I am beginning to question my move to Macclesfield less and less by the day. I have been able to get the team's attitude starting to swing to the positive and the players have responded. If our key players don't get injured I could see this team dominating this league as our core group outclasses the majority of the league. Eccleston hasn't even gotten on the board yet, but his presense has opened up space for others and he has set up others quite well.

We enjoy the time off to be able to get players recovered from the rough schedule that we had. We are home to play Worcester in a league match. I led them very briefly before moving to Hampton & Richmond. I would enjoy giving them a beatdown but a win would be my priority so I won't do anything crazy.

Several bright points, the biggest being the return of McLoughlin. Also some of the other nagging injuries have healed. We will be without Samuels as he is suspended for a game for his 5th yellow card.

We are on the road for a big league match at 2nd place Workington. Match congestion is a big problem recently and I hope to keep everyone as fresh and focused as possible. Conditions won't be favorable as it will be cold and sleeting.

As we continue our insane stretch (I would like to have a little man to man "discussion" with the schedule maker) with a home match against 17th place Hinckley. They upset us on their pitch, it's time for a payback.

GK - Jonny Brain
DL - Steven Leslie
DC - Luke Oliver
DC - Shaun Brisley
DR - John Dempster
ML - Danny Thomas
MC - Richard Butcher
MC - Patrick McLoughlin
MR - Tony Rigby
ST - Nathan Eccleston
ST - Gareth Evans

Subs - Scott Beckett, Adam Roberts, Michael Thomas, Francis Green, Dwayne Samuels

- Green needs 3 more goals to reach 50 career league goals with Macclesfield

1st half
- In the 40th minute Thomas took a crner from the left wing and swung i into the box, Evans heads it past the keeper... GOOOOOOOAAAALLLL!!!! We take a 1-0 lead, finally (we have been dominating but had nothing but a crossbar, 2 posts an several shots just wide to show for it)
- We go into the half up 1-0

2nd half
- In the 62nd minute the exhaustion set in and we had a defensive lapse that allowed a low cross into the box to be headed past Brain by striker Jamie Naylor to level the match at 1-1
- Samuels and Beckett in for Butcher and Rigby in the 62nd minute
- Roberts in for Leslie in the 87th minute
- We are unable to get the winner and the match ends 1-1; We outshot them 14-4 and 7-1 on target but we could not win, very poor performance

- Midfielder Neil Cartwright is named man of the match

More match congestion as we are on the road against rival Northwich. A verbal battle was started by their coach so I have fired back and tried to get the team fired up for this one. I am going to pull them back, however, and let them play defensively to start the match, wth a focus on counter-attack.

On another note I have signed defender Jimmy Eagle as a free transfer from Boston United. He was very unhappy and conflicting with management on that team. He played well enough for me when we had him on loan and I wanted to give him a chance.

GK - Jonny Brain
DL - Steven Leslie
DC - Luke Oliver
DC - Shaun Brisley
DR - John Dempster
ML - Paul Murphy
MC - Dwayne Samuels
MC - Patrick McLoughlin
MR - Tony Rigby
ST - Nathan Eccleston
ST - Gareth Evans

Subs - Scott Beckett, Jimmy Eagle, Danny Thomas, Francis Green, Michael Thomas

- McLoughlin is making his 25th career league appearance
- Eccleston is making his 25th career league appearance
- Green needs 3 goals to reach 50 career league goals for Macclesfield

1st half
- In the 13th minute Dempster launched what was most likely a long cross into the box from about 45 yards out on the right wing and it curled into the upper left corner of the goal... GOOOOAAAALLLL!!!! We are up 1-0 on the fluke!
- We go to the half up 1-0

2nd half
- In the 50th minute Dempster sent Rigby running down the right wing into the corner, he crossed into the box where Eccleston headed the ball past the keeper... GOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAALLLL!!!! We take a 2-0 lead!
- Eagle in for an injured Oliver and Thomas on for a tired Murphy in the 62nd minute
- Green on for Evans (yellow) in the 75th minute
- In the 83rd minute Samuels sends a ball forwad diagonally from teh left wing into the box to find McLoughlin who has space and fires past the keeper... GOOOOOOOAAAALLLL!!! We are up 3-0!!! The counter-attack has been eating them up
- The match ends 3-0, a well played match by the team

- John Dempster is named man of the match

We face Burscough on our home pitch. We were embarrassed with a 2-0 defeat against them on the road. We need to show our fans that we are MUCH better than that. I am not looking for a 1-0 victory here, I want at least a 3 goal margin. We do have a problem, both Oliver and Dempster are suspended for receiving their 5th yellow card.

GK - Jonny Brain
DL - Steven Leslie
DC - Jimmy Eagle
DC - Shaun Brisley
DR - Jimmy Williams
ML - Danny Thomas
MC - Richard Butcher
MC - Dwayne Samuels
MR - Tony Rigby
ST - Nathan Eccleston
ST - Gareth Evans

Subs - Ryan Moss, Michael Thomas, Patrick McLoughlin, Paul Murphy, Adam Roberts

- Brain is making his 250th career league appearance
- Brisley is making his 125th career league appearance
- Murphy will be making his 75th career league appearance if brought on

1st half
- In the 27th minute Eccleston angles a lob into the left corner to Thomas who crossed into the box where Samuels directs it past the keeper... GOOOOOOAAAALLLL!!!! We take a 1-0 lead
- We go to the half up 1-0

2nd half
- In the 65th minute a long ball just short of their box was raced for, Eccleston picked the pocket of the defender and fired a sho just inside the right post... GOOOOOOOOAAAALLLL!!!! We are up 2-0!
- Michael Thomas in for Eagle (yellow) in the 66th minute
- Murphy and McLoughlin in for Rigby and Butcher in the 78th minute
- In the 83rd minute Thomas sent a corner fromt eh left wing into the box where Evans heads it into the net... GOOOOOOOAAAALLLL!!!! We are up 3-0!!!
- We win the match 3-0; it's a pleasure to watch this team when they stick with the plan and don;t get over-condifent. The biggest problem has been that they win a few and then lose focus.

- Dwayne Samuels is named man of the match

This will continue as a part time dynasty. My primary focus is on the NFL World Cup dynasty and I have recently finally picked up FM 2010, and going back to WSM 2009 is not an easy choice. Debating about continuing this or starting one with FM 2010. May keep this as a part time dynasty, maybe speeding it up a bit instead of doing game by game write ups.
