El done-o. Might make a full class this year, but it will probably take me the full 5 weeks to get it done. 7 scholarships left.

The good news is I'm grabbing more 4-stars this season. The bad news. A lot of them are sucky 4-stars.

I've been utterly trashing UTSA with a couple of recruits.

Landed a RB had been battling Utsa for, though I'm not sure they liked him as much as me.

A show down with duke is looming for a de

Landed a surprise Dt that we like a lot from sc...he was a soft to Clemson from the day we put him n the board, never OT within 400 points but an a+ in home seemed to seal the deal.

Got a couple of more commits. Looking good for getting several more 4* guys. Glad I had 11 open schollies to use!

No new signings, but I got a 79-rated DE to switch from "Soft Georgia" to "Soft USF"!

He must have really enjoyed my visit. I brought over some of my amazing Chicken Casserole, we played some Spades, and I armwrestled his dad (who whooped my ass). The only thing about it that bothers me is that as an IU fan it hurts me to hurt my team.. But he could make some plays for us. I think he gave me a B because he barely touched that casserole. Probably too much paprika or something.

We picked up another recruit while calling people this week, so were down to 5 scholarships. I think we can fill that number in the next 2 weeks.

What are everyone's thoughts on singing scrubs just for pipeline status?

Seems gamey, and I've generally avoided it just for the sake of realism...but curious about the thoughts of others.

Every little bit helps, IMO. I don't employ the strategy myself, but I figure Texas is big enough I don't really need another pipeline state. I don't really pay attention to where a kid is from if I think he is good and I can get my hands on him.

I guess I'm gamey. I try not to let it get to the point where I have to sign a scrub to hold onto a state because I don't like to have to cut a better player to hold onto some guy that will never actually get into a game. Consider it the EA equivalent of keeping a scrub on the team in order to satisfy one of your wealthy boosters.

I value roster spots too much to go after scrubs but I definitely think about pipeline status in deciding which players I go after - I tend to do more of it in my single player dynasty in NCAA 14.

I try to add as many pipelines as I can. Last season, I signed scrubs from California and Florida to add them as pipelines. I figure teams in Texas and Cali have a natural advantage in the game, so I decided to add some of the bigger pipelines as well to level the playing field a bit. Rice, UTSA, USF, FAU and USC have the advantage of being located in huge pipeline states, and they still have an advantage with the closeness to home attribute, but adding those states as pipelines helps even things out for those of us not located in recruiting hotbeds.

I have recruited for this week.

I don't have room for any real scrubs right now, still building up roster strength. That said, I don't care if someone else wants to grab scrubs to get pipelines.

I have Florida and Georgia currently, and am set to add Ohio of all states next season...

I saw something on one of the forums where a guy did an "extensive" data run and determined that one of the bama schools was the best to start wth due to proximity to fl, ga, la, and tx...to maximize pipeline and prox scores.

Although I started a team in Alaska and had them ranked by year 3 on heisman... But I think that has more to do with the way the game sets up created teams with players from big recruiting states like Ohio and PA.

3 scholarships left, so I trimmed my final list to the three guys I want to fill those 3 scholarships.. I feel like one of them is a major under the radar gem, and I am currently 3rd on him, but I have only been recruiting him for 2 or 3 weeks and I closed the gap significantly.. Then this week I got the recruiting advisor bonus when I called him, so I was able to put up about 600 points this final week plus I am visiting him. I hope I can pull this off, this dude could play about 7 different positions.

Added a pair of nice studly DEs. I've now made over my entire D-Line, four players that would have started for me this past season (plus one depth guy who'll likely end up cut). Two more slots left, hoping for the 2 CBs to sign.

Done.
I lead for 3 4-star WR by a long margin.
Hope two of the three drop. Don't really want all 3 but will take them. Not sure why they won't jump on board though 1,000+ points in two cases for weeks.

Holding out hope for a jUCO CB I lead for who will be an insta-starter for my team.

6 schollys open and I dropped down to 6 targets I lead for, hopefully we get 'em all....even if it means taking three WR.

We need more people to take teams off the eastern seaboard. Going left-to-right:

1 human
2 humans
2 humans
4 humans

And people wonder why there is an east-coast bias ;-)

No rush, I was just being lazy and didn't want to swap discs on my xbox because I had planned to play some Civilization Revolution for much of the night.

We're on to position changes. As always, I'd do this stage in-game, not on the site.
