I dont trust Dubb... but if he is a wolf, hes doing a great job in hiding right out in the open, which is REAL hard. that being said.... im not sure its a bad strategy, IF the seer is bad. But we dont know that, and we wont know if the seer is killed if he IS bad.

dubb: Not sure who I plan on voting for today.
DT: I don't trust dubb, but do agree with his scenario independently of him (or at least I think I do). I agree roles in terms of players were likely distributed via random.org and were the players. But I do think it more likely that pass would have distributed the roles to the cities, the players to the cities, and then the roles to the players. You're suggesting he distributed the roles to the players and then the players to the cities. Considering we already know some roles are present in both cities, I see no reason to believe that he didn't decide on what roles were in each city first for all roles. |

I have a bunch of work to do today courtesy of the holiday yesterday and stuff that was already scheduled for today.
That being said - I'm not sure why dubb is all over me like white on rice. And I have no idea how he thinks I'm the evil seer unless he's the good seer? Which would seem to invalidate his whole "scenario." I may actually lean towards voting him, because I think his "off-the-wall ping-pong-ball" style of play is preventing us from entering into deeper analysis on anything and focusing. Not 100% sure that he's a wolf, but it wouldn't surprise me if he was the wolf, or the sympathizer-role. |

aaah - saldana - was just looking over the list of people still in Sparta wondering who might be a wolf. How timely of you to appear just as I was trying to wrap my mind around what I thought of you.

i also find it curious that dubb seems to be primarily advancing the idea that because we had the good marathon runner that we certainly have the evil seer. almost like he's trying to set it up to discredit whatever info our seer reveals eventually.
i'm not sure I buy him as a wolf hiding out in the open 100%, but it's certainly a possibility

Frankly, I don't think dubb is a wolf. He might likely be the Evil Historian (which would mean he's playing it correctly) but I don't think he's a wolf.
Either way we all fall on the how-roles-were-distributed-idea, I don't think it much matters. We have wolves here. We need to lynch a wolf. Let's worry about that and if they're the Seer Wolf or the Hoplite Wolf or a fucking Pancake Wolf for chrissakes, I'll be happy. |

Actually he's saying that PB is the bad runner. Or at least I hope to shit he is still saying that, because if not I'll vote for him right now and not look back given how he was so certain yesterady. But I'm somewhat sure you're just mixed up there DT. Sparing that though, I'll look elsewhere from dubb for my vote. IMO, he's at best the Evil Historian. Worst case a gun-slingin' villager who just wants to sacrifice the village game here, try and get as much info as possible, and aim to take Athens & Hades (which may not be a terrible ploy truth be told). |

in fact
errr - because we had one marathon runner and the good hoplite i should have said in my previous post We'd have to believe that dubb is either the bad historian/sympathizer (possible?) or the bad hoplite and that both hoplites started in the same city. Or that there's another wolf-role that's not laid out in the rules (he can be the bad hoplite but not the bad marathon runner cuz PB was our marathon runner). But I don't think one city would get both hoplites. So he's either the bad historian/sympathizer role or a misguided villager. but if he's the bad historian/sympathizer that means we have no seer in our city. the way i read the rules each city has one of each of the roles. that's the only way it makes sense as a game with any semblance of balance. my conclusion is that dubb is a misguided villager. Dubb - just wish you'd calm down and stop flinging around a million accusations so that we can try to get down to the business of trying to figure out who the wolf is. |

Yep!
I'm not inclined to vote for Dubb, for the reasons I laid out. Jackel is an interesting possiblity - but he's also just irritating me because he's giving me crap for my participation that i feel is unwarranted so i need to try to remove that from the equation. So wait, IF we had the bad marathon-runner then wasn't that it for us as far as wolves go? Unless there are unroled wolves? |

so then we have marathon-runner wolf and an "unroled" wolf? - just trying to get a handle on that all. would make sense we wouldn't start with one i suppose.

i am not being any more quiet than i usually am in the early stages of games, i like to sit back and watch the way other people act and react, and since Dubb is doing such a good job of stirring shit up, i didnt really feel the need to over-vocalize.
i have put my thoughts out there on the balance issue and the marathon runner issue...if you would like to hear from me on something else specific, let me know what it is. |

It seems like both accusations Dubb has had were unfounded in anything except his gut. He's striking me as confrontational but not wolfish. Definitely a slick play if he's a wolf hiding out in the open, but at this point I feel it's more likely that he's not a wolf.

sal and clap, neither of you have really done anything suspicious, but we have to have wolves somewhere, and in a game where the village has been hurting itself so far, there's every reason for wolves to stay off the radar as much as possible

i agree with you saldana on liking to sit back and see how people act/react. that's typically my M.O. for days 1+2, sometimes even 3. Not quite as much time for that in a small game though.

Agreed. And I'd contend that a wolf-in-the-open play is only beneficial really if that person could get to Hades without being known as a wolf in this game. For that to happen, he'd either have to be sent to Hades by the wolves. So I guess what I'm saying is I'll entertain the idea of dubb-as-wolf if he gets sent to Hades tonight and I eventually get there as well. |

As am I. Especially Danny since well, a vote for him is silly (since he's likely the Ephor going off the bit of discussion on that vote we had and that clap said he isn't the Ephor). BK's silence is worrisome. |
