USF 46 at IU 45 in double OT. Great game where a couple mental mistakes cost me 6 points. Great game, Mike! |

Hope you folks don't mind, but Kalifornia is going to take over my slot. I figured that since I'm in the RFL, he could play in the tournament.

North Carolina (Wade Moore) 17 at Indiana (Kodos) 38. GG, wade. Tough to overcome the early pick sixes. You made it interesting in the second half before I was able to put the game away. Good luck the rest of the way. Last edited by Kodos : 08-04-2008 at 07:57 PM. |

Oops, I think I reported it in the wrong thread. Anyway, agreed that was a great game. Great job coming back from that first half deficit. Although, I think I was robbed on that late fumble reversal. I'm glad it didn't cost me the game.

I haven't been posting my results..
I don't have the scores in front of me, but I'm 0-2 with a loss to Kodos and a loss to Grammaticus. My XBOX freezing issues are making it hard to get more games in.

Not sure what we should do about the game between me and mik1409.
With :48 left in the game we were up by 10 and they had they ball. Then the storm knocked out my internet. Mike - not sure if you finished against the CPU to maybe determine it?

I did have the ball across midfield near the 20 if I remember. I consider the game won by you wade. I did finish against the CPU and scored with 10 seconds left but did not get the onside kick FWIW. Interestingly enough after the game I had the power go out here due to a storm also!!! Last edited by Mike1409 : 08-11-2008 at 12:20 AM. |

I definitely should have mentioned that he was in scoring position. But yeah, it would have all revolved around the onside kick. Thanks for being a good sport mike. Quote:
Hah - didn't realize UNC was your dynasty team. They're not my normal style so it has taken some time for me to get used to them, but they have some decent talent in key positions.

I thought that knowing UNC's strengths and weakness would help. And it did for awhile. That 2 minute flurry of 3 TD's was against the run of play for sure. The funny thing is I was using USF with UNC's playbook, because i like to have some running formations and theirs do not have any 2 backs sets. It probably hurt me more than helped as it wasn't a good fit for their personnel. Last edited by Mike1409 : 08-11-2008 at 05:01 PM. |

Well, in fairness to you two of the TD's of mine took advantage of you switching defenders at the wrong time and leaving my guys wide open.. then one move later i was able to score.

Arkansas (CMP) went up 14-0 on us in the first quarter, but we fought back to tie it up at 14 near the half. This play as time expired in the first half really set the tone for the rest of the game, as Arkansas opted to go for 6 rather than settle for a field goal.
Another interception return for a TD helped us out in the second half after CMP pulled to within 4, and we held on for the win, Arkansas 17 at Indiana 35. Good game, CMP. I really was expecting a loss after that horrible start. Good luck the rest of the way. |

Some players haven't even played one game? Maybe we should consider giving everyone another few days to get games in, and then just choose the teams with the best records at that point.

Maybe we could just DQ the losers that haven't played any of their games yet....and get on with the single elimination stage?

Sadly, I don't think that idea will even work. But, who knows! It was a good idea, though!

I can guarantee that I will play my remaining games in future rounds, win, lose, or draw.
If we do decide to give people more time, we should definitely PM them as to what's going on. Last edited by Kodos : 08-15-2008 at 05:04 PM. |
