Oh I know it! I wanted to go. But before UCLA's bowl invite was announced and finalized, I already had my holiday vacation plans set for before Christmas, not after. So I couldn't take the time off from work, and have to be in the office at 6 a.m. tomorrow. But I'll be watching! Looks like it will be a fun game. Have a blast tonight!

Will definitely be an exciting game to watch tonight......Last over/under I saw was 74, still thinks it's an easy over.

My friend just texted me that this game was slightly better than Ambien, at putting him to sleep. This RU offense reminds me of the 80s running teams that would just hope to win with 13 points and 50 rushes.

Saw the score (and the box score) and wondered. This would be VaTech's first losing season in 21 years.

and wow do they deserve it. Last year at this time NFL scouts said Logan Thomas was a top-3 pick. Now, I can't imagine he'd even get drafted, he's absolutely miserable.
A handful of VT coaches are coaching their last game tonight, most on the offensive side, so it's not surprising how flat they are. This game is a microcosm of the entire season. |

They are, well, really bad IMO. Their best win of the year was either beating GT in the season opener (by 3 in OT) or steamrolling Bowling Green, who was actually the only team they beat that will finish with a winning record (8-5).

This looks like a typical VPI game where they hang around and then win on a blocked punt or FG.

51 yard attempt (in college football) in heavy rain is not a decision i would expect Beamer to make.

I'm sorry for anyone who sat through that RU-VT game, unless it was for pure comedy sake. At least I hope you got as drunk as me and my buddies.
I'll say it again - Flood has got to go. I don't care if he won 9 games in his first year (I can explain how soft most of those were), he has shown me nothing. After that offensive performance, your first response is that "Gary Nova is still our starting quarterback"? Give me a fucking break. It reminds me of Rex Ryan over the past year: "This is the most talented team I've ever coached." You need to hold your players accountable for poor play. Flood is a guy who should have been fired as the OL coach two years ago, and he knows how lucky he is to be making $800K and also having stumbled into a B1G HC job. That's why you never see him open his fucking mouth when he's on the sideline. Just sits there with his pursed, Blue Steel lips. I only hope Pernetti has the stones to make a change prior to 2014 because there's no way in hell he's the guy to lead the program. |

A bowl game in Yankee Stadium in December is a terrible idea.
The Big 12 probably drops out of this game when the contract is up next year. |

I've never seen a coach absolutely frightened of his offense screwing up a game like Flood was last night. It seems like he wanted the defense to win it or Logan Thomas to lose it, but he wasn't going to put his offense in a position to screw things up. Nova is not a good QB at all and I don't know why Flood felt the need to call him the starting QB when the season is over. I'm sure he wanted to defend his player, but he comes off as either an idiot or someone that's completely out of touch with things. Not coaching to win is one of my biggest pet peeves in football. I watch Lovie Smith do it every week with the Bears and that's what Flood was doing last night. |

I was hurrying back from picking up my son at baseball camp and turned on the TV to see the snow on the field and knew we weren't winning this game. Our starting center is out and we just don't have a team built to beat teams in weather like this. |

Yeah... This game is pathetic (from a WVU point of view), but after watching the refs operate with the flags I said early in the 2nd quarter that we just need to start throwing the ball downfield and hope for big plays or PIs/holds. Maybe Syracuse has someone on their staff that can fill our coaching opening. They seem to know how to cover the screen pass audible pretty well over there... |

Some awesome refereeing there in the Texas - OSU game. The refs decide it's halftime and to let the clock run off even though it's clearly a first down, and then run off the field before OSU can challenge it

Looked like a 1st down but OSU should have called the timeout at the point where they saw the clock running down.

Why is everyone complaining about football? Once you get over the fact that it's silly to have 50 bowl games, it's kind of nice to have football on constantly this time of year.

Badgers QB Joel Stave will see the field in the Rose Bowl, which will give the Badgers some semblance of a deep threat when he's in. Yay. He's still unpolished but once he is able to go through his reads he'll be a good QB. But the key is, when he gets there and not all quarterbacks end up there.
