Love seeing Chip Kelly's offense still be ran effectively. Frost is a good coach, Helfrich, was not

Michigan chokes. When does the seat start warming up on Harbaugh? 0-4 against tOSU and one decent year ruined by Iowa.

Welp, Moonie was due to get something right.

Complete collapse by Michigan in the 2nd half.

I think hes safe considering how far Michigan had fallen prior to his arrival.

Good point by GD on the number of good RBs that Georgia has. Also, the genius in Ann Arbor ran off his best QB on a grad transfer based on the hope that Patterson will be eligible. I don't think we have any Michigan fans here but one of my good friends is going insane by text. I'm saving the texts for 6 months when he starts telling me Michigan should be preseason #1. So happy they lost today.

Eligible or not, I wouldn't exactly say that Patterson makes them a top four team either. He has some maddening moments, trust me.

Nice to see the football gods punish LSU for kicking a FG from the half-foot line.

He only has 2 more wins than Hoke at this point in Michigan tenure.

I wonder if Bears, Colts, or Lions will go after him heavily this offseason.

Looking at this list of coaching salaries I am kind of having a hard time believing the head coach of Notre Dame is 64th highest paid coach in the nation. Did he have to take a pay cut to not get fired or what?

Coaching change means this could go either way.

But a very nice season indeed, no doubt about it.

I think this just means he hasn't been extended in several years while lots of other people have. Also note that chart doesn't show his potential bonuses. I think that data is likely more difficult to get from private schools than public.

Kelly signed a contract extension in 2016 and Notre Dame hasn't made any of his financials available to the public so I seriously doubt he's making what's listed by USA Today. It's safe to say he's being paid in the $6 million per year range or more.

Pre-injury Gurley? No, IMO.
Post-injury Gurley? It's pretty damned close.

Chubb has always had a tremendous work ethic (he played his HS ball in the region with my alma mater) and that aids him considerably. You simply aren't going to find many people who will outwork him, damned Dawg or not.

Agreed. It pains me to ever pull for a Dawg, but he is a quality young man. Good guy. Hard worker. Does it the right way. I want guys like him to succeed and bring those around them up.

Rooting for both SEC teams to lose. Looks good for first game. Impressed by Oklahoma's play calling and execution.

Defense is having no chance to play aggressive. Too many things to defend at the same time. If they could have found a way to make that goal-line stand, it could have changed momentum. At this point, I just don't see it. Though Georgia is a running team, they have already shown in this game that they can score quickly. But it is much easier to make up double digit point totals with a gunslinger than counting on a running back to break free.

I've been wondering this myself. How many more losses to the Buckeyes will Michigan tolerate?

ETA: Probably the reason it isn't warm is because everything is frickin frozen in Michigan right now.

Oklahoma is going to give up yards on the ground. A lot of them. IMO you have to be able to throw the ball really well to beat them. When WVU played them at OU WVU held the ball for 35 minutes and rushed for over 250, but with Grier out it didn't matter. OU still won by 4 TDs. Iowa State couldn't run the ball, but attacked the secondary at will and beat them.

People give the Big 12 defenses shit, but it's more about Big 12 offenses being damn near unstoppable and the pace the teams play at.

No, but he's at least enough of an upgrade to win that game today, the Michigan State one, and possibly the last 2 vs Ohio State.

I don't think the offense needs to change anything, D just needs to make some stops... and in the 3 minutes I'm typing this post it certainly looks like a whole new ballgame! Now let's see if Georgia can sustain the momentum if(/when) Oklahoma makes a big play.

I thought Georgia should have called timeouts at the end of the first half stopping the clock when Oklahoma was at the 2 to try and score again. (Kind of worked anyway in a bizarre way when Oklahoma messed up the kickoff)

And I think Georgia should go for it here on 4th and 1. Sooners offense is too good.

Just double your bet on the next game. If you lose then double your bet on the game after that. Can't miss!

Great day of football. Alabama/Clemson is going to have to bring it in order to compete with this game and the previous Auburn/Central Florida game.

Dawgs came out aggressive in the 2nd half on defense. They were fence sitting just trying to read and react in the 1st half.

Oklahoma killed OSU's defense when they attacked like this by TEs and RBs blocking and then releasing after the initial block. LBers lost track of their responsibilities and everything went to hell and Mayfield planted the flag. Something to look for maybe.

I don't think Peters has shown much of anything. His Wisconsin game was his best but that that was a .500 completion percentage and down 10-21 when he went out. Speight was pretty good in 2016 before the injury.
