Sometimes this game makes me mad. I gave up a 95-yard TD run with seconds left in the first half to cut a 24-14 lead to 24-21. Then I passed up a fairly easy field goal on 4th-and-short -- with the predictable bad result. Then I missed a game-tying field goal as time ran out. Arrgh. I can already see that we won't be moving up the Ladder again this year.

Ugly Ugly Ugly. Missed a 21-yard straight-on FG in the first half, threw a pick in the endzone, had a fumble recovery overturned, but managed just enough offense in the second half to put away a pesky Wake Forest team and get revenge for my first game ever in this league.

Holy Cow! My huge TE just broke 5 tackles on the way to an 87 yard TD reception!

That reception was the play of the day in which we dominated Air Force, 49-13.

The pendulum swung the other way. My defense pitched a shutout while my offense put up 50+. Probably a good thing that I had nearly 10 recruits in attendance.

I don't know what some of the recruits are waiting for. We have a bye before our game-of-the-season matchup with USC.

I hated losing to North Texas...it took every shred and fiber of my soul to not throw my controller through my TV.

They busted off a long TD run as their RB mowed through 5 defenders and jumped another.

They had 1 LBer that could jump over the empire state building. Also, Evans is a solid return man as he ran a KR back for a TD, but I think I might move Ingram into the starting slot as Evans is not an every down back, he is getting hurt every game.

I would have been pissed if this had cost me the game. Luckily I was able to get the win and just make it something to laugh at.

The fact that WRs might actually adjust to the ball as well is one of those things that has me excited about moving to NCAA 13. The fact that I've heard the promises before has me dreading it...

If nothing else, I have seen much less if any psychic DB activity in 2013. And receivers seem a little more aggressive in going after the ball.

3 of the recruits signed after our big win last week. Got bowl eligible this week with a 45-35 road win over UCLA.

Just an FYI, if there is an extension, I am out of town from the 17th to the 21st. I will be able to get a game in the night of the 16th if we move forward but after that, I won't until I get back.

I'm headed on vacation on Saturday, but the beach house we're renting says it has wifi. I may just bring along the xbox -- you know, so the family can watch netflix and stuff. Really, it's all for them. So if I can get hooked up, I should be able to keep up with the league. If I disappear until the 25th, however, you now know the reason.

I got down by 14 early and struggled to throw the ball the whole game. So I stopped throwing. 200+ yards rushing later, I kicked the winning FG as the clock expired.

My last play was a run to the left to center the ball for the kick and my backup RB fumbled. As I was about to hurl the controller through the TV, the ref called for a replay. As near as I can tell, that always means it is about to be overturned. Which it was. Whew.

What better way to include them...hey, I need to go in and move forward a fake football league for a bunch of online nerds that I play against on a weekly basis....want to watch?

I will be starting my game in the next hour. Sorry for going right up to the deadline, but this is my "on week" of work and it's been very hectic. Doing 7 12 hour shifts in a row, then mostly off for a week.

I hadn't noticed the injuries, but I will know for sure after this week.

I lost my starting QB and HB early in the game. Both went down for the remainder of the year. Couldn't get any offense going but our defense held strong. We took a 7-0 lead late in the 1st half on a surprising run by our backup QB in which he ran over 2 defenders.

However, he threw a pick 6 early in the 3rd and it was all downhill from there. We fell down 21-7 and couldn't recover. We lose 21-14. Frustrating loss.

Last season I definitely had a WR out for several weeks. This season I thought I had lost my starting RB for a few weeks, but he was back in the lineup the next game. So not sure here.

Eaglesfan, we're up next, let me know when you are available. I'm available most nights after 8:15 Eastern, although I'd like to try and avoid Tuesday night if I can.

Sunday night around 9 or 10 Eastern is probably best for me (likely 10 is better.) I'm available all throughout the day next week starting Monday.

10 gets a bit late for me, although I may be able to try. The closer to 9 the better, but let me know and I'll be on.

I've been pretty weak on the road, so I'm not optimistic about my chances at Purdue.

As I mentioned earlier, I will be on vacation starting tomorrow. The XBox is coming with me, so I hope to get my game in. If you don't hear from me for a while, you'll know I had problems.

Got a huge win in Fort Collins, beating CSU 55-22. That sets up a showdown for the conference title next week against Iowa State.

Got home late from a Birthday party. Running late getting my fiance's girl to bed. Might be closer to 10. If that is too late, I should be able to get close to 9 tomorrow.

After a close 1st half, USC took control of the 2nd half and we won 23-7.

Good game, Greg.

Yup, after we scored a TD on our first drive, our offense started sputtering. USC's corners did an excellent job on our WRs, and we just don't have the running game to take over when our passing offense is shut down. Our defense played okay for its skill level, but we rely on our offense to win games, and they could not move the ball well on the USC defense.

Good game.

Ah. My short-term memory ain't what it was before we had kids. Plus, I'm not a guy who cares to invest a lot of time in research. If it's not on the current page of the thread, it's gone!

The weather sucked so we came home early. My game against Purdue sucked almost as badly as the weather.
