Does JUnit have sliders to d/l?

if so, what's his actual Xbox Live name?

Or do one of you have them for d/l?

Nevermind - just found them on operationsports.com message boards. Gonna go try them now. I imagine they'll be pretty tough for me .

Played a game between Garfield and Tucker County with JUnit's sliders.

I like the feel, but I know that I personally am going to get crushed by any teams with talent. That's probably how it should be, but...

Yeah it's tough. I am 3-0 with SMU who is a D+ overall but my biggest win is a vs a C- Washington State team I took to OT. I have TCU next and I suspect I'll be run off the field.

FWIW I lost to Tucker County, but that was with them getting 2 or 3 pick 6's when I was just forcing the ball BIG time.

NOT a good idea on these sliders.

That's okay. Sliders were too easy in the NCAA 2009 leagues.

Definitely not complaining. It gives us room for growth.

More a warning than anything else.

Not sure what's up with Allpro's Pirates. Nothing to find under his gamertag.

So at this point, we're waiting for cmp to update his team to specifications, and are looking for a replacement for Allpro again (due to his non-participation). An inquiry has already been sent to Grammaticus. If he can't go, I'll approach SirFozzie next.

I'm good to go. Am I using his created team or do I need to get my own school created and tagged with recruiting grades?

Welcome aboard! You'll need to create one (or have someone create one for you), give them the right stars (2), use the cupcake roster, and apply the recruiting grades. Allpro didn't have a team made yet.

Junit equalized the Human/CPU QB accuracy which is something I had already done on my own. Here are his sliders. The only thing I would change is decreasing Interceptions for both sides to 10. At 15, there are a few too many in my opinion:

All-American

9 minute quarters (or 8 minutes if you don't use Chew Clock ever)

HUM/CPU

QB Accuracy 10 / 10 (I went with 10 for each side because the CPU was too inaccurate at 5)
Pass Blocking 50 / 40 (Raised it a little bit because there were too many sacks each game. Seems good here)
WR Catching 45 / 45 (At 40 or below there appears to be too many drops)
RB Ability 50 / 55 (CPU went back to 55. 60+ equals herky-jerky. Dropped HUM tackling to 45)
Run Blocking 50 / 50 (Anything above 50 and kick returns are too easy)

Pass Coverage 60 / 60 (I moved HUM to 60 from 65 because CPU was at or below 50% comp too often)
Pass Rush 75 / 65 (knocked this down to 65 for CPU and 75 for HUM because sacks were a little high on both sides)
INT 15 / 15 (bumped this up another notch because I was seeing a couple too many dropped INTs)
Rush Defense 10 / 45 (I like HUM at 10. At 5 I was seeing some weird reactions by LBs and DLinemen)
Tackling 45 / 50 (dropped it to 45 for HUM for both to boost the run game and kept it at 50 for CPU for the challenge)

FG Power 10 / 10 (5 for each side may have been a tad too low, but 10 allows for good legs to shine)
FG Accuracy 25 / 45 (at less than 30 for the CPU they will miss every other FG wide right or left)
Punt Power 40 / 40
Punt Accuracy 25 / 50 (lowered it for human to get a little variety in my punts instead of putting it right where I want it)
KO Power 55 / 55

Penalty sliders:

Offsides 100
False Start 100
Holding 50 (over 60 and there are holding penalties galore)
Facemask 55 (over 65 and there are too many facemasks IMO - took it down to 55 awhile ago, but forgot to edit)
OPI 100 (I still don't see enough of this called)
DPI 100 (I still don't see enough of this called either)
KR/PR Interference 70
Clipping 55
Intentional Grounding 70
Roughing the Passer 65
Roughing the Kicker 70

Sub settings:

QB 55/80
RB 84/85 (went back to 84/85 due to subbing issues)
WR 84/85
FB/TE 75/80
OL 60/80

DT 84/85
DE 84/85
LB 65/80
DB 60/80
S 60/80

I've been meaning to post the little note at the bottom of his sliders, but fear offending someone .

1st 3 games of year 2 with my cupcake team in a dynasty with these sliders.

Beat USF34-24. I got a pick 6 to go up by 10. missed an XP!
Lost to UF 9-51 In the game for a half, then got crushed
Lost to UVA 24-62. I got sacked 9 times and had 10 penalties!!! My defense gave up over 600 yards.

These sliders are very good and challenging! Each game was completly different.

By the way, I just checked, and cmp hasn't been on the board since the 28th, so the odds are we won't be up and running tonight.

Turnaround shouldn't be too bad. Only 8 of us a week, I'd think everyone gets done in 4 days like in EBFL but I could be wrong.

If we aren't, I won't be able to get anything done until Monday night. I should be home from my trip by about 9 PM central on Monday and will do it ASAP once I get home. Sorry about that.

No problem. I'm going to be out of town from tomorrow until Monday anyhow. But it's looking like the league will have to postpone the start for a few days anyhow.

Wade, I plan 4-day cycles, but will always include at least one weekend day.

I uploaded the Highland Park Giants under bt800. They should be ready to roll.

I wanted to make the Maryville Rebels, but can't get the logo to work correctly.

Basically we are selecting cupcake rosters and not touching any player skills with edits, correct? That means we will all have teams that are the same, except maybe for names.

Actually, with the progression bug, we're probably abandoning the sim ahead idea. I plan to change some numbers on my team, just so they don't look like a clone of everyone else. Even though they are.

But yes. No attribute changes or size changes or stuff like that.

So when do you get back? I wouldn't mind a few days to actually play the game before the league starts up. I've been spending most of my time messing with teambuilder and testing things out. Think I've only actually played 2 games.

I leave Monday and come back the following Monday. So yeah, for me personally, it would be nice if we could get it up and running before then. I don't want to be the holdup for the league getting started. In theory if we could get things setup before then, we could have me finishing up week 2 as soon as I get back or something.

Idano. I just worry with how we want to stuff as many seasons in as we can when things keep getting pushed back.

Good to know. And if we are delaying start, I'd probably like to go in and create names or something to distinguish my team from the others.

Yeah, I might use names of actual guys from my high school days.

I don't think a week will make a difference in the end. We knew coming in that there would be a dead period while we waited for patches, sliders sets, etc.

Do people want to get rid of the FCS schools from our schedules, or should we suck enough that a cupcake or two on the schedule would be nice?

What is chew clock? Is this a setting that you use or is it just manually waiting for the clock to tick down? If it is a setting, where is it in the game interface?

Kodos - I updated both Tucker County and Garfield. I hadn't seen the "Random Names" button before, so I've done that on them now.

When you're picking plays, hit b and it's at the end of the menu list. Basically it's like accellerated clock. It takes the play clock down to like 11 seconds when the clock is running.

BTW - I started an offline dynasty. Played my first game against an FCS team.

Yeah, we definitely need to ban those. With this initial roster, these sliders, and ME playing - I won like 55-0 or something.

I'm back (got in late) and am definitely in favor of banning FCS teams. Just to make sure I understand (definitely not complaining), we are in a holding pattern right now, right? Nothing that I need to try to get done tonight or early tomorrow?
