I think you combine the hatred 49ers fans have for the Seahawks with a 49ers loss and you get uber bitch-fest

So, I'm selling my house and people came to see it right after Lynch had the 10 yard run after the INT. I listened to everything up to the two point conversion on the radio. Made it inside to see Thomas make the grab to send it to OT.

Try going to a game there (I went to the 49ers/Seahawks game in 2011). The fans genuinely believe it's them that's loud, not the stadium. As in God graced them (seriously) with special vocal chords to cheer on the team. It's beyond fanatical up there.

I didn't express an opinion on that post, other than the "fanatical" thing. What part am I hating on? The "blessed" thing? I'm just quoting.

Irony of all irony, Denver gets a defensive holding.

I'd cry, but what would be the point? Head locks are ok on receivers, but whatever Denver did isn't.

Denver fading badly. I don't think they'll be able to keep Seattle out of the end zone here. Was much more confident last week against the Chiefs. Wilson is just too damned good.

Oh well. Great game. Would be nice to play in a spot where they actually call things like PI, defensive holding, offensive holding and other cool things.

Pete Carroll can go F himself.

I hope they tweak the OT format again so the other team gets a chance to match the score. Would have been nice to see Peyton get another shot.

It seems to me the Refs take on one of two mindsets when they go into a game:

1.) Completely take over the game.

or

2.) Don't call anything, no matter what happens.

Yeah, I know. I always view this weekly thread as a fun online version of RedZone, when not dominated by penalty complainers or bad player behaviors (on/off field).

I watched the Niners game, they were screwed repeatedly. Denver was screwed repeatedly as well. Offsides allowed to stand. Headlock=good defensive play, not PI. Repeated poor calls capped by a defensive holding call on a critical play for Seattle.

The game was pretty much even and the calls did have an impact. (the offside non call was one of the worst non calls you will see this year in any game) The PI against the 49ers that locked the victory for Arizona was comically bad.

Those are simply facts. it doesn't change the results, but it's funny how few people really care about getting a call for their team. I do and have went on the record screaming at garbage calls that went the way of Denver on multiple occasions.

I don't care. I'm a whiner. I'll live with it. At least I whine for both sides.

I saw one of the replays of Manning's tying TD throw, and the view was from the endzone right at Manning. On the right side of the TV screen you can watch a Broncos' lineman try to rip the head off the pass rusher, twisting him right to the ground. Lots of missed calls in general.

It's part of the 3 and 1 rule. When the team not in possession commits a foul either behind or beyond the basic spot, the penalty is enforced at the basic spot.

Assuming this is a running play (a completed pass is considered a pass followed by a running play when it's possessed), the basic spot is the previous spot when the run ends behind the neutral zone....end of the related run when it ends beyond the neutral zone.

That's why it was tacked on.

If the pass was incomplete it would have fallen under a pure pass play and the basic spot for enforcement would be the previous spot.

Cards/Niners game was like a "Tale of Two Halves"-Cards couldm't stop anyone and Kaepernick was in complete control. Then they switched uniforms at the half or something because the Cards looked like a totally different team-and the Niners lost all control, especially when the flags started flying.

Really was surprised by Stanton this game-looks like they opened the playbook for him compared to last week. Had a lot of zip on his passes, and accuracy too-no INT's in either game. Seems to have a good chemistry with Floyd and Brown, and was not afraid to step up and take big hits in the pocket.

I'm not usually one who concentrates on penalties-I don't know enough about the rules to give my opinion on most of them, so all I can say rightly or wrongly the 49ers let them get to them from the coach on down. It was getting pretty ridiculous when it was something like 34 yards to get back to the goal line after penalties backed the Niners up that far. The blocked FG attempt then was the real dagger to the chest I thought.

So my beloved Cards are somehow one of the last of the undefeated with a backup QB and a defense that only sometimes echoes the defense of last season. Leading the NFC West by themselves after just 3 games. Now they get a bye to hopefully let Carson Palmer recover from his injury and what seems a backup who can take over until he does.

Thanks. I'm not sure I completely understand, but I basically get it. I thought it was always either/or not both.

13 points is probably just too much to overcome, I mean there's only 26 minutes left, no one can score that much, right?

Cam's ankle isn't right I don't think, he's gotten hit a lot the last couple weeks. Also, the fact that Byron Bell is the left tackle can't be helping.

It's a conversation I'll be enjoying on 980 for the next X weeks.

I don't know if I'm sold on him. Yes, he lit it up this week but he still had some bad passes and didn't show all that well at the end of last year. Of course the locals will probably go wild for him. As a divisional opponent, I don't know if I exactly fear him yet though. Today may have just been lightning in a bottle (heck, McNabb had a couple of those while in WAS and was then run out of town on a rail).
