My take on it is the train event caused a random death in the firefight. I don't think Poli's death was actually initiated by anyone.

Abe, can you clarify this at all? I didn't see this as a night kill at all. Poli's death was written up in the results of the train event?

still catching up. This is good but I think we still need a x3 there because you now could be a candidate for arrest, if possible.

I agree we need to take precautions about an arrest. Here's what I propose. I propose that I and one of the two food distributors, let's just say Lathum for convenience, go on the mission. Eagle holds his powder. We'll know after the mission if ntn or Eagle has been arrested. If both stay unarrested, I think Eagle backs up oratory (taking my slot) while ntn finishes food. If one of them is arrested then the other finishes food.

Now all this assumes that if we lose this camp we don't automatically die. I say we don't, as evidenced by the explicit two people being voted off scenario. If this is the case then ntn, even if a wolf, has no incentive to cheat since we'll automatically make him one of our two lynchees.

If we're thinking of trying to pull off the village and the mission, then I think back to what some said regarding the recruitment mission before. I think you need to have an orator or gladhander or one of each in order to recruit. If everyone thought that the mission looking for items demanded searchers, then who's better at recruiting than the gladhanders or the orators?

Parts of my Bibliography include:

Black Coal Miners in America
When Miners March

And the WV Department of Culture has a massive amount of historical archives which include transcripts of Senate testimony, and various historical documents like newspaper clippings, internal company memos, and letters.

Quoted because I'd like to hear what others think and feel it might have gotten lost in the shuffle over the train.

I think this plan makes sense as long as all our work counts as normal today.

IF others agree I'll go on the mission.

Abe has confirmed blacks will count as normal. Of course we don't know about other races. And your point is well taken. I think Glengoyne has charted a better safe than sorry course for the camp. Of course it sounds like winning this mission is a pretty big deal as well.

I can go with your take there BK. Oh and my plan was definitely a better safe than sorry option. That second camp where we allowed the arrest to block the conversion looms large in my mind.

I have sent in my request to use the food, so hopefully something will be told me shorrtly. (not that I will hear it as Ihave a test to give ) I wouldn't expect another item from me tomorrow. I did not get any pms. I will only have the same items I had at the start of the day.

Well considering it's Day 6, can we assume you've had 6 objects of some sort? We know for sure at least two (the knife + food).

One of your fellow miners has found some food supplies and used them. The food distribution task for today will automatically be successful.

Well that's very helpful. So I think it frees one of the food distributors to go on the mission and the other to backstop some other work.

The military commission was ruthless. Men were not able to speak on their behalf, and were tried up to 80 at a time, later Senate investigation would show. Not one company person was sent to the military tribunal. Men would wait outside in a holding area until a decision as to their guilt and the sanction, then they were usually incarcerated as part of their violation. There are numerous cases of miners who were not even affiliated with the union getting 5, 6, 8 or 10 years because they tried to stop a mine guard from beating someone or questioned their behavior.

With last night's event not a wolf action that tells me that we had a conversion.

Leading candidates would be Lathum and myself. Of course the wolves could also have stayed away from us because we would be the assumed targets and would be looked at first.

Though I feel like I am completely in the dark here sometimes I definitely am liking the game.

As RendeR said.... how in the hell did they ever unionize?

This is giving me some ideas for my next game. Not based on the same topic, but something with a historic tie in. (I've done television and movie, might as well go historic next)
