in real life? People would lose their minds.

FWIW, in my records, I put you first, and us second. I wonder if it gave me credit for the championship in game?

I looked at my coach in Coach Info, and it correctly shows us as making two BCS championship games, but with zero wins in that game. So I think it correctly awarded the win to Julio. Maybe he should check though.

I'm not really worried with who actually gets crowned number 1, I think the championship game win is enough to say I "won the championship" in the most literal sense. It makes for some awfully juicy imagined ESPN/TMZ Sports headlines and chatter. In my head, the people in this imagined world are going crazy arguing in forums about the implications of the vote to keep Indiana number one, even after they lost. Skip Bayless is completely off the rails about it.

All set.

Had to turn away 2 skill guys I could have won because of a few bone head moves we are woefully short on D and had to secure a few guys.

So 7500 each to 2 targets and we are done.

Post 2021 Recruiting Results

Our recruiting pitch of "Come barely miss a championship at Indiana!" really paid some nice dividends this year out on the recruiting trail.

USC is done. We are a young team that is going to need to mature a lot to compete for a national championship this year.

We did a great job of reloading our defensive line. In a year or two, they should be very nasty. Our O-Line is going to be my biggest concern this year unless I get some great growth during the offseason. Depth on OL is a very big concern.

Ready to go here.
Lots of roster management decisions because of our poor recruiting choices.

Recruiting will be critical next year

Over the last 2 years Ive really transformed WR recruiting as CB recruiting. We are stacked for a while there. I like to carry 8 WR and I have 9. The 4 highest rated are Fr or So thats positive.

I have a stud So QB but no capable back up behind him. Not good.
5 RBs but none of them wow you. All solid none spectacular. Not good.

Legit 3 deep at every OL position. Fine.
Let DE/DL recruiting fall off. Ive got good front line starters but no depth. Need help here.

All set in San Antonio. We'll be looking for OL this season, for sure. I don't know why I have skimped so much on recruiting those positions, but its gonna be a lean year for us there. Good thing our defense looks as good as it ever has.

My ATH rated out as a 73 QB which would put him at the QB2 / QB3 spot ahead of my Soph and SR that have been with me for a while.

I had to move a WR over to SS due to depth and then rotate some DE's to OLB and such.

My defense is stronger, especially in the Front 7, but not as strong in the secondary yet.

If I had to make any more cuts, I would have had to pull some hair out. Luckily I was able to find 5 players I didn't see having a future.

I was shocked to be 5 over the 70.

I ended up cutting my 3rd string QB who has had some GT experience because he wasn't a dual threat.
