FWIW I am hoping that Cincy is undefeated and in the Top 4 by end of season. It would be great to see a Cinderella team win it all or, at least, put up a really good show.

I do lean towards SoS being a factor and Cincy has had it easy at 50 (Hogs are 14 and the Top 5 are owned by SEC teams as reference). Frankly, I think Cincy will be whupped against a GA or AL, but I'm willing to give them a chance.

There's been Power5 teams whupped in the playoffs also. So let's give Cincy a shot. If they get into the finals or win it all, that will shut down a lot of the critics about non-Power5. If they lose badly, that will shut down the proponents of the non-Power5.

Let's get it on.

Reports are saying Mel Tucker is signing a sizable extension at MSU, which is going to get LSU scrambling.

I have reached a place with college football in general and the University of Miami football program specifically where I just learned that Miami will be playing FSU this week.

Nah. Whatever happens or doesn't happen to Cincinatti won't shut down any of that. It's one team in one year.

I think the time that's passed and how much worse Oregon's loss is already tilts it by itself, with no other factors being considered. The fact that OSU has overall been a fair bit more impressive against the teams they have played than Oregon has been just pushes it a little further.

FSU plays UF in basketball and Miami in FB this weekend and I'd consider a loss to UF in basketball a much more consequential outcome than whatever happens in the FB game.

The committee did talk about their rankings and claim the Penn State win is a really good win. I can only guess they haven't watched Penn State play in awhile because that's a crummy team.

Also if we're doing the eye test thing like with Oklahoma, Oregon should be knocked down because of that too. They've been struggling with some terrible Pac-12 teams.

Penn State isn't crummy. They're good, though certainly not great, with a healthy QB. They're mediocre at best without one. You only play with who shows up of course, but if Clifford doesn't get hurt against Iowa it's extremely likely Ohio State is their only loss at this point. They played bad against Illinois no question, but still.

#22 Coastal Carolina has a lovely fall day to play Georgia State today at home at 2 pm. Coastal is favored by 11 over 4-5 Ga State and has a 12 game home winning streak to defend. Ga State barely lost to the other Sun Belt ranked team Louisiana last week, and got crushed by App State earlier.

Coastal is going with its backup QB again today, and last I heard they still had not been able to diagnose McCall's injury which seems odd in today's time of medical knowledge. Still unknown if he will we back this season or not

#25 Hogs are 2.5 pts favorite against LSU. I'll take another close win but hoping it'll be easier on my nerves than last week's squeaker.

It's a night game at LSU so wouldn't put it beyond the Hogs to be rattled by the fan base (like it was at GA).

I had no idea the Florida players liked Todd Grantham enough to go to these lengths to make his firing look like a mistake.

(21 points and over 200 yards allowed ... to Samford ... in the first quarter)

I wasnt watching the game, but I guess Baylor needs style points?

Just saw this tweet:

"The FG at the end for a 27-14 win for Baylor instead of a 24-14 win might actually have a material impact. The Big 12 is the only FBS conference that uses scoring differential as a tiebreaker, and those 3 extra points may move the needle for the conference championship."

Tennessee may be a really bad match up versus Georgia. Their offense is one that has the potential to give Georgia fits like it did with Alabama. If Georgia holds them ten or less points, I will be shocked.

Georgia down by 7, the largest deficit this season. It will be double digits at some point this game.

Miss State is beating Auburn. Hogs were really lucky (their 3 missed FGs) last week. Bonus is it'll help our SoS.

Feeling better about the game, but a 14 point lead at half time is not comfortable against a team that moves the ball as fast as Tennessee.

The Dammit Vols defense is back I see.

And after 77 yards in 3 mins in the opening drive, UT gets just 107 more the rest of the half.

Coastal briefly took the lead in the 4th only to have State strip sack our QB and go in for the leading TD. But with about 2 mins left, Coastal was able to manage a TD drive to bring us within 2, but just as it looked like the magic was going to continue, Coastal missed both attempts at the 2 point conversion(after a penalty), and missed the onside kick too to make the final score 42-40.

the good news is that a local kid from Conway was Georgia State's winning QB today.

Yeah, Jon they need some work on defense. But Huepel definitely has the offense going in the right direction. Depending on recruiting, you got to feel good about his first year.

Georgia's missing both Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis. Carter hasn't played at all, and Jordan has only played a couple of snaps. They are couple of the 8 players that have a severe stomach virus.

The difference between Iowa and Minnesota is coaching. Fleck is going to be at Minnesota for quite awhile unless he starts pulling five and four star players out of his ass because his in-game coaching is seriously lacking.

Surprised that Michigan won the way they did - I thought they'd need to get off to a better start to win this one. Unless they lose to Maryland next week I think this year has to be considered a success regardless of what happens against OSU.

I can totally believe FSU coughed up a 17-0 lead but I can't believe we came from behind to win.

Hard, tough battle right now in Death Valley. The Hogs offense was pitiful 1H and the defense (for once) has kept us in the game. Offense is doing better in 2H and has some momentum.

QB Jefferson has made a couple really nice plays vs being sacked. Hope to see him in the NFL one day.

Haven't talked much about NDSU this year, but they are good. Not undefeated, rule the world good, but good. They lost to SDSU two weeks ago in a tough road game. I think the pushed the Jacks to #1 in the nation as a result. Then this happened, in the road against old foe USD. Probably one of the most batshit crazy finishes of the year.

Watched the Hail Mary replay and it was great. I guess refs don't bother calling pass interference or any other penalties in that crowd.

In other news ... great to be 7-3 (and 3-3 in conference) this morning. With AL and Mizzou next, legit chance to be 8-4 which should get us to a nice bowl.
