I Need A Shoulder To Cry On....

....because we found out today that our next baby is a girl. That makes 3 girls in 4 years.

Does anyone here have all daughters or more girls than boys in their family? I am already crying just thinking about it.

It's all girls (2 step daughters), my wife and me.

You should buy stock in a company that sells toilet paper. Other than cats, I've never seen a species go through toilet paper so fast.

Luckily the youngest one plays softball, so there is some sports to be found in the house.

Two daughters right now and a third due in January. Also have a stepson, the oldest of them all (7), whom I am also adopting. I think he will be more upset than I am about this, he really wants a brother.

Oh I am very much thankful for my kids' health. I am hoping for good health for this last one as well. I am just feeling a little overwhelmed with the prospect of so many females in the house. Females = estrogen = my insanity.

+1

My wife and I have been trying for years, had a couple miscarriages, etc. We are currently the furthest along yet at 14 weeks. I think this one might stick, and I will be happy with any healthy little baby.

I have three kids, all daughters age 8, almost 4 and soon to be 2. When we bought a house last October though I insisted that we had at least 2 bathrooms, one of which is guys only.

I am pretty sure once they start hitting teen ager years, I am going to buy myself a gun and a cleaning kit. I'm pretty anti-guns so I won't be buying any bullets or anything. Just buying a gun to clean any time one of my daughter's dates come over to pick her up!

Hah, sounds a lot like what I told my wife. I am not so much anti-guns but I don't own any either. I am getting a full alarm system (on the windows too), a gun to "clean" when dates show up, and security cameras surrounding the perimeter of my home (inside and outside). And yes, definitely 2 bathrooms.

3 in 4 years? I think you wife's womb needs a shoulder to cry on. Stop knocking the woman up man, or at least give her a break.

1 girl here, and the wife. That is it. And I don't really want to have any more kids but the wife does. She will probably win out since I have been barebacking it without pulling out for a while now.

My brother had two girls and just a few weeks ago finally had a boy. He was pretty happy about it I guess.

No more worries there, I had my vasectomy in July.

Heh, that is what got me 3 girls. Really, only the second one was planned. But I love them all the same, they are after all my kids.

No wonder you won't give me your address. You don't have a gun and you have a soon to be 17 year old daughter. I would show up and make her giggle and then you would have to kick my ass. I guess you going to have to find another shoulder to cry on.

Just wait till all those girls are in high school and going on dates with scumbag guys. That is what scares me more about having daughters than the fact I can't throw the ball around. I'd kill one of the boyfriends at some point.

Well, I wouldn't say "soon to be 17", as my oldest is 3.......but thanks for the support.

Yes, this is what I am worried about more than anything. I am going to have to open a very large can of whoopass in about 12-15 years. At least my son will be a big guy and can help me out.

Re Alan

We have this random toilet in our basement that I plan to turn into a full fledged bathroom within a couple years. Otherwise with one bathroom and 3 women I'm screwed. She had a tubal done after the 2nd c section. Not worth risking the 3rd C

WTF man. Romagoth is serious and you're making light of this situation. Everyone knows you should buy before they turn 18 and then let the investment mature so you can cash in on it later.

duh.

Buy cheap early and save a lot later on.

I actually had that happen once, or at least close enough to set the same tone.

Girl goes dragging me across the yard to meet her dad who is mostly obscured while retrieving something from the passenger side of his car via the driver's side. What he was retrieving was a hunting rifle, which he pulls out and turns in my direction with (as he looked to see what his daughter was screeching at him about).

I'd almost guarantee the look on my 17 y/o face was worth at least $50.

My wife would agree in principle to trade one of our boys, a 2nd round pick, and $350 cash for a daughter to be named later.

Yeah...2 boys and my wife really wanted to have a daughter. We're probably 80% likely to not try again...but who knows in a few years.

As the father of two boys, sharing the house with a housemate with three boys, all between two and 11, I can say there's some upsides to having all girls, definitely.

At least I'm not the only one. I heard on one of the worst shows ever GHI that something sounded just like a dragon hissing. I thought I bring that up since MikeVic's circus music sounds like something that doesn't exist.

I had it on the sci fi channel and ghost hunters international was on, I was playing power pros and looking at the computer and heard something about a dragon and had to rewind it to hear it again.
dodo bird reference much like a dragon does not exist today.

Daughter (9 months old) and wife and me right now - we are going to have 1, maybe 2, more, and we are hoping for a boy next, but my luck it will probably be a girl.

Sorry to hear that, I meant no offense with this thread to those who are unable to have children (or complications thereof). I love my kids and they mean the world to me. I guess the thing right now is that I really had it set in my mind that this time we were having a boy, and that my daughters would have an older and younger brother to help look out for them. Not to mention the balancing of hormones in the house. With another girl on the way, there will be too little androgen and too much estrogen going on. This doesn't diminish how I feel about my children, just an observation.

Females are just rather odd.
