Home opener for the Gophers. After hanging with Florida at the Swamp, we're really confident. I hope we beat the hell out of BYU!

Another Michigan/Notre Dame, another classic, as this year Michigan rolls in South Bend and gets their second big road win of the season, 51-42 vs the Irish.

It was a game that saw way too many big plays for both sides, but the clutch kicking of Michigan true freshman John Mitchell (3/3 FG) ended up being the difference.

ND held us three times inside the 20, but Mitchell was able to connect with all three FG chances, proving to be the difference.

ND is loaded with talent, we were lucky to escape this one with a win.

GG as always Galaxy.

ND is already pissing me off trying to steal my recruits

I was worried about Ohio State with their 99 ratings across the board, but Pryor throws are very weak and we picked him off a few times. They started relying heavily on their run game which we managed to mostly shut down. 38-3 win.

Ronald Johnson with 6 catches for 112 yards and 2 TD's. McKnight has another strong game with 24 carries for 139 yards (Havili stole his 2 TD runs when McKnight was out of the game catching his breath) and 6 catches for 121 yards.

You two. My run defense just went to crap in the 2nd half after a strong first half. I think we could get to a BCS game if we can take care of our non-RFL games.

I'm like that annoying neighbor who keeps coming over to your house (or in this case, California).

Actually, the one I'm most annoyed by is a midwestern kid that I'm trying to take out west, so lay off.

Then again, you are competing hard for a couple of my local kids as well. Go away, no one wants to chat with you right now

Last night I beat Maryland 24-17 in an annoying game. I'm not happy with the way I've played in either of my first two games.

Plus, we lost our starting tailback Shane Davidson for 8 weeks. This team needs to find its identity, otherwise this season could be ugly.

J.J. will be staying near home wearing the blue and gold.

Does anyone have the amount (and pursue them as hard) recruiting battles that we do? I know I compete with Dex and Michigan a lot, but I seem to lose or win the guys that I have at the top of my list in heated battles with USC.

Indiana takes care of business at Akron, winning 89-24. We allowed two kick return TDs, which annoyed me, so we ended up running our regular offense throughout the game, rather than going run-heavy in the 4th like we'd normally do.

Scott Allen got 4 receiving TDs and 1 kick return TD before leaving at the end of the third quarter. For whatever reason, Akron insisted on putting 8 in the box, so I kept punishing them for it.

Speaking of punishment, I left my starters in too long, and my starting QB got hurt late in the third. His backup, E.J. Daniels, played well, so hopefully we'll still win during the three weeks that Sampson will be out with back spasms.

Onward and upward, Indiana!

Like I said, they kept putting 8 in the box, so I kept hitting receivers in single coverage downfield.

Penn State started out slow against the Orangemen this week. Giving up a TD on the openning drive, stalling out right after, and then surrending another TD to go down 14-0 only a few minutes into the game. Shortly thereafter the Nittany Lions would roll though, and spank Syracuse in all facets of the game. Scoring a TD on Special teams, Defense, and of course several on Offense. PSU would run off 66 points en route to a 66-24 victory. Heisman front runner WR Zach Wright had 8 catches for around 124 yards and 2 TD's, and that was before he took a short pass 96 yards to the house to finish up with 9 catches for 220 yards and 3 TD's. We racked up another 150+ yards on the ground, and knocked both their starting QB, and their starting HB out of the game.

We are now two for two in knocking out the opposing teams starting QB.

When do we play Michigan again?

I think there are very few people here who could deny that actually, including myself. After all, we did all at one point come here because we liked a stat based football game

I actually consider myself not much of a stat whore. No, really. I'm usually quick to bench starters once I feel I have a saffe lead, because I am scared of losing someone I need when the game is already in hand. Like what happened to my quarterback last night. I scored 35 points in the 4th quarter, when all my starters were riding the bench. Akron's QB just kept turning it over, and we kept on capitalizing.

In IHOF, I rarely have standout players stat-wise, but my team is in the top 5 in all-time wins.

That being said, Scott Allen will be giving Zach Wright a run for his money this year.

Looks like Georgia Tech's game is underway, so that will leave us with just BC left to finish.
