Tulsa wanted Heybrad. Rejected!

I don't know. My first offseason in 2014 as well. I imagine they are assigned to our teams.

While I hate losing my SR WRs who were rated 83,83 & 80, they did drop 22 balls between the three of them.

Next season you might just go ahead and not wait on the coaching carousel because it is still visible during this stage.

ready to advance, my QB is leaving, i have another guy who is better so any promise i make won't hold up unless there are injuries, probably not worth it for a backup.

Went thru each team to see their potential losses. Here is what I found for user teams. I'm interested in seeing if this stays the same when the next stage starts.

Looks like Texas St will be getting 2 transfers from Baylor and a 76 rated SO WR from Neb

ODU will be getting a transfer from Colorado

Memphis will be getting a transfer from Georgia St & NC State as well as a True Freshman 72 rated QB from Tenn

FIU will be getting a 67 DT from Minnesota

South Alabama is getting a stud 77 rated True Freshman QB from Miss St and a 63 RT from UCF

heh.

Yeah the transfer bug is still alive and well despite EA saying they fixed it last tuning.

For anyone looking to exploit...if you are down to only a rising senior starter and no back ups and havent signed a recruit at the position a nice transfer fairy will gift you the magic of talent.

You can exploit this by having a recruit ready to sign and not offering a ship until the off season stage...then get the transfer then offer and sign in the single offseason stage.

I didn't know about that bug, but, I had two QB's on my roster even after the transfer left, that's why I didn't promise anything. Assumed I'd get a walk on for #3 QB and i'd be ok. I have a young QB rated 73 or something styaing, he'll be 76 or 77 next year and would be my starter for a few seasons.

Rejected that 77 QB, my current backup is rated 71, so should be 74/75 next year and will start.

Does anyone think that a rule should be made about players who want to transfer in? Maybe a blanket rule that you can't accept them?

Why would we do that? Honestly, I have one transfer that will be backup but 2 others that will come in and be part of the rotation.

It's part of College Football...

My thought is because it is random. Takes a bit away from the building aspect if someone just hands you a crucial piece of your team.

My opinion is that if I can lose a player due to transferring then I should be able to receive transfers as well.

Isn't in real life?

I will use BYU this year as an example, I know we recruited one of the receivers, but the other contacted us and said, I want to come...

WR Jordan Leslie from UTEP is transferring this year and was recruited because our WR coach was their former WR coach.

WR Keanu Nelson from Stanford wasn't getting any PT, we recruited him back when he was a senior in HS but he went for the education, well he reached out to us saying, hey I want to finish my college career at BYU and he is transferring to us.

I understand, but to me we will lose players because we haven't held to our promises and we will gain players because their coaches didn't hold to their promises, yes it is random, but I think it is part of the game / field that we should have...and yes, I am being completely selfish with this and Memphis

On transfers out, it is usually (always?) your fault. On transfers in, it is random. If players you originally recruited later decided to transfer in, great! But we all know EA doesn't do stuff that cool.

It's not a big deal. If there is anyone else on my side, we can hold a vote to decide the issue. If I'm the outlier, that's fine too. In any case, I think Radii rejected his stud QB transfer for similar reasons.

We already have the problem where, at least for some owners, the game is too easy on the field. I wouldn't mind stomping out one of the too easy aspects of the off-field game.

I don't know if this was just random or what, but I found it interesting at the time that the transfer FIU is getting from Minnesota was originally from the state of Florida.

I would support such a rule, but Im not overly zealous either way.

The XFER does have to sit out a season...but in another league an owner was kicked for changing his entire backfield (Qbs and RBs) to CBs and WRs.

He then played the players out of position.

IE they still played Qb and RB but were listed as CB and S and got 75+ transfer freshman at both positions. Essentially negating the reason to recruit those positions.

See, I am for making this a rule other than negating transfers.

Again I dont super feel strongly either way, but I dont like the fact that trasnfer ins are completely random...IE you can do nothing good to attract them...

But I am ok either way.
Transfer outs are a bit random as well since you can no longer tell how keen someone is on PT..and Ive had freshman leave after a redshirt...but at least I know the risk when I RS them.

Im cool either way but lucky dice roll adds stud QB seems to kill the building aspect of the game

I don't care at all what we do w/ transfers. If anything I'd love to see all of them accepted (and later cut at your discretion) or declined so that we can just skip the stage and save a few days on the season. But in the end it doesn't matter at all to me.

I agree with this. Either accept or ban all and skip the wait portion of this phase.

As do I. However, how do we schedule visits on the web during the offseason? Almost everyone is saying "ready" but I can't schedule anything like I did during the regular season.

There are no longer any off season visits.

Recruiting is reduced to a one shot deal where you get a pile of points to throw at as many players as you choose. Then advance and see what ya got.

Thanks, that's kind of what I gathered from looking around online. It just seemed odd to me that most of my recruits were "Ready", which is what was confusing me.
