So we're last one third of the way into the year.. but not a big deal. Five points seperates Chicago from me, and we have some good momentum with two wins in a row..

In the West, San Jose looks to be the class of the conference.. Chivas USA is much better now then they were in real life (all the transfer moves probably helped, on the data update!).. LA and Dallas have comfortable leads on Colorado and Real Salt Lake.

5/21: Game 11 at Kansas City

Big chance to move up here in the standings..

They have the better of the play, but Noonan gets a counter, and puts one past the goalie (his 7th of the year!) and 18 minutes in.. GOOOALLL REVS 1-0!

They do score an equalizer at the halfhour mark through Scott Sealy.. and just before half, score a deserved go ahead goal from Josh Wolff, 2-1 Wizards at halftime.

They just bunker in, and I notice that we're not a grinding team, apparently. We don't have the discipline needed to break down defenses slowly.

We fall 2-1, our mini-winning streak over.

To make things worse, James Riley suffered a hip injury, and we have three options.

Specialist: 2-3 Months out
Injections: Play in next game but then be out 3-8 months (!!!!!)
Physio: 2-5 months out.

Really is there a choice? GET THE NEEDLES READY...

Nah,, just funnin ya.. He's off to see the specialist.

Going to less detailed reports for a bit.

Two draws to report, at home against the Mutts, and away at Chivas USA.

The USA rekindled there world cup hopes with a must win game against Mexico, and they won by the official score of US v Mexico, dos a cero (2-nil if you no habla espanol ). That puts them in third, but they have a tough away game at Costa Rica four days later.
