Michigan 57 vs Utah 17
Not much to say here. We dominated them through the air with well over 400 total passing yards, anchored by RS FR QB Pat McCoy, who was 22 for 31 for 365 yards with 3 TD and an INT. Our D contained their QB with ease, and they just could not handle our 4 and 5 wide sets all night. Add in the fact my WR's combined for three incredible TD catches, and you have the makings of an entertaining slaughter. Setting the tone early Concentration is the key His head was in bounds motherfucka! Last edited by Kodos : 12-05-2008 at 01:58 PM. Reason: Because I'm anal and want things to sort correctly ;) |

UW kicks a last second FG to beat Oregon on the road, 30-27. Not sure how this game was even close. The computer AI on offense is highly suspect...they made some very funny plays out of the spread where the QB actually took like 3 steps forward and slid. Haha....behind the line of scrimmage. Anyhow, check out a couple highlights:
52 Yard TD pass to HB Parham (Lucky as a MF) Costly INT with about a minute left in the game, tied at 27. Set up the winning FG. |

Ugh, my QB was just awful against Galaxy's Fighting Irish. 10-27 with 5 picks.

First upset of the season. We knocked off #10 Texas and cartman in South Bend, 20-10. Our defense played incredible, forcing five interceptions. I don't think cartman was excepting our team to be as quick as it (and to be honest, neither did I). Two interceptions were made by junior inside linebacker Steven Hicks. The last one was the one that sealed the game late in the 4th quarter.
The star was junior halfback Jermaine Bednairk: 21 carries, 93 yards (4.4 yards per carry), 1 Fumble; 8 catches, 130 yards, 2 touchdowns, 0 drops. Both of Hick's Interceptions: Both touchdowns: And the late interception in the fourth quarter that sealed the game: Last edited by Galaxy : 08-01-2008 at 12:16 PM. |

Highlights: One of their two TD's.. My Defense does the Red Sea for their RB who runs for 50 yards and a score to make it 9-7 (we had a safety early in the game)
Our 2nd, (and as it turned out, last) TD, with a 1:05 to play in the first half Late in the game, up 17-14, 3rd and 9. Talk about all the things that have to go right on this play. You see, the pass was SUPPOSED to go to the guy further upfield, but it was well off target, and this guy tipped it to himself and got a yard beyond the first down marker. Finally, fourth and 1 with 0:19 to play. Don't trust the kicker, and with them out of timeouts, all I need is one yard and the game's over... and... got it...

cool, we can start playing our week 1 games now? nice, i'm gonna play mine (and lose) right away.
one good thing about NCAA football is there's no point in tanking. you lose, you just screw yourself the following year cuz it makes it that much harder to land better recruits. maybe pro sports should just have recruiting instead of a draft - those who manage their money well and can promise the most playing time can just rack up all the quality college players. instead of some teams just having a farce of a season cuz they want to try to get the top pick in the draft, like Cleveland with Lebron/Spurs with Duncan or San Diego Chargers shitting the bed to get the rights to aquire Vick. |

Yeah. They super-simmed three quarters or something like that after getting off to a big lead early. If that's the kind of results supersim is going to produce, we may need to think about a rule that you can only use it after x amount of time. I know there were issues with the supersim stats in last year's version.

The rule should be that you cannot EVER schedule and play an FCS team.

Not placing any blame on the owner, by the way. Just thinking that we might want to limit supersim so as to not effect the individual performance races for the Heisman and whatnot too much.

I had no option to reschedule that FCS team.
Also, My backup runningback had over 200 yards and 5 TDS after I started supersimming. He had no carries while I was playing.\ Edit: I think that the commissioner should go through and make sure that doesn't happen again next year because it looks like only the commish can edit the schedule.

It's not your fault (to be honest, I don't think anyone excepted that kind of score). I do think that we should be aloud to play a FCS team (that doesn't mean you couldn't play a weak team from Division I or whatever the NCAA calls it now). The commish (Kodos) has to do the scheduling changes, so just let him know. I guess the downside is the strength of schedule hit you get. |

I think we will make a policy of replacing FCS teams with real teams in the future. I almost suggested it this time, but we were having enough issues getting a schedule together that I decided to let it go. Next season, we'll make sure to address the situation.

Supersim is broken (like last year) in that it takes away much too little time. I think we have to add a rule that no supersim should be allowed for future weeks. Note, I don't blame bignej at all since we haven't addressed this.

As if. Is it true that this is the words to the Notre Dame Fight Song? Jeer, Jeer at old Notre Dame They think that they invented the game Bribe the best recruits to play Whine when the breaks don't go their way Whether the lead be great or be small They'll run it up to impress the polls While they're stealing millions Coming from N-B-C

We got a dirty disc error during the first drive of our game, which sucked, but at least it was early in the game I guess. My second attempt at the game went off without a hitch, and we handled Western Kentucky 35-7. The bad news was that I threw 4 picks in the game, one of which came deep in our territory and set up WK's only score. The good news is we won convincingly anyhow. A nice warmup game, but I've got to get the interceptions under control before I face some of the better teams.
Here was the best highlight from our game. Mack set up the screen nicely, and Mann took it from there. Last edited by Kodos : 08-02-2008 at 02:46 AM. |

USC beat Virginia 49-7 and our defense lived up to its "99" rating as they didn't allow any points. Sanchez threw 3 TD's and 1 INT which was returned for their only points. McKnight was great and had 15 carries for 148 yards and 3 TD's as well as 8 catches and a receiving TD.

The thing I like about the online league is that I'm very nervous to face this USC team in 2 weeks.

What are INTs set at in this game? I think I had 5 against WVU. A couple were deserved, but some were reminicent of last year's NCAA game where LBs, etc came out of nowhere to pick the pass.
