New Humble Indie Bundle with an excellent selection of platformers, plus an amazing co-op game in Monaco and Antichamber which I still need to get around to playing.

State of Decay is $9.99 on Steam until tomorrow.

I had wishlisted it awhile back to see when it went on sale. Has anyone played it - is it worth $10?

I got way more than $10 worth of time from State of Decay. It's well done, the story stops the repetition of constant scavanging getting too much. It's also been patched a few times since I was playing, so hopefully it's improving. When I was messing about with it it was fun but clunky.

Did Space Empires V ever get patched to a decent game? It's at $4 on Steam right now (which is a price where I'd usually say eff it and buy it anyway but figured I'd get the wisdom of FOFC first)

Good.

I think I'd enjoy a SP game more than a Day Z style zombie game, because I tend to have game-ADD (play for 20 minutes, stop for 10, etc)

Not quite sure which thread to put this on. If you are a regular user of GOG.com you may have noticed they were going to implement "regional pricing" for some games. As one of its core values when the company first started out they claimed they would never do such a thing-that prices would be the same worldwide.

As you can imagine this announcement did not fare well with its customers, and they let GOG know it on their forums. Finally GOG admitted it was a mistake to go that route, and formally apologized and then announced they will now "eat" any difference in price between what a company wants them to charge for their game, and the retail price GOG sets for it-which will be at the US retail price worldwide.

Banner Saga 33% off on Steam. Still waiting for it to go cheaper though. Metacritic still has it at 80, so that's good enough for me.

Considering it was released this year, this will probably be the best deal until a summer sale when it might be 4-5 bucks cheaper.

Personally, I find it much easier to take a shot on several 10-25 dollar games than picking up one for fifty or sixty bucks that I hate in hours.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is also $4.99. Yes, it is short(3 hours) and requires a controller, but the Total Biscuit also named it his game of the year. Think of it as going to a long cheap movie.

+1 from me. Brothers was one of my top 5 games of last year, along with Tomb Raider which is also in the BAFTA sale right now.

GOG is having a massive 90% off sale on limited titles if you pick 5 games from a list. In addition for $2 bucks a try you can get additional titles that aren't on the list (apparently at random.) These are all newer games - Alan Wake, Spelunky, Reus,. Book of Unwritten Tales, Avadon, Deponia, etc.)

I was just playing it for the first time right before I finished and saw this post. Fun stuff a new race, new weapons, new ship systems (cloning bay, hacking, maybe more) new quests and more new random stuff happening at each waypoint.

TotalBiscuit is a big fan of FTL and he just posted a new vid detailing FTL: Captain's Edition. A collection of mods for FTL that looks like it adds a lot to the game. Haven't tried it yet and not sure how you add the mod to your game, but figured some of my fellow FTL finatics might want to have a look:

FTL Captain's Edition - Rockin' Mods - YouTube

It is compatible with the newly arrived Advanced Edition.

Crazy good trade-in deal if you have a Target in your area. Enter your game on the website and you will receive 3X that price. For example, Battlefield 4 is just over $17 regularly. You get $51 credit this week only.

I can confirm this is legit. Just traded in Assassin's Creed 4 for PS4 and got $51 for it. Didn't turn in Fifa 14 for PS4 though because I would've only gotten $12 for it.

Also, it's limited to 3 games.

Target deal is just ridiculous. I got three games on PS4 launch for $120 through the Buy 2, Get 1 Free deal that Target offered. I just sold back those three games to Target for $126 in store credit. I had to laugh when the guy told me how much I was getting back.

I got $46 for an old racing game and a Spider-Man PS3 game I wasn't ever going to play. Allowed me to pick up FIFA and Call of Duty: Ghosts for basically $20, and trade the Ghosts for inFamous.

It was a pain in the ass doing it since one Target, the mobile rep wasn't there and the other the systems were down, but my fledgling PS4 library is up to 3 titles now.
