Not only is Alex Jones forced to finally face some of the Sandy Hook parents, he seems to have had his dumbass of a lawyer sent his texts and emails to the defense by accident. Which are now being used to disprove some of his statements from yesterday. (Where there was also an utterly disgusting moment after the session closed, when one parent offered him a bottle of water and he basically tried to tell the parents how they were mislead and fed fake videos. No hole deep enough for that guy.

Holy crap, reading Twitter feed of courtroom proceedings right now where it was revealed that Jones's attorney accidentally sent opposing counsel 2 years of email and texts not previously disclosed in prior discovery. They say they told Jones's attorneys of the disclosure, got no response and now they are making Jones read some of the texts in court.

Alright lawyers:
A. How does this happen? Does he give his phone to his lawyers for "safe keeping?" They know there is a subpoena out for it. Can't they get disbarred for hiding evidence? B. How do they then mistakenly send it to opposing counsel? Why in the world would that be anywhere near where an accident like that could happen? C. Is it possible his attorney's hate him as much as everyone else, and they sent that over on purpose? |

I am 100% a transactional attorney, so there may very well be some sort of "chess instead of checkers" thing going on here but I don't know because I don't do trial work. My first thought was the attorney purposely falling on his sword in an attempt at a mistrial?

Seems like an incompetent defense team.
I can believe he will survive a massive judgement (e.g. bankruptcy, hiding the money etc.). He'll be hurt, downsized etc. but probably still living better than 99% of us. So I sure would like to see perjury charges come up. His ass belongs in jail. |

So after being flabbergasted yesterday, today the defense attorney tried to raise a stink about the phone data and the whole thing is spectacular. Highlights include:
- He did make an attempt to take it back but failed to follow any procedural practice, much less properly. All he did was write a mail saying "please disregard" (and i read elsewhere he did even that too late but not sure where) - Judge has no shits left to give about the upteenth try to request a mistrial - the judge doubts that the plaintiffs lawyer could deny a request from the J6 committee even if he wanted to - plaintiffs lawyer referred to "an intimate message to Roger Stone" -there were medical records in the data from other parents related to another trial that the defense lawyer had no business even having

You know the scary thing, DeSantis will be 45 in 2024, lets say Trump's camp reaches out with a deal to run as VP under Trump, then Trump endorses him in 2028.
That is a playbook that could work if the Democrats can't come up with a candidate that energizes the voting base. |
