jeheinz says he'll move, so we move to CR but no movement by jeheinz, only a check to see that I still lose the tie breaker.

Yeah, that was me trying to do something with an ability I have no experience with. I really had no idea...and made the wrong play. And I am still surprised there were 3 wolves. Sorry EF

FTR, I actually refreshed with the idea of actually moving, for kicks, but when I hit refresh I gave up on it since you switched back No way I would've done it with enough time for you to switch back. That would've been dumb of me even if I was a villager. |

Actually, it was probably the correct play, just wrong side. If you had hit it, you'd be put in the COT for tomorrow's vote and help ease that decision. |

Glad to see the two that I had pretty much cleared in my mind (Danny and PF) were actually villagers.

thanks for running the game Clap.
Hard to comment on the balance, any game where the BG and seer are gone day 1 is gonna be tough for the villagers to win. I think the deadline made it hard for alot of people to be active near the deadline |

We felt pretty confident about today.
We had PF pinned as the duke since he voted with us to create a tie and he didn't much care. |

yeah. I can't believe that day 1 move actualy worked. I had EF pinned as a vanilla villager so I figured why not take a shot at JAckal. Lucky for us it worked. Then the night we killed Render he scanned me, so if we don't kill him I am outed. |

So I was right about your day one strategy. At least I feel a little better about my villager role now that I know I was close to what was going on. I think I made too many waves for my own good though. |

My timing was just a bit off. I thought I had waited long enough to post the switch but I just missed, giving Lathum enough time to switch back. If this had worked, and I wasn't night killed, I was definitely going after Lathum next. |

I maintain that frequently the best duke move is to Duke Day 1. Day 1 generally results in senseless death, but at least this way you get the start of a CoT out there with hopefully the seer and BG still in play, and more inviting targets.

That sucks, though good to see I voted a wolf with every one of my votes though. I really thought there was only one wolf left, but if there was two I figured it was Jeheinz/Lathum

The only caveat I would say to that is don't announce that you are doing it. Suprise everyone with it, so at least you have some vote history at some point from day 1 (even if you don't get it necessarily for the next day) |

Too bad it didn't work out for us. Glad I was right about heinze.
Interesting play by Lathum on Day One to be "too obvious" to be a wolf. Good move. Worked on me. I do think this one was pretty stacked against the villagers. That's not to say we couldn't win, as there were definitely things we could have done better, but I have laways been a proponent of 5:1 or so for villagers to wolves. So we would need to have more than 12 players to get a third wolf. But I still had a good time, and I am glad Hannibal ran it. Incidentally, PF, in case you're wondering what my hunch on you was, you checked in with I R Villegar. That right away told me you were a villager, because I got the same sort of message (UR Villegar). It was more the Catz-ish "I R" then the mispelling of Villegar.

ugh, I hate that sort of stuff. Just a heads up to HL and any other GM's, it is always a good idea to send an extremly generic villager PM or better yet post in the game thread what the villager PM says. We have had games ruined in the past because of all the villagers getting the same exact PM and the wolves NOT getting that PM< so when they all "checked in" it became obvious quickly. |

Haha - that is pretty funny, CR. Since I wasn't vanilla, I received a different PM than that - and hadn't even thought of that when I posted. Glad to know I can subconsciously clear myself in your mind though

And that's why I was down to kill hoops right away. Seemed like a hoops-ish thing to post the villegar thing that he saw in the first PM, then have a role in the 2nd one.

RendeR, I remember what I wanted to ask. Who did you scan night one? I couldn't find any clues to who that might have been.

Guessing that with no D1 vote there was no scan order. If there was a hint in there I missed it when reading through posts.
